I’m 7 episodes in, but this drama just isn’t hitting for me, despite the high rating you guys give this drama…
Maybe it’s just not for you and that’s okay 🤷🏻‍♀️ especially since a lot of ppl think the whole Li’An arc of them at the village was the heart of the drama and the strongest. So if you don’t like it you probably won’t like the rest BUT there were some that liked it better once they left the village lol so it’s up to you to preserver or throw in the white flag and concede lol

Is it like too much romance... Cause i want to watch something with less romance more comedy and more mysterySo,…
At the end of the day it’s is basically an idol romance drama set in historical fictions. If you are looking for comedy and mystery, this isn’t the one for you.

Person Tian Xi Wei
I miss Xiaotian sm after POJ that I hav been rewatching her dramas hahah.. Is “in between” an okay drama?…
It’s a self growth drama. No fluffy formulaic romance drama. These characters are flawed so their actions might annoy you lol it’s young adults navigating life and relationships and shows the complexities of humanity.

Those last 10 min were so useless they could’ve shown scenes with the leads and their kids or if they wanted…
Those last 10 minutes is when Wei Yan was reborn and he stopped the massacre from happening. So what we saw was them in their next life if that massacre didn’t happen bc Wei Yan stopped it.

DOES ANYONE HAVE TIAN XIEWEI WEIBO POST
For the conclusion of the drama? She just finished doing makeup for the drama she’s currently filming a few hours ago so she won’t post for awhile … maybe during her break or even tomorrow if she’s too tired after work.

Title Pursuit of Jade Spoiler
What's with the 'ending scene' after Minister Li goes into exile/retirement, the massacre scene and then FCY's…
It’s just her coming back to her hometown and memories of its people and those are the ones waving at her all happy. You see that warm dazed glow and then when she get to her house it’s normal coloring again and everything is clear.

This is like word of honor. i never like that one to be that hyped. This one i mainly watched 2nd half a bit. first…
Do you basically didn’t watch it 💀 also how can you say it’s your first drama of her but then say she can’t act but depends on director? How would you know if you’ve only seen her in one thing?

So what was the ultimate significance of her mother's hair pin? I kept thinking that was goin to turn out to some…
Was there a significant to it? It was the last gift her mom gave her for her coming of age. That was the significance of it. Otherwise no other significance tying to the past. Even in the novel she never got the hairpin back after selling it to the pawn shop.

If FL's father is from the Wei family, and ML's mother is also from the Wei family... are they technically distant…
Just from the same clan but not related by blood

Overall aspects I’d give it a 9/10 if I never read the novel. Reading the novel I’d give it an 8/10. Did fantastic at the beginning. It’s the same in the sense that they spend a lot of time in the village BUT the drama does give the pair more time together to establish their foundation. The middle of the drama fumbles big time. This would be when they separate and we see her journey into becoming a general. Working under that army’s leadership, sparring with the other soldier especially one guy who looked down on her to becoming one of the many squad leaders. Watching her leadership in the battles, that one guy that looked down on her changing his outlook of her and gaining his respect, saving General He, to holding out the battle for Xie army to arrive, etc. all that gone… none in the drama. The last half of the drama they tried to jam in all the politics and backstory if what happened back then. I saw some give low score on other platforms bc they understood nothing but also admit they skipped episode bc it was boring 😩

I wish her journey to general and beyond had made more sense. Claiming she has seen countless and plentiful battle…
They basically cut out her whole journey and the battlefield stuff. You’ll have to read the novel it.

I think it's the first time I am seeing food crumbs on a fl's face while eating in a cdrama. Usually cdramas are…
Not sure if it was intentional but the FL actress tends to eat the real food used for prop heartily lol I saw from the drama she’s currently filming and she ate one of the tangerine but she shakes the peel back into its shape had placed it back on the plate 😂

Also Sui Yuanqing- I think he is the only person in the drama/novel, who had no excuses for what he did. No traumatic…
Yup. He was a true villain where as all the other “villains” are products of past actions

I'm confused with Qi Min, Qi Shu & Qi Sheng relationship. Are they all siblings or nephew- uncle/aunty? 🤔🤔
They are related by blood not close related like siblings, just a position in the royal lineage.

Why is every saying ep 38? I’m on Netflix and it only to 36
The other two platform it airs on has express package where they can pay and watch the rest of the episodes. Netflix follows the regular secdule of basic membership of those two platforms

Yeah its HE. The romance starts quite early, its obvious they like each other by ep 4 ish. You get their first…
I’d say give it a shot. As long as you don’t go in with expectations on how characters should behave and this being a more ensemble cast lol This drama has been a lot of people’s first time watching a cdrama so there is an audience friendly aspect of it. I’d even say it’s an idol drama set in historical fiction with a looming war in the background. I’ve seen ppl get angry at the female lead character bc she’s straightforward and has a backbone in scenes where by rule of order she shouldn’t be so… flippant I guess but it is fiction. I also think it has a bit of a modern feel to it.

Why are people rating drama low i have watched nearly 300 cdramas good bad both ……….this drama is good if…
Like for whatever faults it has, it’s an overall great show I saw a data index for popular tv series characters and 8 of the characters are in the top 10. There was another data index of large increase in social media and 8 of the actors were in the top 10. This show went beyond one main lead or main lead couple but a whole ensemble cast 👏🏼

I LOVE Changyu always referencing thing back to her pig days lol from the dam days and rounding up those loose pigs to prevent them from informing little Sui to referring the Emperors limbs as pig trotters lol

I love this show but if I had to name my complaints, I’d say the multiple names some characters have is definitely…
Funny enough they cut out some characters and merged them into other characters so the screenwriter did try to consolidate some.

Song Yan! I knew he was off to the capital but wasn’t sure if they’ll weave in him from the extra chapters. In the extra chapters he keeps failing an exam and gets an opportunity to teach Changning. In the drama he gets the opportunity to teach Changyu court etiquette lol
