Hmm. It depends on how you define sad. I think I would say for most people, it isn't sad. But you know that it's…
I submit to the jury He's Coming to Me, Bring it On Ghost, and Made in Heaven. But I do see your point. This wasn't that kind of story. The tone didn't fit the kind of show that would magically give us a happy ending.
It wasn't what I was expecting based on this description, but I'm not disappointed. It wasn't a perfect show, but they took a risk and I respect that. It felt more like a drama with a "BL" subplot, which again, I respect. There should be more mainstream shows with LGBT+ stories.
I look forward to seeing Choi Jay Hyun in more dramas. He was the best part of this show for me (though it was nice to see the boys from Why R U?). Also Jung Ae Yun as the mom was phenomenal.
Last thing - I don't know why, but I LOVED their height difference!
I'm on episode 3 and really enjoying it. Something is bothering me, though, and I'm wondering if it's explained, or just a mistake. (It happens in the first episode, so I don't think it's a spoiler).
When young Thun is upset at the graveyard, Med hugs him, and they have a little cuddle. But then when he's older, Med can't touch him (ghost rules). Was there a reason he could touch him when he was a kid, or is this just a mistake?
Loved it! My only complaint is that the actors who played young and older Xia Zhi Chen look nothing alike, haha. It was hard to imagine one used to be the other. But the young and older actors for Li Xiang Wan were perfectly cast. I wouldn't be surprised to find out they're related.
The younger couple was great. I would watch more dramas with them!
Sorry for the late reply, college, work, etc. But yes, honestly, It’s one of the best BL out there! And honestly,…
Awesome! Thank you! Good to know. Can you tell me which one it was? If it has a bad ending, I might wait until the sequel is out before I watch it, so I don't have to live with my rage for too long. haha
I'm on episode 3, and I'm interested in the main couple, and I like the two female friends. But other than that, I just do NOT care about any of the side characters. I find myself so bored when it's not the main couple or the girlfriends. I'm especially not interested in the teacher storyline. *barf* [Update - or the doctor! What's with these old people perving on young adults???]
Does it get better? Should I not skip through those parts? Are the side stories important to the main plot?
I liked it a lot, I just thought the story with the ex "helping" their love story was unnecessary, and it stalled the momentum. They didn't need him to intervene like that. They were SO CLOSE to confessing, and then the ex came in and things got sidetracked. So the reveal that he was helping all along felt strange to me. Like... you can help by staying out of it? Just let them fall in love! They were getting there! haha
But I liked it overall. I thought their chemistry was great.
I was so confused by this, and figured he must be a famous cameo. Did they do a drama together before? I want to watch the HIStory series, but not if it gave you PTSD!!
It was never explained why Shin Woo was so mean in the first episodes. I assume it has something to do with his…
Yes, I'm willing to go with this explanation, that he was scared of his feelings, and didn't want to put himself out there again. I just wish it was touched upon again after TK realized SW had feelings for him all along. SW wasn't just standoffish, he was actively mean, and I wish he had apologized properly for it. But like I said before, it's a small thing, and it didn't ruin the show for me. I still loved it a lot!
