No hate on Song Hye Kyo, but I liked Kim Ji Won's character better in the last 2 episodes, she kept it together…
The guy is so overdue for skin it's ridiculous lol.

Yeah, basically "you did your duty, now I'll do mine" *bows to Lt. Col* BITCHIN'

That Lt. Col. just solidified himself as best character imo: "As Lt. Col I take full responsibility this moment on, so you pick your tie and gather your reporters, because I'll take off my uniform anytime, if it's honorable." Hell yeah - one of the best scenes of the series. Dr. Kang's persistent reservations/moralizing to YSJ is getting really annoying though. I know they're trying to write more into the romance, but JC...after all he's done, seriously? Idk, I prefer the simpler and more passionate 2nd leads. Ost continues to nail it. The ballads not so much, but the orchestral is pretty damn good.

That Mad Clown theme is almost distracting because it's better than the MC's ballad. I'm glad the 2nd leads got it instead lol. YMJ's treatment was more affecting than Dr. Kang's capture IMO.

I think my problem was I set my expectations way too high for this. I'll keep watching though for the eye candy, 2nd leads, and ost. Besides, I have to preserve my status as the only male left still watching it lol.

Why do people who don't like this drama feel the need to comment about it all the time? You don't like it and…
"Why do people who don't like this drama feel the need to comment about it all the time?"

For the same reason useless, single-line plaudits - which make up 80%+ of the comments - are posted by rabid fangirls: to express an opinion. At least dissension, when it's constructive, encourages debate and thought (admittedly this is a terrible place for that), as opposed to the aforementioned.

I hate to say it but ep9 set new low for this series. Disappointing too because ep6 actually had some comparatively good character work - ironically, when the couples were apart. But now it's just all sizzle and no steak, and imo compelling romance demands the latter. These contrived, episodic scenarios, in a fictional place with no historical, geographical, or political context (to say nothing of the terrible antagonists), aren't helping the narrative. I feel bad for the actors because they're doing the best you can hope for with this premise. Maybe I'll pick M*A*S*H up again, which had more gripping drama in its last episode than all nine hours of DOTS combined...

I have to laugh @ how the SJK fanatics almost ignore (GQ) David McInnis. I'm a S/M so maybe my opinion is invalid, but I'd give my left nut to look that good lol.

And the majority would rather watch Transformers movies than Ingmar Bergman, and thinks Justin Bieber is a musician. #rip majority

Still, the look on Dr. Kang's face next week is gonna be priceless.

I like the second leads more, and their story is also moving in good direction. But the main leads and their story…
It's definitely slow burning and lacking depth, but not bad IMO - the ost is helping things immensely. There's something magnetic about the 2nd leads though. I think SJY really looks the part for one thing.

YSJ and Daniel just kicking it letting the recording roll lmao. That shot of the plant worker tearing down the deceased list with the young Dr on the other side of the window..now THAT was good direction.

JG's eyes said it all in the lead up to....the hug. Maybe it's a cultural thing but for some reason it borderline ruined what was a poignant romantic encounter for me. Idk, seemed a bit over dramatized and gimmicky. Good chemistry this ep with our leads though.

LSJ easily a fav character. I'm not familiar with the actor but he's great.

Ost continues to nail it. Love that Mad Clown track.

Do some people not realize this is a "television drama"- defined as a series of real life situations…
Actually, I'd argue that experts often make harsher critics than armchair internet warriors BECAUSE they're informed in their respective fields.

Well, yeah. But even a green squad of enlisted guys with mild medical training would have been sufficient for tending to injured civies and securing the area. You don't send their equiv of Seals/SAS for that lol, unless of course there are two love interests already there and you need to advance the romance.

Uhmm, Was I the only one scratching my head at Korea's equivalent of Unit 6 being dispatched for....a medical rescue mission with no reported opposition? Overkill, much? Convenient for the romance though lol!

Earthquake aside (which actually was better than expected), Ep6 was a big step up from 5 imo.

Ughh....that damsel in distress cliff scene was just BAD. The cardboard villains, Engrish, and setups are leaving me cold. Unfortunate because the acting isn't bad. I'm kinda meh on the romance so far but warming up to it, I guess. It doesn't help that I'm watching Healer *suffering by comparison in that arena* lol.

Am I the only one who thinks the OST is much better than the drama, so far?

WHY IS MYUNGJU'S DAD SO DUMB! =( WHY CAN'T HE JUST ACCEPT THE TRUE LOVE MYUNGJU AND DAEYEONG HAVE. TT^TT
"...who is and will always a mere master seargent which is practically the bottom of the totem pole"

Uhhhh....not in the practical sense. Master Sergeants and Sergeant Majors are like Gods the military, and they've earned every bit of the respect they command. No Lt. with half a brain pulls rank on an MS/SM unless they're looking to be skinned alive by a CO/XO. It's a point that may be immaterial to the romance but one that shouldn't be neglected either.

A medical/military romance? Huge potential here. I'm probably going to get pilloried by the fanboys but KMY is really annoying me. She strikes me as more of an childish, naive brat than an educated, professional surgeon: she pulls the occupational, moral superiority card on...drumroll...an elite special forces captain. Really? I've known Navy Seals and last I checked, they actually do know a thing or two about "dignity" and honor lol. I hope they use caution with this theme because it could be deal-breaker for me.
