And to those who don’t quite know what the threat of martial law means to Korea… get informed about Korean history of the last 70 years. There’s more to a culture than movies and food. Just like learning the language it will deepen your experience.
It is heartwarming to see the South-Korean people protesting to defend democracy instead of "storming the capitol". They will endure, and they will make him step down, or force a new impeachment procedure. Some Koreans say they feel ashamed of what's happened, but they should be proud of the democracy they've fought for, now and in the past. It is working. They are an example for the world.
Still can’t find which are the cliché parts of this drama. The cute and sweet little scenes between the leads…
The whole drama is stitched together with cliches... you can find plot elements from LR in works all the way back to Shakespeare. But... writing a great story and script using cliches in a fresh way and in new combinations, so that the cliches become necessary and fun... that results in the best art! The writer and directors did an absolutely smashing job with this show!!
Whoever was responsible for casting BWS and KHY together should get a huge bonus!! Loved them so much… gonna miss them lots. My most favourite little moment in the final episode… Seon Jae and grandma… the emotion on his face… oh boy!
If You love an emotional BL then this is for you It’s does not represent BL but supports the LGBTQ theme. Such…
Please put a spoiler tag on this. The whole point of the movie is that you are given very small pieces of the puzzle throughout the story. And your comment deals with one of the latter pieces!
I really don't get why some people didn't like episode 9 because of the lack of ML and FL action... Episode 9 is all about the ML and FL! It's their families that are forced to interact... it's the people that Hyun Woo comes form... and the people that Hae In comes from. It's so informative about why they are who they are, how they have outgrown their respective families while still having their roots firmly leading back to them. It gives them both an opportunity to get to know each other better. And it gave us fun scenes with Hyun Woo's mum and sister, and with Hae In's dad and aunt. And that dinner scene was hilarious. I loved it!
Points for the interesting premise… but the writing was very sloppy at times, with a lot of loose ends. Both Myung Ha’s mothering and Yeo Woon’s puppy behavior resulted in an imbalance between them, the latter even being a little annoying. And Sang Won (by far the most interesting character) and Kyung Hoon were there for what?... they were criminally underused. Two or three years ago this would have been a step forward, but we’re used to much better now. It’s being compared with Semantic Error, but it’s nowhere near as good!
