Justice in the Dark was caught in the middle of the new censorship guidelines. As we know after Addicted BLs were forbidden but after these there were iconic bromances adapted from BLs writings like The Untamed and Word of Honour the most famous, but also the Guardian and another one. Then the government decided that it won't allowed bromances adaptation from BL material and that was for Justice in the Dark, what a shame!

I think in this case is more related to the loss of reputation of the actors and also to protect them from public outrage. One of the ML was recently persecuted in an airplane. It was even international news. It was awful. The one who is suspected to be married with a child which won't be much of a problem but he has a reputation with the ladies too. Ziyu definitely is a cheater because he publicly apologised, so not denying that one. Releasing all now it means that the buzz would stop sooner rather than later.

You are right to be scared. I think these Sisters Nong have underweight the risks of this production. Most BLs made in China are not Chinese and are registered in Thailand or Taiwan, so honestly, I don't know what's going on here.

They cannot ban international productions for an international audience. They forbade BLs in 2006? Years back now, more recently, they are cracking down on bromances adapted from damnei (BL) literature. However, let's not believe in everything said in social media about China, there is so much unreliable information. China is strange for us, don't use the same apps, the same platforms. I like the series very much but if you ask I think you should wait a bit longer. It does not progress much from ep to ep.

What part is false? Weibo is one of the Chinese platforms, what about Douyin? Anyway, in the international platforms Elliot and Kipuka has more followers and for what I see including X the platforms are promoting them as rep of the series. No need to get aggravated. Li Pein En is an older actor in top mainstream productions (date of birth here is different than Chinese sources) , so it won't surprise me is he has a lot of followers in China. He is also considered very attractive. If I don't recall wrongly, he was the first one in being hired for ABO. Personally, I am a great consumer of c dramas when ABO was announced and despite having watched the series that Pein Un was in, I didn't recognise him, but I immediately recognised Elliot and Kipuka from previous series despite that were cheaper productions.
