Rewatching E4, I'm laughing hysterically over the argument between Hongri and Zihan. They are trying to come up with excuses on who (between Bai Jue and Tianqi) is a better match with Shanggu. They are so funny! 🤣 Gosh, I miss the liveliness and humor in the early episodes.

Oh be prepared for much more 😭 for E40-49. This is where it gets more angsty and heartbreaking. But enjoy the rest of ALP and hope you like the drama.

I've followed most of his dramas and would have to say his acting has greatly improved in ALP. His micro expressions are great in ALP. Have a box of tissue with you because I certainly needed it. Which was a complete opposite from FIYS. 😂

I'm actually waiting for the subs for E48 to cry again. 😂 Two more days.

As many have mentioned, they were married in the novel. It's in Epilogue 14. I'm hoping it might be the part in the novel where they are getting married and not be a dream.

Yes, I've mentioned before about how Xu Kai is great with his micro expressions. During the second half of the drama, scenes when he's trying to be a cold Bai Jue, those microexpressions of Qingmu periodically showed up. Xu Kai was able to portray those expressions really well with his eyes. His eyes are able to convey the sadness, hurt, heartbreak throughout the drama. Great performance!

I watched E48 raw and cried without understanding Bai Jue and Yuanqi's conversation. 😭 But you could feel the emotions jumping out from Bai Jue all mainly due to his EYES.

I'm not sure exactly when Bai Jue fell in love with Shanggu, but you see they are attracted to each other in E2 when he helped her opened her God vessels. The scene of Bai Jue dredging her powers was their start. You see them being happier around each other. Bai Jue would often show her his soft smile, while just being the Ice Cube around everyone else.

But I feel by E10 he was definitely in love with her because he split his spirit just to protect Shanggu while she was in the Nether World for 1,000 years.

This is a completely different genre compared to L&R or even ALP. I just finished ALP and it's my top xianxia drama, right above L&R. That being said, on my favorite drama list ALP still fell a bit short of TLB (just my opinion though). I LOVE this drama. The drama has a great storyline, strong ML (both male and female), beautiful cinematography and the OST is amazing as well.

I too loved L&R last year, so I was surprised to find that I enjoyed this drama and ALP very much this year. I didn't think I would find anything to beat L&R, but I did. I would give this drama a try.

During my rewatch, in E3 Shanggu said to Bai Jue:

I like the way you protect me.

I was thinking if only Shanggu knew the extent of which Bai Jue will do just to protect and love her. Their life in the God Realm was bittersweet.

Agree. I've seen him in other dramas before, even in Jiu Liu Overlord where he was the ML. However, I love him as Gu Jun in this drama, and especially E41.

I've rewatched E41 multiple times already. It's one of the few episodes that I don't mind rewatching. 😂 This particular episode has great performances and executions from multiple actors.

You see great acting from Xu Kai in both dramas. I don't know how many times I've cried throughout the ALP drama, especially the second half of the drama.

I personally love Bai Jue more because of his sacrificial love. Qingmu is an extension of Bai Jue, where he could be a bit more carefree than Bai Jue and have the opportunity to express his love without any True God responsibilities on his shoulders. I believe the emotions and actions Qingmu has shown are actually from Bai Jue.

Yay!!! It's going up. Hope it's not another glitch. Looks like there are a lot of people who still have this in their "Plan to Watch" list. Hopefully, that can help boost up the rating after they watch it.

You have to admit Xu Kai's microexpressions here are really good. During the scenes when he's trying to be a cold Bai Jue, those microexpressions of Qingmu periodically show up. Xu Kai was able to portray those expressions really well with his eyes. Of course, props to the production and director for being able to capture those moments.

You have to keep watching just a little more to see her character growth. The next episode you're coming up on is really good. Great acting from Leo Wu.
