I personally have noticed the lack of articles on BL or LGBTQ+ content in general but brushed it aside by telling myself that it's not 'mainstream' yet.... who knew....
Thank you so much for the information! Read each and every article you posted up there, and if those could be posted and are allowed to be read by young readers, then it's an insult to the LGBTQ+ community as a whole and is indirectly conveying a message that the 'rule makers' of this site find these discussions more inappropriate than the ones above.
How do you suggest we bring this issue to light? How do we confront the people behind this and what can be done? Now that this is put out there, we must try to change this!
Please let us know how we, as a group, can proceed with this (if you know how to) so we can escalate this and question the people behind it!

Your argument is totally defined and I see your point. I am just here to provide a different perspective :) I see undefined beauty in the way China makes it's censored romance adaptions! It proves that love is not always in physical intimacy but also lies in just words and actions. Like the long eye gazes, the romantic music in the bg, the poetry and idioms of hidden meanings of love in the script... just BEAUTIFUL! Like WOH, The Untamed, Winter Begonia.... they're all such stunning pieces of art and I don't like any chinese romance dramas as much as I like those three! (Dare I say, not even Addicted gave me as many feels as those three did and I know quite a few people who share the same opinion).
I'm sure there are dramas that 'butchered' the original plot as well, like Advance Bravely and Beloved Enemy (I like those two too by the way... just not as much as I liked the books) but if TGCF is made the right way, I am sure it'd do wonders to our hearts!
Of course it is terribly sad that we 'might' not get to see HuaLian lovingly pining after each other and to have their 800 years of history possibly 'labled' as just plain 'devotion' or 'brotherhood', but even if it's just 'devotion' or 'brotherhood', there is love binding the two souls and not even the censorship will be able to stop that from reaching us, the audience. So let's all try and be more optimistic and accepting, yeah? Who knows, the cast might do wonders and maybe the censor board might (and ik this is wishful thinking) loosen itself up a bit after seeing the success of the existing dramas and how much international exposure they're getting.

Yess the book only gets better, more amazing, more intricate, more humorous, more fluffy, and more painful so you have a lot to look forward to! Anyone who reads this book, as you put it, can be called masochists haha. And I really hope we get an official English translated paperback for this masterpiece :')

Idk how new you are to this fandom, but people thus far (most) have been very impressed with the casting. Especially the cast of the two main leads are exactly what one would picture them to be! Of course the drama itself would be heavily censored, but I'm sure the production team understands that with the book having such a huge following, if they mess up the story too much or delve away from the original plot, there'd be backlash. And not to mention, Meatbun herself said that she made sure the contract for the adaptation had a clause where the production is not allowed to mess up the relationships from the OG plot. We can trust the Queen and chill for now.
The ban on LGBTQ+ content and rebirth is definitely a tricky hurdle to jump over, especially when it comes to 2HA... but let's just try to anticipate a positive outcome :')
Suggestion: Try not to think of how they'd make the drama as you read... it might get you all sad and gloomy haha
(For those of you who don't know and are new here) The above video is the trailer of a mobile game called A Chinese Ghost Story in which Yunxi stars and the scenes of this trailer are so similar to HYX that it's making me and many fans go crazy! Yunxi carries himself so much like CWN in the trailer.... I am just going to take it as official HYX content until we get more official HYX content!
DO NOT GIVE UP YET :') .... It's painful later on, but the main plot starts after chapter 99
Ahhh... Yuwu has an edited translation just like 2HA and it's quite good. The links are up on the discussion page if you want to look it up.
And yes yes! No force haha... SPL is amazing as well! It is political and steam punk with some romance, and if you like political plots, SPL is very smart and you will love it!
2HA is your first danmei read? Lol you dug yourself a grave right there... but there are many amazing books out there which might (or might not) make you forget about it. 2HA is my top read with HOB so far, but I can confidently say that danmei in general has so many good reads!
If you want help or guidance, I can provide you with it using my limited knowledge XD
Good luck with the after effects and withdrawal symptoms! The feels might hit you two months later when you think you are completely done with the book and have nothing else to do with it.
If you want something equally or more painful, please do check out Yuwu (Stains of Filth) by the same author! A very underrated book.
And if you want something with an amazing plot, do check out Heaven Official's Blessings.... just putting these two epics out there cause I am on a promotional spree XDXDXD

I am making other people watch it and I am rewatching with them. Watching their reaction is a whole other level of entertainment and rewatching with someone u know or are close to can give you a different perspective of the show.
My sister absolutely adored the show and fell in love with it more than I did while another friend I am watching with clowns the show (not offensively) and makes me see stuff I didn't realize was there before.
Or if you are into reaction videos, Bilibili has some good ones (if you don't mind not having subs XD)
Meanwhile, anticipate Winner Is King and Immortality! Two other drama adaptations with similar tropes.
You can try reading the original novel if you haven't already or you can read other BL novels!
Otherwise you can watch Happy Camp with GJ and ZZH in it or the concerts if you haven't already watched them.
Slowly ease your way out of the WOH vortex (which I am still stuck in by the way) because the slump is only gonna get worse this way :')
But if it gives you happiness, I don't see a need for you to move on. It is not harming anyone and it is bringing a smile on your face. So why bother getting over it?

The Untamed's novel, Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation/Mo Dao Zu Shi, is definitely one of the good ones out there! Some pain, some suspense, and some fluff. A perfect balance!
If you really like 2HA, maybe you should check out the author's, Meatbun's, other work called Yuwu (Stains of Filth)... it is equally heart wrenching, if not more, and is also very beautiful in terms of scene depiction and is so underrated!
Even Heaven Officials Blessings by the same author as Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation, which , for me and many, stands on the same ground as 2HA! An amazing story line, and if you need a lot of fluff with some pain, this is it!
So if you like what you read in 2HA, these three books are totally worth checking out!
And abt the bonus chapters.....
Some of the Bonus chapters are a modern AU which I personally don't prefer. Some of them are about Mei Hanxue and Xue Meng, and some are abt Mo Ran, TXJ, and CWN.
I read only a few of the extras and the translation (MTL, I couldn't find an edited version) was sooo bad, I gave up midway and am currently waiting for someone to edit it or for Suika and Rynn to translate it themselves.
