Actors like their shipping fans, but probably they don't want to be linked to their CP when they presenting another drama. It is disrespectful to the other actors. There are actors that were in BLs in Korea that they perform in other mainstream but they get together for CP fan meetings, the same in Japan. Those CP fans understand the concept of time and place. I know which CP are you talking about. They have always been accepting to the CP fans, they smiled at them and most important they quote their bromance/bl as one of their most important pieces of work. They have received more detriment from the solo fans of the other actor. They are constantly taking those to court. In China, ex CPs particularly mainstream, don't interact after a drama. In award ceremonies very few even acknowledge the other one. I remember I was so shocked by the 2CP of Journey to you. The guy ignore his CP totally, the girl tried to be friendly and this idiot not even look at her. Awful. The younger MLs are a bit better now, but for us outside China is shocking. So it is very likely that this CP, the one you are thinking of, are still good friends, but they cannot show it at all because they can get lots of hate.

I really dislike the Chinese fans calling BL actors as mama and papa (in general fujoshi can be so redundant with these sort of things!). It is not exclusive to ABO because mpreg theme. Every actor in China that performed as bottom is mama and top = papa. Then is husband and wife, why??? they are two males??? can you not at least call them husbands both of them?? Those could be endearing names for she/her and they/them if this is their preference, but not for he/him!!! Now that I am ranting. I do find distasteful from shipping fans to shovel the name of the other CP when the actor is promoting a work of his own. Actors appreciate their CP fans, very much, probably people like Kipuka, would mainly have shipping fans, but they should not make inappropriate remarks when they are in other solo projects.
