Long Zuo is the most redundant character in the novel and suspect in the live too. It is never explained his life and circumstances. So I have read the novel twice and I am as puzzled as you are. The only I can say is that Alphas are versatile, but the pregnancy here no idea. I will wait for somebody else to jump with a more enlighten comment.

A production at this level for sure needed careful planning and good research. Building chemistry...only happen in Thailand, in other places the actors are in a tight scheduled and jump from one filming crew to the next one, from one flight to the next. A professional actor don't need those workshops, they are trained to get in and out of character pretty quickly.
