Hello there! I had read the novel almost a year ago, I am now re-reading it and waiting for the drama! Can't wait…
I would suggest you read the novel. It's a real quick read. As HappyBirdEgg mentioned, I'm sure the drama will give us a great visual as compared to the book.
It's the same thing for me with "Tears in Heaven." Certain scenes in its novel is greatly expanded and the drama is letting me go along with their emotions. You can see and feel their emotions.
I see it now! Woww!! Spectacular :D Do you remember that crucial scene when you saw this? After all those tense…
I love that crossbow scene in E25. As you described, the way the crossbow was position at She'er along with the bgm just made it more intense. You can see him turmoil of wanting to execute the arrow but can't, his despair, his frustration, anguish...The whole time I was thinking....OMG is he really going to pull the trigger?
Also, it seems like in the manhua, the crossbow was in Changge's possession. In Vol 2 page 167, you see Ashina Sun take the crossbow from Changge. It looked very similar to the one Ashile Sun was holding in the drama.
I hope im not the only one tick off about Li Chang Ge character she has so much hate in her and is constantly…
If you're at E24, PLEASE continue watching. E25 and going forward probably until E30 (?), you will see tremendous growth from Changge. Don't give up on Changge just yet. Not just Changge, but many of the other characters will have character growth as well.
I love the idea of playing this game, however, we might be slowing down the comment page if we have long discussions with this game. A suggestion is to move this game into the Recent Discussion. I notice it's easier to reply/respond via the phone/device there than here.
some nice illustrations 🕊🦅:https://sut3kii.wordpress.com/2016/11/19/chang-ge-xing-illustrations/but who…
Yes, I also think it's the Tang astrologer. If you refer to Vol 1 of the manhua, page 167, it might be him.
I've seen most of the pictures from this website are from the manhua. It's either the covers or the additional pictures added within some of the manhua volumes.
Hi there, welcome to TLB community 😊. If you're interested in the OST, I have a download link in the Discussion Board above. It's mainly contains their 6 OST with the Chinese lyrics, pinyin and English translation.
YES I LOVE THE OST! I have literally listened to "Cocoon" over 600 times on my iPhone. 🤣
There's also a link for the manhua that I created to pdf, if you're interested. It should all be on the same discussion topic on the board.

Summary of the Novel Written by Kappy: For 1/3 of the story, the love story is between our heroine and the second male lead (or the first man she truly loves). Our heroine is Du Xiao Su (Li Qin), a reporter who moves to the big city in Shanghai after a heartbreak only to find herself attracted to a handsome and kind doctor, Shao Zhen Rong (Zhang Yun Long), the perfect man in everyone’s eyes. Their love is gentle and they even share thoughts of marriage and family house together. Unfortunately, the writer rips apart this love story in the most tragic way possible. The appearance of Zhen Rong’s older brother, Lei Yu Zheng (Shawn Dou), forces Xiao Su to break up with Zhen Rong out of shame. When she was younger, she had a one-night stand with a stranger and that said man is Yu Zheng….. Zhen Rong refuses to break up with her without knowing the reason and fight for her understanding. When she finally relents to give their love a chance and tell him the reason, she waits and waits for him to come home. He never does….
***SPOILERS AHEAD***
Our poor doctor never makes it home because he dies in an earthquake/mudslide? Ripped apart by the pain of his death, Xiao Su desperately wants to hold onto the house they promised to live in together. Thus begins her pleas toward Yu Zheng to give her the house. Described as cold person, Yu Zheng rarely shows his emotions. He doesn’t believe in love for he grew up with materialistic women throwing themselves at him. While he doesn’t want to look at Xiao Su, he can’t stop himself from caring about her either. It was the day of Zhen Rong’s birthday when he sees Xiao Su drunk and drenched in the rain and her sorrow speaks to him. He takes her home and in her hazy mind, she sees Zhen Rong in the older brother… They kiss. A lot more happen to bring the two lonely souls towards each other.
Finally, Yu Zheng realizes he loves Xiao Su when he sees her with another man. Angry and jealous, he rails at her for lying about her love towards Zhen Rong. He doesn’t know why he’s so upset but he forces himself on her…. [Yes, this is the R scene.] After the deed, Xiao Su runs away. With one humiliation after another, she wants to end her life but in the last minute, Yu Zheng pushes her out of harm’s way and gets hit instead. The time he spends in the hospital, their love deepens.
Alas….she is pregnant with his child. Krap. Ashamed of her action, she decides to not keep the baby. When he knows that having a baby is hard for Xiao Su, he decides to let her move away and live safely in the states with their child.
The story of waiting begins. Waiting for time to cure all wounds of the past. Waiting for time to lessen the pain of death. Waiting for time to finally open the eyes of those around. That living means moving on. While Xiao Su stubbornly denies her love for Yu Zheng, she doesn’t realize the said man is even more stubborn, waiting for her from behind.
From what I read, they finally get their happy ending in a side story, reuniting the pained love birds after 6 years of separation.

Oh yeah this drama definitely picked up with ep 14 and ep 15-16 the best so far and I can't believe but I actually…
Yes, I cried at E16 too ðŸ˜. I was expressing my opinion on Xu Kai's action below. I thought he did an amazing job conveying his sorrow after Shanggu's death.
I'm not sure why some people are complaining about Xu Kai's acting in this drama. So far he's done a great job being a cold/stoic True God. I mean that's his character role in this drama.
Episodes 13-16 was amazing with the CGI, but so very sad. I'm just trying to put myself in Bai Jue's position. First, he lost one of his brother/friend (Tianqi). Then afterwards to lose his love (Shanggu) in order to save the world. When he woke up after seeing Shanggu disappear in front of his eyes, that scene along with the BGM just tore at my heart. His reminiscing these times together and his crying over her. His eyes told so much about his pain. And finally, with the remaining Gods standing together to fight with the Overlord. He lost both Hongri and Zhiyang, the remaining friends/family he had.
His last scene of falling over after killing the Overlord, he literally drag me along with him with his pain. I mean he lost everyone closest to him. I know it's drama land, but come on. Ancestral God, someone, give him sort of breathing room.

This is still ongoing. The translation is currently at Chapter 9 out of 26 plus an epilogue and extras. So about 1/3 translated.
