In the novel she’s basically following another general’s army’s so she has a base camp. She’s able to buys a place close by where Mr Zhao and Chang Ning can stay, she brings over Mrs. Zhao to say say with them and she visits and stays when she has free time. Since it looks like the drama she’s not doing boot camp but rather traveling around looking for Qian Qian and Bao’er she can’t easily take her with her

From the comments about the rest of the episodes and political stuff reminds me that it was one grip I had from the novel. The end of the novel all the political stuff was hammered down it such short about of chapter with so much going on. So it’ll be interesting to see how the rest of the drama plays out

Overall the drama has stayed true to the novel. The latest episode makes me want to read the novel again after the drama finishes! I like to read novels long before its adaptations are released or else every little changes would bother me lol so I read this when cast was officially announced. Whatever reason in this episode I remember more things from the novel that makes me want to reread

It got changed to what we saw at the end of episode 26. At the time of filming the bts one the composition just looked awkward.

White she might be strong, compared to him he’s a big solid mass. So her smaller size, speed and strength and you see her always jumping and a running start to create momentum so that her strength makes an impact. Compared to other soldiers who can just get into stance and wield their sword.

I read it on readthedrama and chapter 83 is when she gets the idea of taking his place

She straight butchered him 💀seriously though you see her first trying to slice him but it’s all armor, then she does a jump kick and he barely moved lol she reconfigured and hit the burned wood towards him and him getting it in his eye and she went full force 👏🏼

Again props to the screenwriter for injecting humor all in the right places and time. It keeps the storyline going and not letting any tone sitting too long 👏🏼

From the main leads, the supporting roles, and side character the writer gave life to…. the actors who played those have been fantastic

In the preview we got a forehead kiss and he gets slapped leaving him in the ground as she leave with his horse. In the novel, there is forced love and she beats the shit out of him leaving him in the ground as she leaves with his horse. Kinda wished she beat the shit out if him 😅

I absolutely love that the drama has been sticking so close to the novel but also love the changes made. In the novel all the battlefield scenes were written so vividly and seeing how rich this first battle has been is so satisfying. I can’t wait to see the other battlefields!!

She just has an active lifestyle… and genetics. She did an interview during moonlit reunion promo and they talked about how xu Kai goes to the gym a lot and they asked if she goes to the gym for her fitness. She doesn’t go to the gym but she does a lot of sports activities

Yup. The whole enemy army that Xie Zheng and others were looking down on was gonna attack. Her action basically caused a distraction and made the enemy group split up to see what is going on and the main army waiting. So Xie Zheng group went to attack and the small group was attacked by the soldiers on the cliff with her. Like Gongsun Yi saying she was lucky lol

The poor guy impersonating Xie Zheng all flustered with the back and forth and then Yan Zheng pulling out his Xie Zheng 😩 then we get his inner thoughts “This isn’t what we discussed” 😅

I do like them switching out the hunting scene for her confronting little Sui. So many of her villagers stood up for her and her hearing it.

Too many angry with Changyu “what if” situations. Xie Zheng, Gongsun Yi, Xie Wei, etc reaction/actions show that we as viewer aren’t supposed to take her action seriously especially with them all were ready and waiting to charge if necessary anyway when the squad came out. If anything like Xie Zheng said Shi Yue’s suspicious nature made him take a small army in bc of her action vs the original plain of that large army Zheng and all were watch from above.

Also I’m assuming the pig squad was even able to take that little Sui is bc Xie Wu so… they enabled her action 😅 him knowing her position and her relation to Xie Zheng let her and then went to report it to him. The poor guy stuck in between. Always at the scene of the crime which made him the best go to for gossip but him in a tough position lol

In the adaptation Changyu is driven a lot more by emotion and a lot of her actions is in worry of her husband… the Marquis who she think is a nobody and while strong still a commoner that higher ups are willing to sacrifice.

In the novel & adaptation still got Sui army diverting while a small group try to sneak in. The change? Marquis is in action and is aware of the sneak in vs unaware and Changyu stumbled up in while hunting. It looks like Changyu’s action is what caused Shi Yue to bring a small group to sneak in bc of Shi Yue’s suspicious nature according Xie Zheng otherwise the main army was gonna attack. So they got rid of the hunting and her sneaking up on the small army sneaking in and raiding their compound for her using the Sui brother to bargain for the goods.

While Changyu action in the novel and drama was considered reckless but her way about it in the novel was slightly strategic and necessary bc that small army was moving in when she stumbled upon them. The drama was definitely reckless action of the pig squad to basically go rogue and the reason was to get the goods. In both instances they got lucky.

I don’t think she was punished in the novel… mainly bc again she stumbled upon the sneak in vs this was a proactive action of the squad. The marquis and his people watched over but since they all watched over he does need to punish and we saw Xie Zheng take over Yan Zheng in that moment when his vvoice got deeper and authoritative

At the end if it all it’s cause and effect of him hiding he damn identity 🤦🏻‍♀️ the drama made him softer and in turn made her softer bc in the novel he is cold and domineering and she in turn is always in a battle with him. The matched in the novel and matched in the drama
