his chemistry with Han Gi Chan was the best on that I agree, BUT DUDE okay he isn't visually appealing to YOU,…
You ARE personally attacking him, and what makes you think it is okay to 'weight shame' him? I haven't watched the drama but these comments are truly repulsive!

Also, I've been wondering.... I know its a drama that requires a HUGE budget, but China is no short of fans willing to spend. Is crowdfunding not an option they can consider? (if they are in a truly dire situation that is) I don't know if you'll have an answer for this haha but just asking. Crowdfunding can just be an extra source of funding on the sidelines....but maybe there are laws against that also? Idk... it's China... they could probably prohibit it overnight.
But again, I haven't really come across many dramas that have been crowdfunded apart from little YT series here and there XD so maybe its a stupid option that might not even practically workout.... :)

Yes I knew it had a high budget. Especially after Immortality's leaks, I was extra excited for this. I understand wuxia novels being made into low budget dramas but I don't understand how that can be possible with Xianxia and Xuanhuan... with the high amount of CGI they need to use. I really cannot bear to watch ghost city being something out of an F Grade children's animation :'(
But for now, from the recent leaks, I don't see much changes in costume but that's all we can infer from the leaks unfortunately. I hope the script doesn't change and even if a new director is assigned, I hope they follow the OG script as much as possible and just give it their all. I wouldn't wanna be pessimistic about their work. No one would want to voluntarily do a bad job, so hoping everyone is extra determined to give it their best shot. *fingers crossed*
I will control and keep my expectations at an all time low to save myself from future heartbreak. Despite all, as a fanatic fan of the OG work and MXTX, I will still devotedly pray for the success of this drama and watch it despite any future criticism that might arise due to any changes that might conflict with fan interests. (I'm trying to stabilise myself as I chant this out to you)
And also, I asked you to 'dump' it on me and I'm kinda regretful about it now, not because of the heap of info (really, u are like a wikipedia page at this point ahahaha) but because of the destruction this 'heap of mess' has caused my heart. I wish I hadn't asked for all this information, but nevertheless, thank you so much.

EVERYTHING you just said stabbed my heart a little every second I took to read it, but what hurts the most.... - the killer blow - was the part about the funding. Did you say the funding definitely went down by leaps? Definitely? Is it not a rumor? I might sob if you reply affirmatively. This drama has been pushing me forward during my young life crisis....
I am DESPERATELY hoping most of what you said are just rumours and that everything is just as it had been. I am even willing to compromise on HuaLian's relationship as long as they keep the plot the same and the budget... (does the govt really not have anything important to do?)
THANK YOU SO MUCH for explaining it all so well! I'll check out Baidu! Thank you!
Too late in replying but let me show off :)I am on my 75th...
I haven't really gotten around to it. I mean I do read a lot of books in general (like the OG English ones) but I've read only Danmei from China. Way too many to read haha
I'm pretty sure not many are free enough to fill me up, but I'd be eternally grateful to whoever can briefly let me know what happened in the past two months. I was so done with waiting for Immortality that the anger even flared up to affect my HOB updates, and now I am so lost. Was there a new ban? I heard the filming resumed, but Chan Ka Lam disappeared? Or some ish like that? Is there going to be a female protagonist that anyone knows of? Will we not hear Hua Cheng calling out 'gege'? What happened? Am I still in the same world?
Episode 7: I feel like their 'fight' was more to do with ego rather than 'love'. At least that's how it looked like to me lol, with all the dialogues going after. So I wouldn't dare call it a love triangle. (or maybe it's just a love triangle done very bad). This brings me to my next question. Why is their friendship (that they shared since kids) so shallow?
The show, despite being cliche and simple, was quite soft and fine till now. The acting is decent and so is the direction. But the script is soooo offf. It can probably take a good part of the blame in all the negative reviews this show's gotten.
Cherry Magic has more than 15.000 comments which Kieta Hatsukoi unfortunately won't reach due to its shorter duration…
Also it maybe because many would watch the drama only once it completes airing. I would have been one of those many, but for once, I just couldn't resist my urge to watch this. (REGRET X 1000000)
A question that has no answer but I'm gonna ask it anyway, WHY TF IS AOKI SO FREAKING PRETTYYYY?!!?! I could hardly read the subs because I was too busy staring at him...
DAMN IT! The ending is just.... not what most of us wanted :')
Bong Hwan's personality literally carried the show just for it not to be of importance in the end anymore.
Not kidding, I was literally waiting for Bong Hwan to fall to his 'death' again so he could return... he was clearly bent for the king, and even Cheol Jeong liked HIS personality...
The ending is almost making me overlook the show, but I genuinely loved everything for 19.5 episodes.
I tried to read 2ha twice in order to catch up with the plot of the drama (at least to understand what da heck…
I have a doubt... are you not hooked to the book, or are you just not ready for the angst?
If it's the former, I suggest you read the novel outline, but if it's the latter, you MUST persevere through the following hundred chapters for one of the best tears and plots of your life!
7k comments*blinks*8k comments*doesn't even blink this time*The comments yet again increase by 300+People in this…
And that wasn't even too long ago XDXDXD Like.... literally 4-5 months ago, this page was still at 3500ish comments and we were all wide eyed. This drama is going to break MDL when it comes out haha
I am on episode five and this is probably the first drama in almost a year that I've come this far with. I have been obsessed with The Untamed, Word Of Honor, and other BL and bromance dramas that the rest seemed bland and generic, but this one finally 'kind of' slipped me out of the almost 18-month slump I've been in.
Obviously, this drama isn't anything out of the ordinary, but it is somehow engaging and there's some charm to it that I haven't found in dramas for a while. It has the perfect amount of friendship, romance, and drama.
I do see the 'drama' going to the cliche side starting ep 6. As long as a cliche is made right, it can be quite nice to watch... and I hope they don't ruin it.

JUST WHAT WENT DOWN IN CHINA AGAIN?
