👤Yoo Ah In's performance in the movie 'The Throne' was Terrific that year. After 'The Throne' 🎞️, I kinda wanted to watch another version of YiSan ,the continuation of young YiSan in 'The Throne' who seemed to carry the heavy burden of The whole Royal Family as a replacement of his seemingly mad father.
Then❤ 'The Red Sleeve' came. It was the story of 👩❤️👨 YiSan and his lady love 'Lady Uibin Seong'. I knew a bit about them after 2007 Yi San version. But I wanted to knew about them more. So I studied 📖about them before the drama.
👑King Jeongjo was like the only king who was vocal about his love💗 in the whole reign of Joseon Kingdom. It might not seem much to today's generation, but because of his love, 💬Lady Uibin Seong's name 'Seong Deokim' was left in history books in spite of her coming from a humble background. Since Joseon Harem always gave an adjective to the King's ladies after reaching 'Bin' ( Highest concubine level after Queen)🌸 , the adjective of 'Ui' was personally chosen by the King Jeongjo.
He wrote how much he loved her and her parting left him💔 devastated. He built a park in remembrance of her & her son.
King Jeongjo's love was as clear as sky, but had Lady Uibin ever loved the King? She was famous as the lady who dared to reject the King for many times in spite of her status.

I agree with someone who said that the drama seemed like a love story in first sight, but it was a drama about choices. The drama may be a fiction based on the history ,but it is based on a real king, the ending needs to reconnect with him in the end and what his choices led him to.
🤭Me falling in love with LJH is another story. I didn't know him either as an actor or idol before this drama. I faintly heard the praises about an actor in 'Chief Kim' & 'Just Between Lovers'. But I didn't know it was him. So at first, I was disappointed by an idol casting in this drama.

First two or three episodes, both Deok Im and San are quiet free spirited in their teenage years , so their encounter are quite silly , but from episode 4, the drama becomes quite serious. The drama features changes and evolvement of the characters throughout the years .
