This is a very good point you are making like ZiAng is suffering "the death" of ShuHe even when he was still alive. So in a way the "revenge" that ShuHe was thinking of was happening ( agree with you post above that "revenge" is something to reflect on). I would like to know the Chinese word use because sometimes some words are lost in translation.

Agree Jasprin. When the series was airing, I also used the term ZiAng own ShuHe to let him go first and owned Shuhe not to see ZiAng die. This is what ShuHe said to ZiAng when he went to see him to reconcile for the last moments ZiAng life "ZiAng don't think to die before me".

Yerisina, what a task, I have so many "favourite" scenes that I come back again and again, but I will choose three that change the tone of the story at pivotal moments:
Ep 5 Jealously - When ShuHe marriage to the Jibei princess was announced, ZiAng real nature of his feelings for Shu He, hit him like a train. He was consumed by rage. It reached the climax in the drank scene. Brilliant performance by both of them, but ZheXu portrayal and "choreography" is perfection. ShuHe was longing for ZiAng physical desire, we confirm here. Until this point ZiAng had revealed himself as the platonic soulmate. So he provoked him: , so what if I am going to marry this princess, what it is to you? This only increasing ZiAng frustration but he passed out. ShuHe then kissed him tenderly near his ear.
Ep 6 - Passion - the whole end of this ep is wonderful, iconic for me. How is built, from trying to get ZiAng confused into believing he means nothing to ShuHe, only for ZiAng breaking the barrier of ShuHe lies and his own reservations to kiss him. ShuHe tried but it was not possible to resist, he collapsed in ZiAng arms, both reciting these beautiful lines that some of us know by heart. Then they kissed in "that way" symbolising love making.
Ep 10 - Bath scene, red robe - I think most people's favourite. Everything is a slap in the senses, the colour, the cadence of the words, the piercing mixed emotions of sadness, apparently deceive, longing. These lines (we talked about it Y) so final:
If I would not have been the 6th Prince of South Kingdom and you would not have been the Red Shadow guard of Jibei, would this story between us still existed - to which ZiAng respond caressing ShuHe and bringing his face next to him so he can see into his fiery eyes: "Definitely".

I think you have written about this before, but I would like to know your thoughts about how much the presence/the return of Zi Ang expose ShuHe to danger. Would ShuHe entered to court if it is not because the negotiation he did on ZiAng behalf?
