Episode 8 made me so emotional. That stepmother was so evil. As a mother myself I absolutely cannot fathom treating children differently—why did he have to use plastic disposable dishes and nobody else did?! Why did his spineless dad just accept it?! I honestly don’t blame Zerui (such a beautiful name btw) for what he did. He was what maybe 17, abused, emotionally stunted by a lack of proper care, it makes sense to make such a senseless decision without thinking of the consequences. It brought to mind the words of Charles Ryder in Brideshead revisited where he says “something long sickening in me had finally died.”
I'm dying of happiness. LXY is such a great actor and super handsome!! As for JJY, I say she has improve a lot…
I agree entirely! She has improved greatly and that’s the sign of dedication! I hadn’t liked her previously and came in neutral, but I was impressed with her acting here and have no complaints
Such a lovely drama! I had seen ZL in Legend of Chusen and loved her there, but it’s my first time seeing LGX. He is so good! I’m a new fan of his now. It’s so refreshing to see mature leads—really fits the persona of an ancient god. Actually everyone is doing such a good job in the drama, I’m so thankful for it and In Blossom end my drama drought.
Absolutely beautiful--just watch it! It is really well done imo and very moving. I liked the ML in Order of the Sommelier and chanced upon this gem. It has a lovely dark feel to the drama and ha beautiful scenes.
When I watched Love 020 back in 2017, I was like, "what's wrong with these chinese girls? they look like withered…
Gosh it is so toxic— the comments on Weibo about the FL in Yongan dream being too fat and an attack on the eyes were so disturbing to me…people are so cruel
Best drama of the year so far for me! I'm so happy that it is exceeding my expectations! Liu Xueyi is phenomenal--loved him since 2016 in Noble Aspirations--he is finally getting the attention he deserves!
I think they had to improve the plot, to have more dynamism and for the characters to have more intrigue and conflicts…
Definitely, I’m a die hard Liu Xue Yi fan so I watch anything he is in! I just had read the novel and happened to have Qian Yan as my favorite character and so was sad about him not being cast.

It’s just a shame because his character has a lot of depth and really was an ally to Mei Lin. I just wonder how they’ll change the little himbo Yue Qin to fill in the gap
Wait so they completely cut out an important character, Qian Yan?! Is it because he’s gay… so they switched and had her marry Yue Qin instead? What about the ghost guy from the stone forest…

I like my men unhinged and obsessive 😂
