Can anyone tell me what happened to the every character in the last episode????
All but two of the North Korean agents died. The one who flies, Joon Hwa, and the one who can heal, Young Deuk . Young Deuk was "adopted" by Hee Soo into the family after literally running into each other the night of the battle. He was in tears after his only friend died after causing a sonic earthquake when he jumped out of the window. She lovingly calls Young Deuk, Uncle.
Joon Hwa went back to the North and killed the head of their special division. He then released Doo Shik from his prison and gave him a gun, relaying the message, "They will continue what they did with us with the next generation." It is revealed that he has a child born around 1995.
KiSoo and Han Byul are spared by the leader of the North Korean group. They are able to survive the finally battle. The help their teacher and Kang Hoon leave. We last see them at their graduation in February with Hee Soo and Kang Hoon also present. Their teacher saves a space in the graduation line-up for Kim Bong Seok. Bong Seok hasn't been seen for two months, since the night of the finally battle.
After a final stand off with the leader, Deok Yoon, and Joon Hwa, with an assist from Lighting Man, Bong Seok flies away with his mother on his back. Just like he was once carried by her. While in her father's chicken shop, Hee Soo, sees a report on the news about a mystery person in a yellow raincoat who saved people from a skyscraper that was on fire. She smiles and says "Fighting" while looking at the scar from the bullet she took for Bong Seok.
Kang Hoon and his father both survived. He has graduated high school and has gone to work/train for the director in the secret special unit. In exchange he wants his father's record to be expunged. We see the director getting scolded by none other that Hee Soo's old rich classmate. The same classmate that was bullied. The reason Hee Soo revealed her powers...dun dun DUUUUUU.(shout out to Coolforthesummer for putting that together for me. cause I could place who she was in that scene. )
Doo Shik, back in South Korea, kills the director in his office. (bad news for Kang Hoon) He flies over a city and sees a rooftop painted purple. Bong Seok, Mi Hyun and Doo Shik embrace on the roof, reunited once again. EDIT ADD: Completely forgot to mention that Joo Won tracks down and kills the high school principal. The one who can find them no matter what. Also the one who is most likely responsible for the death of his wife.
Post credit: Asshole from Mi Hyun's first mission, the guy who caught Doo Shik, is now the new director of the secret special division. We see Frank is alive, still in Korea getting out of a taxi. Cut to, the American director looking over files. We see E, for Elias...."Call Elias".
what do you think about the new episode? for me, it's logical enough and he is not 100% at fault it's just bad…
honestly haven't seen it yet. i just woke up, but another reason is because im not really excited to watch the show after what happened last week. it really turned me off of the show tbh. ive seen one really cringy cute scene with the Oppa thing that is sweet. but yeah as a queer person it jst is upsetting that the writers chose these plot points.
Can't wait to know how it till end 🫡 I don't like sequels, so I hope this ends NORMAL!!!!!
I think the original ending kind of keeps it open for more, but I was happy with how it ends. So even if we don't get more I think people will be pleased with the overall show. The writer brought a lot more depth to the show, so I know that he has a lot more to say in this world of powered humans. The only issue is that with the budget for season one, unless this show does really well globally, I'm not sure they could give the same quality to a season 2 with a lowered budget. Second seasons in kdramas is still so weird to me tbh. Some of them have done really well, but I just never know if the cast would even be available/willing to sign on for a season two. I get the vibe the younger cast would be hella down for a season two, but that the older cast, though very much loving their characters, might want to move on to other projects.
