I am a fan of LYN, the criticism maybe that others prefer more pretty looking men, and some of us prefer a more charismatic manly man. LYN is handsome in a manly way, his acting in this drama is outstanding, He also seems to have a fairly kind nature and he is tall at 1.9m. You can also pick out the OST songs he sings no problem. i can't think of anything not to like.

i cancelled my netflix after they published online untruths without even checking. so i was really happy to find the website i now watch Cdramas on, I understand, and i know it will be great exposure for the dramas that are picked up. I wish them well and hope Cdramas succeed on netflix. This drama is the perfect example of one that i think will fly high, i hope they keep the eng subs and don't dub it into english. that would be a really shame. It is great when its the actors own voice, own emotions.

This episode 19 has left me feeling sad, his cousin Wei Yan absolutely wants to take Manman from him. Wei Yan has fallen for her big time. i don't think it is reverse psychology at all. He cautioned Wei Shao about possible schemes she may have. The tunnel she had built comes to mind. When that comes to light it could be a breaking point, and confirm what his cousin said.
one episode a day is killing me. when will it go back to two.

another two excellent episodes. i am really invested in their story. I sincerely hope that his cousin is being honest with them, i feel a little nervous about him. Should i be. is the story following the book??? I just love how they have done the lighter moments, it all feels so natural. Great acting by all. the 4 generals are so good. They are as close to family that he has and his advisor. I feel a little sad about Shao, he seems clueless about feeling, and how to treat a woman i guess it is because all the right male influences were taken away, he has not had a normal upbringing. i look forward to tomorrow. i doubt i will be able to resist watching again.

my goodness, i feel exhausted, this is so good, it would seem that the director and actors are working in sync with one another. I mean i always thought LYN was good, but in this drama he is on a whole new level and it is stunning to watch. SZE i am new to, she isn't just a pretty face, boy can she act, she is a true actress, just brilliant, between them they bring the whole story to life, emotions pour out of the screen, and the rest of the cast wow its just wonderful. It wouldn't surprise me if this is the best drama of the year. I see the rating is up too to 8.8 i still think it deserves higher.

i decided to watch just one episode to see if it was my thing, i finished all 9 that had been aired. once i started i couldn't stop. it is a brilliant series so far.

thank you for the teasers, it soothed my anxiety about how it was going to play out. i can relax now and look forward to the coming episodes. The actors are doing a brilliant jobs aren't they. its just wonderful to watch. why such a low rating 8.4 it deserves more.

wow your comment really spark conversations, I would say that sometime in more modern day Chinese dramas you get advertising at the beginning and the end of each episode. in the historical dramas not so, In Korean dramas they have advertising inbuilt in each episode with product placement and i am sure those companies pay handsomely for that service. i know where i live if i go to the shop now i can buy all sorts of products, from food to shampoos to creams from your area of the world. Also when watching the dramas you get to learn about different customs and cultures, and of course different areas on your countries which can increase tourism to those areas. A for instance i watched the Chinese drama Love me Love my voice and the scenery was absolutely stunning and i would love to have be able to visit, so that is advertising in a modern sense for the country itself.

to be honest had that happen to me, i would have unlocked the box to show my innocence, and then walked away, far away.

A couple of slow episodes to allow the vipers to raise their heads. It was so easy to sow distrust, because trust is in short supply between the main couple. They were doing alright until the cousin came along. I hope they don't drag the conflict out too long, This series was going along at a nice pace. They need to keep it up and not get bogged down.

I gave in and watched ep 10 and 11 today, another 2 brilliant episodes, this series just keeps on giving. I hope she takes on this devious cousin head on. It is yet to be seen if he is a good guy or not. I suspect not which is seriously disappointing. The only person who is supporting him in his family is his grandmother, everyone else seems to be plotting against him, jealous of his position, or sitting on the sideline and not really getting involved with the plotting just waiting to see what crumbs or advantage they can pickup. I thought they were going to be unified in their desire for revenge. i guess i will give in again tomorrow i don't think i can wait until it is fully aired, which is what i intended to do. I watch one episode and then carried on. Oops.

I thought i would give this a try, Usually if a series doesn't grab me by the end the first episode i give it a miss. With this one i was pleasantly surprised at how good it was so i carried on. By the end of the day i have watched 9 episodes the day flew by. I have the time as i am quite old. So far i think the rating is a little low, however we will see how the rest of it goes. The actors are brilliant, bringing the story to life. The whole team have done a great job so far. Fingers crossed it continues.

it took me a while to get into this one. but i think i am in the rhythm of this series now, and i am quite enjoying it. I think it was worth sticking with it.

oh no thanks, we have a saying here when i child has a tantrum because they cannot get what they want. "I am going to scream and scream until i am sick". that describes the sml, I think the writer must be about 8 years old.

The sml is a real simpering pain. i would run a mile. he is like a leach that you cannot shake off. Slimy, very unpleasant. yuk. i am on episode 28 and i don't know if i can last the distance. this focus of the script is really putting me off.

same cast is essential, not just the leads who are outstanding but also the support actors. A follow on story would be great with a happy ending. i live in hope.

so does that mean there is potential for a season 2. In the opening credits you see the fl riding on the back of a panther, also in the last episode there are one or two other hints that it may be possible. if so that would be brilliant. I so enjoyed this series, i rated it a 9 .2 nothing is perfect, but they came close. I hope its soon, i am getting rather old. ha ha.
