I think the shaman knew. This is my own assumption but in the shaman & jail scene, she was very frightened and warned the officer not to open the door. She knew she killed the wrong child & the spirit was out to kill her

@10262063 the theory goes on to explain that the initial night scene of when Lee Mokdan was selected was the correct second child. fast forward to the hide & seek scene, the twin sister took her twin's hair accessory and went out to play. Resulting in the wrong twin to be kidnapped and used for the ritual. In the taxi scene, the old detective was reading an old article that says "she wasn't the second child". Could be hinting towards a twin/sister 🤷‍♀️
