I really like it so far. Intense, with intriguing characters and an awesome cast. The setup is a bit contrived, but that's okay because it does interesting things to our characters and it's way more important where they go from there.
Is this worth watching? (I love Jun Il Woo but if everything else sucks then I am not interested)
Almost everything else sucks, so don't bother. The premise is intriguing, but the story never goes anywhere interesting. The writing is so convenient it makes up so many rules on the spot whenever needed and discards stuff you were made to believe to be important before, which makes it really hard to care for anything. In that sense details are unpredictable in a bad way but on the other hand it also lacks creativity and ends up very predictable overall because you know exactly how the story's gonna play out.
For a story about ghosts, it's actually very little about ghosts and in no way is there anything resembling the ghost busting police activity suggested in the synopsis.
Add to that cringe-worthy acting from many cast members and a cartoon villian... I also think I've never seen a less satisfying happy ending...
Yuriko Ishida and Hiromi acting is beyond my imagination because i just watched Ishida acting Yakou Kanransha…
All the Japanese promotions for this drama lead with that and it happens within the first ep, so I really don't think it's a spoiler. It's not a twist, it's the setup. I wish I had known before watching, because that makes it a totally different drama from what I was expecting, that's why I edited the synopsis to include it.
Unbelievably goood! Great Drama and Great Cast! Kudos to the writers! lets hope it continues this strong! anyone…
You might enjoy Cruel Palace then. That show also covers a historically difficult father-son relationship among palace intrigue and manipulation. The focus is on the manipulator though and not the prince, but that drama also goes some very dark places.
Stupid honest Nao became a liar in this version. (When she was asked what's inside the bag and she told the guy…
Lol you're right. Totally didn't occur to me. If they're all chosen like that it doesn't make any sense. I just assumed she was the only one chosen that way, but now I remember the MC mentioning that it was the same for everyone.
I have to nitpick a bit at the lie you chose, because she doesn't literally say "I don't know" but rather something along the lines of "Well..." or "Who knows". She did lie outright about changing her clothes just a moment before that though, so that doesn't make it better.

Da Jeong's blind trust in others and her desire to help people and not hurt anyone is still the same and that's what counts and makes her different.
Because that's what other people wear as the 'masks' mentioned in the beginning to cover for their greed but for her it's real and not faked.
I really related to Siwan's character in the first episode. When I first started out as an intern in a lab, I…
But if they tell you how to do stuff you can be much more usefull to them and you won't go breaking expensive equipment! I've worked as an intern in labs two times now but in both companies they patiently explained everything and answered any questions I had. I always thought that was the norm... Does that depend on the country? It's still very easy to sympathize with Siwan's character, even if I can't relate.
The connection thing is so frustratingly right, but I think it's actually way more than 50 % that use connections... I have a really hard time without those, so I can understand the annoyance at the people who do have them =(
try this one then: http://www.bilibili.com/video/av1624838/

I usually watch without subs so besides the obvious sources (gooddrama, drama.net) I have no idea where to watch subbed J-drama :(
This just started airing today so there are no subs out yet. If you don't mind the raw it's on dailymotion: http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x282t1w (part 2 should be among the suggested videos)
There's really a huge difference between how good I think this drama is (4-5) and how much I liked it (8-9). I settled for 7 but would only recommend it to fans of the actors.
I think I can start to let go of my fears and feel optimistic about this show now =D
At the very least you can tell that this remake won't fail as miserably as To the beautiful you, although that sets the bar really low.
If somebody dragged me out when working like Gwang Soo repeatedly does with Da In I'd get really annoyed and upset.
yep. wouldn't want a guy disregarding my work. (it'd be fine if it was once in a while, but he does it so often!)
I don't blame him though but her for not opening her mouth.

Edit: Scratch that. She's got quite some screentime in the beginning but it becomes less and less and now they switched her out.
