Quick question for those who have been following the production. Did they change the ML character's occupation? In most of the things I've seen prior to watching the first episode it made him out to be a military solider, but they repeatedly make a clear distinction in episode one that he is a volunteer NOT a solider. Was this a change from the novel? Did the position of solider not pass either the censors or audiences?

He's just a stickler for the law so if the relatives break the law he will punish them. I remembering seeing a clip of her watching him in court with her mother as he walks by and her looking all in love with him. So I would assume he ruled in their favor.

Looks like 4th brother-in-law will help the Li family when the relatives start coming out the woodworks.

They, Du Yang Xi and Shou Hua reconcile in episode 19. He will/has married into the Li family now, instead of her marrying into his family.

Also with add context from episode 18 we now know that Du Yang Xi is between 19 and 20 years old.

I think she's two years out of mourning then. So she would be around 22.

Can you put some spaces/paragraph breaks in the comment? I find long run on paragraphs extremely daunting and hard to keep track of where I am in the paragraph.
Having breaks makes the information more digestible instead.

I think there is going to be overlap like how we met Du Yang Xi in episode 6 but he didn't officially meet Shou Hua until episode 11. So I think we have at least 3 more episodes until they will switch out for 4th sister, HaoDe, taking the lead with Shen Hui Zhao.

Well...the info we have is that eldest sister was married for about 2 years and has been widowed for roughly the same time.
She would have been married after the age of 15.
The mother is in her late 30s early 40s (they discussed her being similar age as Du Yang Xi 's adoptive mother, to show how much rougher she's had it in life.)

Context clues tell me 4th and 5th aren't yet of marriageable so they are under 15 years old or 4th might just be 15. They play up their youthfulness.

Anybody else catch any other clues as to their ages?

That ooorrr Minister Yu is some how responsible for the death of his real parents or hurt his adoptive mother in someway in the past. His mother definitely knows him, but still unclear why she is terrified of Minister Yu.

The young prince...no clue what happened to him after being sent to the northern boarder. Literally never mentioned again. When is mother dies she doesn't call out for him or see him in a vision...just Luo Zhi Zhou.
Jun Qi Luo and Xuan Lie's child(ren) that definitely would have been born by they time he got back to her....not one little glimpse or even mention of wanting to see the child or a "hey how did birthing my child go while I was dealing with state affairs?" nothing nada zip zilch. *side-eye....bombastic side-eye* Just a lets discuss their possible future of taking over our positions withing the two kingdoms. Only bright spot to that year later time jump was our little Luo Qi running to get back to his girl.

Okay so Consort Li is dead...but her SON ISN'T. Why is Luo Zhi Zhou going on a suicide mission when he could rescue the prince and secretly raise him? Teach him how to be a king and usurp his father and brother? They already be faking people's deaths' left and right. Someone go and save that adorable little boy.