As much as I'm enjoying this show, the lack of Jo In-Sung is massively disappointing after waiting so long for…
I guess I didn't think he was being promoted in the marketing more than Ryu Seung Ryong and Han Hyo Joo. With how much the mother/son and Father/daughter dynamic was in the marketing I figured he was a strong feature, but not lead lead...if that makes sense. But yeah going based off of the articles that the press were releasing you would think he would have shown up prior to episode 7, and been in every episode. I feel like this is more so the press than the actual direct marketing for the show. After seeing everything I can't be upset cause I think it's covering him really well for what the writer had of the character in webtoon. If anything he expanded on a LOT of the characters as well as adding people to flesh-out the other supporting stories. I'm sorry that you were hoping to see more of In Sung in this, but what parts he is in are SOOOOoooo good. I still can't believe that the director was like "What are we supposed to do with you. You're too good looking...you're supposed to be hiding out as a farmer, but you stick out." The even attempted to dishevel him to make him look more average and failed.
Damn we have 2 series with gay characters having an accident whether intentional or not in the same week, poor…
I want everyone to look into the 'Bury your gays' trope and 'Queer Coded Villains' . Korean writers seem to be in their Hays Code propaganda phase. It's giving homophobia.
Best way to turn a killer in psycho is make them obsessed gay!
And not because they feel guilt about killing someone and lying about it for 5 years...nope...he killed himself because he was outed as liking DoHa...what the ever loving F*CK were the writers thinking?
Part of the plot is giving 'Her and Her Perfect Husband' vibes. aka age gap older woman. fake marriage because of her job. Everything else sounds completely different though so looking forward to it. I liked 'Her Private Life' so I'm looking forward to something I don't have to think too hard about and can just sit back and enjoy the hijinks and romance.
Well we knew from early she’s a good sniper, what fighting did she do in these episodes? I really only saw her…
She has super zoom eyesight...like a telescope or a really strong camera lens. She has super senses, eyes, ears, nose, taste all have been mentioned/shown she hasn't shown super touch, but i'm not sure how one would show that ability.
I'm confused how you think the pace is the issue...going based off of your watched list and what you rated them…
I guess I'm just used to film pacing being similar. It's more about vibes less about what is being said in the moment. It's mood...which isn't everyone's cuppa so I get it. The pauses/cuts for me is just building tension, but I guess I can understand how that could be frustrating for those who aren't used to that style of storytelling.
there will be a flashback of Kim Doo Shik flying around and shooting with the NK soldiers in the last 3 episodes.
Just found out from another poster that the script writer and the webtoon writer are one in the same which is why everything feels so much more rich and well placed even though the character are "new".
Couldn't agree more about the new characters added in the drama and also how they really elevated the live action…
Yeah didn't even realize that we had him doing the adaption as well! For some reason I thought that his credit was just for the IP and not the script itself. That changes a lot imo, because I would hate for any extension to lose it's core meaning and focus from the original author's intent. But if it's HIM doing the writing I think that being able to put his thoughts to screen would only be a good thing. Cause the webtoon is like drawing story boards for a show or film. Though now the question remains...will Jo In Sung be willing to get rigged up again in those wires?...cause our man was very excited to be done with those harnesses.
Well we knew from early she’s a good sniper, what fighting did she do in these episodes? I really only saw her…
No x-ray vision. She just knows her son isn't answering his phone and that there are people who, if they don't already know who he is, will know soon if she doesn't stop them. Also, she has always hidden the extent of her abilities...from everyone. She like Doo Shik, Joo Won and hell, even Jae Man, all have very strict moral codes. Don't hurt potential innocents, and don't hurt those they consider their family.
The concept of this series is really good, the actors are also good but the execution, including the pacing is…
I'm confused how you think the pace is the issue...going based off of your watched list and what you rated them im honestly shocked. Do you normally binge watch after the full release of a show? Is that why you think the pace is weird?

A part of me doesn't want a season 2. Just because I think that this was such an amazing drama I would hate for expanded stories to fail/let down what they accomplished in season 1 . I just don't want another Star Wars situations on our hands...yah know? or Game of Thrones, cause once those writers ran out of source material it all went to hell in a hand basket.
I read on a website that in the webtoon Bongseok dies. Is this true? How closely is the drama following the webtoon?I…
I don't know who said that. if there is more than one season of the webtoon I can't say for sure. But I read what I thought was the whole thing and homeboy makes it out alive.
