i agree but the fact is that what she saw him doing to his "brother " isn't of a normal child would do ..that also made her believe that all these years he was the one that killed the family .. that is why she loves yo han and felt so apologetic for him as opposed to her own son whom she thinks has always been a murderer, i don't even think she regarded him as a normal child or even felt anything towards him being her son since she also fell victim to the trauma and pain the head hunter imposed on her( the slightest weird actions of the kid could make her suspect that he's just like his dad ) , i'd say she definitely was a tormented character but she could've handled things much better than this but yeah overall i didn't like her character either and i agree with most of what you said.
