Agreed. Meteor Garden had the only F4 crew that felt remotely realistic to me. Even in that version Domyouji/Jerry Yan was featured as too "soft" for my liking, but it's still hands down the best live version ever made.

Watchable I guess, but imo the Hana Yori Dango anime still beats any drama adaptation ever done, far and away. MJ is the only character here that remotely looks the part of an F4 member. Meteor Garden still runs away with it as far as live versions go imo.

In the novel he gets his ass kicked by Chen Xin, who's ranked 96 and single-handedly holds off several Titled Douluos and a SH army during the Seven Treasure invasion. Bibi Dong is a different story though. She's close to 96/97 at the finals, possesses twin spirits and controls a 100k yr ring. So yes, she absolutely could restrain several douluos at once. But if they were all Titled and coordinated their attack, she'd definitely have her hands full and likely be injured.

Like the author would actually reject any script rewrite considering the popularity/following this has LOL. #$$$ They could have turned it into Twilight 18 and it still would have been a go XD.

THIS. Single use power phenomenon and pharmaceutical-induced mutant soul is drama-invented b.s. I don't remember anything like that in the novel. A SM last ring--like a Titled Douluo's 9th ability--will certainly deplete nearly all of his/her spirit power but even that won't kill them. The only other example I can think of is if TS used his 6th for too long in an extended duration fight--that *could* severely affect XW's vitality, theoretically. But that never happens. It's true Fatty was a mutant chicken spirit with Phoenix fire, but I don't remember the novel providing an explanation for it. In the novel his mutant spirit also affects his own body--he uses food and women as a catharsis to redirect pent-up power lol. If it were drug induced like the drama portrays it seems reasonable that a palliative would exist.
