ShuHe wishes to help ZiAng gave him the last push of motivation to join the court. ShuHe was always torn about this issue because on one hand he wanted to vindicate his mother, who died at the hands of the court instigators and, on the other one, he wanted to live a free life. When ZiAng appeared he decided to make a deal with the despicable Prime Minster to get him to find ZiAng brother and also protect ZiAng (that Primer Minister was sure he was from Jibei and an assassin). It does, but I guess is because they did not have money to hire assistants responsible for checking the nails, hair, noses of the actors like in other Chinese dramas. The acrylic cover their nails and is one problem sorted.

ZheXu birthday live - I was not going to make a post about this, but he is something else. I was so impressed about how much he is aware that the total of fans are not "his" but "their" : Lagogos, and rather that this make him feel awkward, he was delighted. This attitude is so refreshing to see in the individual members of a CP. During the live he could not stop mentioning Jin Jin. He has a pin that he hung in his t-shirt with the face of Jin Jin. Most gifts has reference to the CP and gave him immense joy. When he cut the cakes he fed the image on Jin Jin in his t-shirt. Jin Jin was watching and made some comments but there were thousands of people attending the live so his comments were missed. Lets enjoy this moment of true CP party. When we, particularly international fans, became fascinated by a CP like YiZhan or any other of the popular ones, the solo fans hate us. In the international community, most of us did not know who Yibo and Xiao Zhan were, we knew them through The Untamed, so what it was wrong to feel supportive of a duo? Fortunately, Xu and Jin were unknown actors even in China so their current followers are all shippers. How long will last? Today is ZheXu birthday. He went back very early to Beijing alone. He said to the fans: Jin Jin is still sleeping, The celebration with Jin was during the night. They were seen in a rooftop. I guess we will have a vblog about it soon. In their interaction today in Weibo, he replied to Jin Jin that he was feeling very happy. It is so good to hear, as they have been working so hard non stop all these last days. Chinese actors have stamina to give away!!! - this is proved all the time, and Jin (24) and Xu (26 today) have a very endearing relationship, which I guess adds up to that energy.

While I posting this I would like to highlight how perfect this CP was in the fan meeting. While Xu appears as the driving force, he can come across as stern, except with Jin Jin who has all his attention. Jin Jin instead was a real hero. 100% supporting Xu and never tired of playing along with the fans and make people happy.
This is just one example of the lots of them with Jin Jin 100% engaged in the experience. The whole event it looks so long with different levels of interaction depending "on the ticket" but for the actors, what a job!

Thank you for sharing your thoughts Yerisina!!! It is inpiring to reflect more in the complexity of these characters. After reading your post I feel even more deeply the compassion that I felt for our beautiful caged bird: ShuHe. I am also putting more into place why despite having long for/dream about ZiAng for 5 years the idea of becoming his lover again was an absurd to him: "He did what he did to gain my favour, he won't have that". It is only when the doctor gave him a valid reason to surrender to ZiAng desire -which was ShuHe too as a more primary emotion- is that he became intimate with him again, but for ShuHe did not come near to a loving partner, he felt a male concubine (male pet)

thank you, I have watched it, another super BL. I rated 10 too, So I would put that one just slightly after this one on account of the super performance of a seasoned actor like Wada Masarani (Kataoka)

This is the best Japanese BL I have ever watched. Actors were amazing, the script a superior intelligent version of the manga, the photography spellbinding. Despite the age difference the chemistry is fire. Both actors provide a touching tenderness to the cruel world they were portraying. The ending was lovely. It is a 10 . Ignore the low rating here. Highly recommended.
