I don’t care what ZLH said about sea people. I am seeing people use that as an excuse to talk shit about POJ.…
Honesty if anyone brings in drama, or any of his co stars… they’ve lost the plot and truly did not care about what he said and is just using it as an excuse to pile on any of their grievances.
I’m curious. Are there other dramas where we see a female generals journey becoming a general from the ground up. I ask because I saw a comment on a different platform the person being confused on how she becomes a general bc they see the character so far… in their words impulsive, inconsistent in combat abilities, and doesn’t see her as someone who is brave and strategic. I don’t know what they been watching but doesn’t see her as BRAVE?!
Again when ppl were complaining about the amount of episodes spent in the village. Granted in the novel a good chunk was focused on the village getting to know all these ppl. One thing with the adaptation is the screenwriter focusing on groups of villagers and to see the massacre… the heartbreak as a whole for the villagers but when showing these specific individuals. At least for me reminders of previous scenes with these characters and then to see this tragic outcome. It’s just so much more impactful.
Again going praise to the screenwriter in combining roles or creating new roles and being mindful of its purpose. Li Huai A getting the right hand man of General He and possibly changing this character’s fate from its novel counterpart. The Magistrate’s daughter, I saw some complaining about useless created character. She provided moments for the main lead couple and became the no name villager who exposed where Changyu lived in the novel BUT true to the character she stood strong and her haughtiness but protectiveness. She also shined the spotlight on how cowardly her father was… which was depicted in the novel and adaptation but the character really nailed down the cowardice of her father.
Aunt Kang…. we all know about her but in the final moments. The screenwriter gave old and new characters nuances 👏🏼
Please between ml and fl who's more good at martial art? Like who's stronger?
Obviously the ML, it’s something he was groomed for and became. The FL has the raw talent and going forward we see her growth and learn to hone in that talent to become a general.
I mentioned before the screenwriter gave Li Huai An a double role as General He’s right hand man. I thought it was just for him to look after the sisters at the beginning but it looks like it’s throughout the drama. So Li Huai An seems to have a new role and hopefully a different fate from the novel
honestly they seem pretty wealthy compared to their neighbors, they also have the largest house out of everyone,…
In the novel they were doing well especially if they can afford to support Song Yan family. It because they were doing well that her dad bought that large property and planned to buy pigs and then her parents died. So now no/scarce income.
I saw some complaining about the last few episodes as fillers. Those episodes are integral in understanding who these upcoming villains such as the Sui brothers like qi min = sui yuanhuai, and the upcoming sui yuanqing, and what they have been planning, etc.
Does anyone know the meaning of the line in ep 14 that Yan Zheng said to Song Yan, "How do you know that when…
Insulting Song Yan because he says he’s a disgrace to scholars. Yan Zheng says, “Scholar? Are you worthy of that word?”. Song Yan an ordinary geese who can’t even recognize exceptional people (phoenix) around him. Yan Zheng telling Song Yan just because he studied a bit and now he looks down on everyone. Just because ordinary people are moving around doesn’t mean truly great people won’t still have their place.
I mentioned before big change from the novel is focusing on building the relationship while Yan Zheng is still in the town. With an adaptation having a time limit, it was good on the screenwriter changing that so that the connection is well established before the coupe separated so that ppl are still invested in them and their reunion.
Another big change I noticed before and continuing now is Li Huai A playing multiple roles in the adaptation. The first was in the novel General He had a devoted right hand man that was sent to watch over the Fan girls instead it’s now Lord Li.
In the novel Yu Qian Qian was sabotaged and forced to closed her restaurant. In the adaptation Qi Min is introduced early and he pays for the restaurant for 10 day.
The screenwriter is doing a great job at staying true to the novel but yet rearranging things to condense and help move things along faster. Also I think the screenwriter is doing well at weaving these side couples story into the main story bc the novel felt like separate stories in the story… if that makes sense lol
