I know what he had done was ignorant but.... but this is too EXTREME (I'm not a citizen of China so idk how patriotic they are or affected they are by this) but just imagining the toll this is going to take on ZZH as a person is breaking me. I can't watch another one of my fav go through this ahhhh
And what makes it worse is that this could be because of his success in WOH... just WHYYYY

I've been watching ep 9 for three days now, stopping every 7-9 mins because of the cringe XDXDXD But the leads are just tooo adorable ahhh! I just wish it had better editing (especially the music), direction, and most of all, a better script. Could have been a gem because the actors are GREAT!

I feel like most are just disappointed without even giving them a proper chance :( This entire page lacks positivity and it's kind of ruining my anticipation for the drama. I'm not asking people to stop expressing their views, but coming to conclusions and seeing the TGCF LA in a negative light is ruining the vibe >_<

Nothing that hasn't been said already, I am just trying to remind everyone and I'm trying to spread as much optimism as possible (hopefully I am doing this the right way, and if I am not, I don't mean to be rude) so guys, look at it this way. The cast was chosen because they obviously had something in them that made the casting director feel like they were suited to play their characters! No one wants their drama to be a disaster and they do their best to make it as beautiful as possible. So let's leave the cast alone, yeah? We have no rights to judge them before they even display what they got under their sleeves. If after the drama releases, the cast is truly not good, then we all can smash your keyboards all we want and no one will stop us.
About the costumes and makeup... there are tons of rumors going around that some essential people from the production team quit (nothing verified yet) and also maybe the production crew heard the roaring fans because they seemed to have upped their game, even if it's just by a tiny bit. I know many (most) are still left unsatisfied, but maybe continuing some criticism on social media isn't that bad after all.
And we are talking about the director of CQL here... considering how much he has worked on CQL, unless he is wasted, I don't think he would do injustice to HOB unless he has some obligations to fulfill which we can do nothing about or if there are budget constraints (which I'm guessing is the rumored case).
No person deserves hate just because they aren't doing something right. There's a lot going behind the scenes and we know none of it. In conclusion, let's be very kind, criticize what's happening constructively, and not come to finalized judgments or opinions. Let's discuss our love for the novel in peace, and help spread more optimism and positivity, yeah?
XDXDXD It's for testing (mostly)... it's not their actual costumes (hopefully) haha. So let's spare them, yeah?
I haven't gotten complete information regarding the HOB LA and the info being spread around isn't entirely believable either (which is why I was being very careful and hopeful with my reply)... worst case scenario, even if this is the final costume (which I really don't think it is... because, look at the color coding of costumes in CQL, I don't think the director would do or settle with anything lesser for this drama) there's a lot of hate going around and it is going to limit the artist's creativity. It's only negative publicity and puts the actors and other artists under pressure.
I myself am not going to come to a conclusion just because of costumes. All we can do is wait and watch :') with our fingers crossed.
