Rather than acting I think some have an issue with his visuals not being the usual flower boy handsome ML type…
couldn't agree more, though i have watched other dramas with him in it, i have found him quite decent, but as you say in this drama i think he is outstanding. Perhaps it just needed the right script and the right director.
Overall this series is good but if you start observing their relationship in detail you will be disappointed if…
am i allowed to read this differently from you. I mean no disrespect, i have watched all the the dramas that you have mentioned however i see it and i feel them in a different way. If we look at the male lead in TPOB he is secure in his relationship with his Generals and his Advisor. He is not secure in his relationship with any female family members. Grandma is the one stable female in his life, though i think he sees her as a controlling figure., given that she is acting as clan leader until he is old enough to take over. Mother is so wrapped up in grief and hatred she has no time for him, indeed we see that she is more interested in scheming against him to get her own way. As a child, having watched his Grandfather, Father and Brother killed the one thing he needed was a female adult to nurture him. Because of his environment his feelings were also wrapped up in anger, grief, and hatred. He doesn't know how to respond to a potential female partner. Manman made all the efforts because her grandfather, who she adored, asked her too. To heal the rift between the clans. She must have seen potential in him. That he behaves like a teenager when his emotions are stirred by her is understandable. I have put this behind a spoiler. if you think my reply is inappropriate let me know and i will find a way to delete it.
What I liked about Wei Yan was justified in ep 27. He proved his loyalty to the Wei family by making a difficult…
i am sure he asked him to spread the rumours to give him an excuse to leave. He will go to Bainchou i hope to secretly support Wei Shao in his endeavours, and hopefully punish his father.
Real talk -So, most of us has seen the preview of ep 29, and some of us, has forgotten that this is CDRAMA-LAND!…
for me one of the delights of watching Cdrama's is that they do not cross the line. I gave up watching dramas at home because productions became bolder and crossed lines that made me feel uncomfortable. Perhaps i am old fashioned in that way,
i have seen comments saying this drama doesn't deserve the rating, stating that Love like the Galaxy was much better. for me its the other way round. I found i would whizz through episodes in LLTG when the mother was involved. She was do dumb. an old saying "you can knock the devil in, but can't knock him out" the mother only realised this when she was loosing her daughter to the palace.. what i love about this drama is the the acting is brilliant, the transition from angst to comedy moments is so smooth, you can't help but laugh or smile. But as they say it is all a matter of opinion. My vote goes to TPOB as it is something i would happily rewatch. I have never been back to watch LLTG.
Yes, very. I am reading it now and if they made this drama as novel, C-gov won't let it pass the license to air…
but then to be honest, i gave up watching here because dramas don't seem to leave anything to the imagination. I really like how the Chinese dramas are very subtle, it means i can relax knowing that i am not going to be faced with scenes to me which go beyond the line. but then again i am old.
why are cnetz so strange about this show? i use xiaohongshu and almost every comment under the videos seems to…
i guess they don't understand the story of a man driven by revenge having seen his family slaughtered and here he is presented with the daughter of the clan who refused to help. I mean that is some mental block to get past. If they want something quick and emotionless then this is not for them .

you know what this is the first on going drama with a high rating that i ever watched
This drama deserves a higher rating still, on here i think it should be over 9 for sure. the double was good but i felt it had a messy ending. lets hope this one is smooth and logical.
with only one episode for the last couple of days i decided to go back to the beginning and look again. I am even more impressed and seeing more. The comedy moments are so well done. nothing jarring. From serious to comedy, the transition is so smooth. the Wei generals and the advisor are brilliant. No wonder it held my attention on first viewing. Really looking forward to maybe 2 episodes in about 10 hours my time. If they are able to keep up the quality standards then this drama deserves a higher rating. It could be the best one of 2025 at this rate. We will see
