oh, i'm sorry I was trying to be helpful. I wasn't being sarcastic with my comment. I thought you might not have realized that the show will rotate the lead characters.
For those curious about couples as mains for which episode so far.
3rd sister/brother-in-law: as main Episodes 1-10; as supporting episodes 11-17(as of now)
1st sister/brother-in-law: as main Episodes 11-tbd(17 as of now) BiL first appearance in episode 6
2nd sister/brother-in-law: supporting throughout all aired episodes. Have yet to feel like a "lead" plot focus.
4th sister/brother-in-law: BiL has yet to make first appearance as of episode 17
5th sister/brother-in-law: BiL has made one appearance in episode 3...they have yet to actually meet each other face to face....he has a LOT of growing up to do first aka stop being scum.
shouhua and du yanxi story is soooo boring ππ... I don't feel like watching
I guess come back on...Wednesday, maybe...as that will be around the 20ish episode mark...They should be introducing another future brother-in-law soon if they follow a similar pattern to the first arch. It feels like they are spending the most time on 1st sister's story as they still haven't concluded it after 10 episodes like they did with 3rd sister.
I really need KN & CA back, 1st sister story is boring
You might want to just wait until all the episodes are out then, because KN and CA have positioned out of the lead into supporting, probably for the remainder of the show. That way you can either fast forward or I'm sure by that point FMVs on youtube will have consolidated all of their scenes together.
Todayβs episode were great but I wish we could move on to the others sisters stories too
I think there will be a small time jump at some point prior to one of the younger sisters' story really kicking off. As i think they are like 13-14ish atm aka not marriageable yet. I haven't heard them say an actual age, but with the hunting for candy etc. I think it's to indicate how much younger they are to their older sisters.
When the third sister got married, she wore red while the first sister wore all green. Does it symbolise something…
Both are common colors for a head wife. As far as I'm aware there isn't a specific meaning behind it. Maybe message @PeachBlossomGoddess I think she would know if there was any significance. I do know if the bridal clothes are paler that indicates a concubine.
I just want them to pet the cute puppy that is always ever so slightly out of shot in the the Jun Mansion. I want to get a closer look. π₯Ίπ₯Ί edit: pupper showed up right after I wrote this π€ππ₯°π₯°
oh no...make-up department...what have you done. using a shimmer lipstick on a character that is supposed to be ill/dying is actually wild.π€£π€£π€£ Full shimmer shadow and mascara on both top and bottom lashes....gotta love idol dramas.
Really wanted Du Yang Xi's bestie to tattle on him, but of course Shou Hua isn't an idiot and filled in some of the blanks. I still don't trust the new maid at all. Too convenient with the timing of everything else going on. Too many people plotting in the shadows over a man who can't even figure out he's a target & protect his wife from outsiders. I need them to get into it already or introduce another pairing so that we get out of the more stagnant place we are in. Episode 15 felt like filler/added drama. Just showing how the brothers-in-law work together, but there are other better ways to show that dynamic then introducing a blackmail subplot.
He hasn't been her slave for a while now. She said that to protect him in Beixuan, otherwise the queen or her…
OMG HEY! so another paragraph coming your way sis. sorry but everyone is asleep and i need to vent this to someone who gets it.
I wouldn't hate her as much if they actually wrote a good character. But she sounds the same in every scene, whiney and put out that she isn't getting her way. There is no difference from her public facing personality and her private one. She is a caricature of a spoiled princess.
I thought they were going somewhere with the plot of her last maids getting murdered by her mother, but no, she proudly parades a man under her murderous mother's nose and practically dares her to kill him ever other business day.
My biggest hang up is SHE KNOWS HER MOTHER DOESN'T CARE ABOUT SLAVES. Instead of helping him get a backstory about how he selflessly saved her life while she was out on her own, and now owes him a life debt...or some such nonsense. She made him a boytoy that would 100% piss off her mother and brother to the point of them killing him. He would have stayed with them no matter what as he was Jun Qi Luo's personal guard. There was plenty of time to hide his identity or create some sort of cover for him being around. But slave was her final thought. Maybe it's because I grew up in the South in the United States, but master-slave forced relationship just isn't for me and never will be.
He hasn't been her slave for a while now. She said that to protect him in Beixuan, otherwise the queen or her…
She said it multiple times with no one else around that he was her slave and thus had to do whatever she told him to do. After the Dowager Queen continuously threated to kill him she doubled down that he was hers and that she loved him...she does not think before she speaks. He is a slave to her and her toy. When someone tries to take her toy away from her she throws a tantrum like a 2 year old child. She is a horrible person who has not changed since the moment we met her. She is selfish and only EVER thinks of herself. She does not care if Qi Min is hurt or upset, in emotional or physical pain she only cares to possess him. She has repeatedly put everyone's life at risk just to get her way. She is a liability and needs to be ended. The character acts like she is 12 years old...literally she's worse than my niece with her whiney ass behaviour. And my 12 year old niece is dramatic as fuck, so that's saying a lot. She needs to be hit, or experience the actual real world...put her into slavery and see how much she like's belonging to the first man that takes a shine to her. Always at his beck and call at the sound of a whistle like a damn dog. Expected to respond like a lover at her owners word. There is no redeeming her actions at this point. She can die saving someone and I'll give the writing team a little gold star for their hard work in killing off the bitch.
Episode 24: Okay writing/production gripe, The Jun family work in the fabric and jewelry industry, and lil sis can't tell how expensive Xuan Lie and Luo Qi's clothes are? really? also the amount of times Xuan Lie's hair changes within an episode is starting to become comical.
Seriously can someone just kill that damn princess already? It's been 23.5 episodes(im in the middle of episode 24) and she hasn't matured at all. No growth as a character. Annoying and whiney as all hell. Ruins peoples lives. Thinks that slavery is an acceptable way to keep a husband. Can lil sis punch her in the face or something? seriously let her die already I'm so sick of this character bogging up an otherwise okay production.
Edit: to the person who asked me if I would act like this in real life wishing someone's death who annoyed me, but deleted their comment....I'm not a psycho like this character is. If someone is annoying in my real life I walk away like normal functioning adult in society. This is a fictional world that has murdered people for less, so death to the albatross seems apt.
wild when people don't double check they are delivering the correct bride. Also whiny princess makes me rethink the whole a man shouldn't hit a woman...cause like at this point she needs some common sense and other means aren't working.
I hope the 2nd cause the 1st is THE WHITE OLIVE TREE PREMIERE and there will be many eps that day plus some other…
Same. Not sure I'm going to enjoy The White Olive Tree. But I love both leads so I'm going to give it a shot even though it's not really my preferred genre.
