The ending was honestly quite satisfactory for me... not the best, but it didn't ruin anything. I loved both the seasons equally and will definitely rewatch for the fluff :')
I have gotten to wondering what really makes this drama worth all the anxiety and anticipation from the people... and my answer is, 'I just want to see Yunxi and Feiyu as RanWan cause they're perfect!'... I literally have no expectations for the storyline, because I heard Sam Ho (one of the directors) usually kind of butchers the endings...? But Immortality is a completely different drama so maybe it's an exception...? Idk...
Anyway, I was sad the entire day yesterday and woke up thinking... we all should start enjoying the anticipation.
Sometimes, the anticipation of waiting for an event is almost as good as the event itself! Waiting just prolongs the feels and I know if the drama is good, we'd end up crying once again because it ended too soon so let's all just do our job as fans and discuss the book to the tiniest detail and indulge ourselves in it... It is VERY hard waiting, I know. I haven't been waiting as long as some people but I HAVE been waiting for a good 10 months now and it's bad, but let them take their time... Let them give us their best product... And when it comes out, let it add value to all the time we have waited for it.

I'd really like to know until which chapter you reached in The Dumb Husky and His White Cat Shizun, cause I am yet to meet people who read over 150 chapters and didn't like that novel XD It's totally upto you, but if it's the theme of that book with non-con acts that are making you uncomfortable, I highly recommend you to skip those chapters and read it because the intensity and intricacy of the characters in 2HA are incomparable to any I have read so far. The plot twists are such page-turners and the emotional roller coaster it takes u on is very exhilarating. I LOVE SPL so much, (which is why I am here of course XD) but maybe you should give 2HA another go :) No force tho. It might not be for everyone...
And you can try checking out Yuwu (Remnants of Filth) if you want to bawl your eyes out. Books by MXTX if you haven't read them already (I'm guessing you did...? idk...) - Mo Dao Zu Shi, Heaven Officials Blessings (ANOTHER MASTERPIECE), Scum Villains Self Saving System.
And of course, Meng Xi Shi like everyone recommended... not gonna repeat that XD
