I agree there's a big difference between the two. I LOVE Gu Jun's character, morals, and integrity. Wu Huan doesn't know how to treasure what she already has. She's getting way over her head with that greediness of hers. And her two bratty children as well. 😂

You might have read some spoilers, but Wu Huan gets so MUCH worse. She's a great villain in here. I literally HATE her when she comes on screen. 😂 Great actress.

Agree. There are even more examples after E42 that will clearly show Qingmu and Bai Jue are the same person. He just has to hide his emotions and pretend to be cold, which is pretty sad actually.

There is a great narrative by KiKo Tsukino in the Recent Discussion forum above. A few of us believe that Qingmu and Houchi are extensions of Bai Jue and Shanggu. The second lifetime had given them the opportunity to freely love and express those emotions without having to restrain their emotions because of their duties as True Gods.

The only exception is probably the Heavenly Emperor from Love & Redemption. He was a bit better than the rest of the other dramas. 😂

You would think being Heavenly Empress was enough for Wu Huan. But she also wants control over the Feng Clan, knowing she doesn't have the Phoenix Queen bloodline. She had the nerve to tell Fengran to not be greed and take her Leader title from her (Wu Huan). I'm disgusted just thinking about it again. 😡

Yes, Bai Jue does divorce her in E41 since Houchi asked for a divorce in Qingmu's name and he finds out about her baby in the same episode.

Only two subbed episodes are released each day from WeTV VIP, from Thur-Sun. Yesterday was E39 & 40, today (in about 4-5 hrs) will be E41 & 42.

I just finished E40 and was about to make a comment about Bai Jue and Gu Jun's conversation, but saw your post instead so I will add on to it.

Bai Jue had asked Gu Jun why he didn't do anything to prevent the 100 years confinement for Houchi. Bai Jue said Gu Jun sat back and did nothing while the newly-wed were separated for decades. You can clearly see how Bai Jue wanted to spend those years (as Qingmu) that they were apart with her (Houchi), even if it wouldn't reach 100 years. You can see the wanting in his eyes (btw great performance by Xu Kai). I felt his pain 😭😭😭. Any time he had with Houchi was precious to him.

Oh I remember, quite a few of us voiced our opinions loudly and the admin had to undeleted the 1 week's worth of comments. 😂 A few of us started to delete some comments on our ownto try to prevent the lagging on the page. That's why the count went down as well. It was quite interesting that day.

You should definitely give The Long Ballad a try. A totally different genre, but I LOVE IT! There is a reason why the comment page for that drama is hitting 32,000.

😂 ALP also went to the top of my favorite xianxia list, right above L&R. But The Long Ballad still remain my number one favorite drama of all time.

The whole story itself is beautiful. This has surpassed (in my opinion) TMOPB, AOL, EDOL, and L&R (for those who disagree, please don't be upset at me). Despite being separated for tens of thousands of years, the souls of Houchi & Qingmu (extensions of Shanggu & Bai Jue really) are able to recognize each other. They were meant to love each other, even though their path can and would be a painful one. In E38, Qingmu was not ready to leave and was yearning for Houchi before Bai Jue took over. Similarly in E39, Houchi was yearning for Qingmu after knowing Bai Jue came back. She refused to believed Qingmu wouldn't keep his promise to her. The yearnings from both Qingmu and Houchi are an extension of how Shanggu and Bai Jue yearn to be with each other. To me, their sacrificial love for each other and the pain that they must endure have made my heartache for them. I don't remember any other couple where I felt this much pain and hope for a brighter future. They deserve happiness.

His/her comments doesn't bother me because I know what they're saying isn't true... No point being upset over something that isn't true, imo.
