If the ML is billed as the main lead (I am going by the order shown on the MDL page - so this is an assumption on my part) why is the FL getting more screen time?
No they don't. That's overkill (if you'll excuse the pun). They just need to smack him in the mouth! Did you mean to say that (as per drama-land rules) he should be killed off so that he can no longer be a threat? Or are you saying that you think that he should be killed for tearing up a letter (real life opinion)? If the latter, it may just be overinvestment in the story, but the disproportionate response makes your moral judgment look questionable.
When a guy ignore the girl in whole drama you liked it and girl is doing the same ,you opposed it ? I honestly…
Agreed - to both points. ML started out strong but for the last few episodes he has been superfluous. I hope that this changes soon. And I certainly don't want to see an obedient male (any more than I would want to see an obedient female).
The fact that I cannot stand petty family bullshit, it’s amazing I am on episode 7 and still managing to somewhat…
The "petty bullshit" will soon be replaced with major family 'bullshit' as you go on. I don't say that to deter you from continuing but to encourage you not to drop it. Ha ha. (They will unite at some point.)
Well, I guess they made RSB a bit unrealistic, too perfect for a woman does all those crazy schemings alone. I…
Yes. I was annoyed when it was discovered that she knew / had long suspected that he was fake. I would not have minded if it was just once that this happened - that is reasonable; it shows that she is not inferior to the ML - but again and again? For me, it upset the balance of the relationship between the two leads making the ML superfluous to requirements.
Yunxi kissing An Cha in front of grandma 😮😮Damn, LJL and RSB just consummated but then she just left the…
@emotionallyevil: Was it a dream? I wondered for a second whether she herself has him locked up somewhere because we did see that she might not have forgiven him for her sister and Mrs Yang being taken away. But that could be a second red herring that this drama has deliberately dropped.
what im learning from the RSB hate is people can't read emotions or subtext without hearing a character's inner…
@Kaihua: I don't quite understand your comment about spoilers. What about the non-haters or even lovers of RSB? Some of those, too, probably want spoilers. But you are right about some people having double standards re the leads.
The fake guy is (probably) the Yang brother who was sent to the temple. (We learned this during the Madame Yang…
If you are right, I missed that. I will rewatch. But if you think about it, the monk (whether the fake or the real and the young Yang were both brought up in a temple so would have the same 'buddha' thing going on. Anyway, we'll see soon.

Also, he is usually of a neutral, calm disposition but when he was watching his brother get his comeuppance, his demeanour changed. It was obvious then that he had something to do with the Yangs (whether he was for or against them).
It was quite easy to work out who caused madam Yang's death after learning that the Yang brother had been sent off to a temple. The arrival of the beggar confirms it. (Unless these are all red herrings.)
Not necessary in the sense that season one had a happy ending and was not left unresolved in any way (that I remember). So, you could watch season two with the leads already married as a stand-alone drama BUT... if there are references to things that happened in the first season, you won't know what they are talking about (unless it is explained). Better to watch Season 1 first as it is worth watching IMO.
The scholar has actually shown sharp insight and moral clarity. Your insult ‘learned man’ says more about…
Not at all. I don't take any drama seriously because it is not real. My comments are directed at your use of ridicule and false logic to sway other people especially when you yourself have misrepresented the facts. If my students did the same, I would comment thusly.
