There's still no news on this? It's been years that I first heard the novel will be adapted into a drama.... Guess they are stuck with the castings, Xiang Liu is a difficult one to cast imho

I knew that the 2nd prince was the Emperor's tool all along, but didn't know that Fan Xian was one of the tools too. He's really doing many things just to train the crown prince to become a better ruler. He's just like the "director" of the whole story lol. The crown prince is indeed the best candidate to ascend the throne among the three. 2nd prince is too merciless (even though he was forced to fight, he did have control over his actions to a certain degree), just like the Emperor and Fan Xian is difficult to manipulate. If the 2nd prince ascend the throne, other princes especially the crown prince may not be able to live for long.

Just hoping that Wang Juan would change the 2nd prince and crown prince's ending since he changed Teng Zijing's as I know.

Btw, did you read the novel? I am thinking to read this novel but it is too long that I hesitated. I am trusting Wang Juan a lot with the story and script, so am afraid that the novel will not be as epic.

I didn't read the novel, but I read somewhere that says the 2nd prince is just like an anti-protagonist/ darker version of Fan Xian. Fan Xian was lucky enough to be sent to Danzhou when he was young, so he didn't need to be in the capital and get involved in the power struggle since young like the 2nd prince.

I knew his ending and why he chose to do all those, was spoiled by a fanmade video on bilibili. And yes, he is still by far my favourite character from the drama.

Not sure if you could read in Chinese, but the title of this drama in Chinese could be translated into English with several meanings. 庆余年 basically means to celebrate the remaining years (Fan Xian was supposed to be dead in the modern world, so his time travel gave him a "second life" / years more to live, so maybe from Fan Xian's perspective, this is something to be joyful about). The title can also be understood as the remaining years of Qing kingdom or the years in Qing kingdom.

On Ep.8 now and like the second prince most, surprisingly. He's so adorable. Btw, does anyone knows who's the voice actor for this character?

I've watched another version of Handsome Siblings years ago, so I kinda have an idea how JXY's character like. And yep, I will agree that there are plenty of similarities between JXY and YZX, both are street-smart, humorous and pretty skilled in martial arts. But there's a major difference IMHO between these characters too. JXY is a youngster who is "innocent and excited about the JiangHu", sets off his adventure and learned a lot throughout his journey. YZX, on the other hand is a youngster who experienced much since young and just wanted to protect his brother. YZX was closed up to others and slowly becoming more open to the team while JXY was learning about the reality of JiangHu and discovering his background.

The plot of Handsome Siblings is more predictable for me but the wuxia elements are really more interesting to watch than just talking. Young Blood's choreography is pretty bad tbh.

But YZX is nowhere near rude. He's pretty much at the same level as JXY if one is to compare.

Zhao Jian agreed to go to Xia with Mi Qi Mu Bei in order to save her father. The group set off looking for her.

Yes, you can but there's still some minor relationships between these two so would be better if you can watch season 1 first. Btw, season 1 is way better than season 2 imho, so I would recommend you to watch that first.

The trailer looks good. Let's hope that Tangren will do a better job in this than the previous season. No Wang Yan Lin, Mike and Zhang Ruo Yun is quite a disappointment though.
