I have watched 7 eps of this drama when it first aired and loved it but I got busy with real life that I had to put it on hold and it has stayed there for 4 years. Now I finally picked it up and finished it, and I must say even after 4 years have passed I still loved it. Their friendship is precious! There is nothing to dislike here, wonderful 4 male characters, lovely 4 love stories, mixture of comedy and melo and cheesy but fun lines! Mature love story, I'm not a rom-com fan but this is the kind of rom-com I'd enjoy. I really really enjoyed the ride just as much as enjoyed it the first time 4 years ago :)
Am I the only one bothered by the cat slaughter scene?! know it's just acting but god how much I want to kill Hye Sung right now!! I was enjoying this drama immensely and I was really having fun even with all the scary scenes until this scene... it really made me uncomfortable. Was it even necessary? The dog bit him too I'm happy that he's safe but what's with the cat scene!
I am so happy to see the ratings on MDL is rising but so sad that Korea is too busy to appreciate it. It has been…
Hey CatoCat, Again I agree with you :)
Although I'm not as active as you in terms of reviewing dramas on each drama's page but I always make sure to read your thoughts since I enjoy them very much.
Surprisingly Beautiful Mind and 38 Squad are the dramas I had no expectations for but are a pleasant surprise. I must say I didn't think I'd be mentally and emotionally connected with a drama after finishing Memory months ago but I am with this one now :)
I am so happy to see the ratings on MDL is rising but so sad that Korea is too busy to appreciate it. It has been so long since I've fallen in love (emotionally) not just mentally with a drama and it has been even longer since a drama has managed to make me fall in love deeper and deeper as it proceeds. Recent K dramas never failed to lose my interest and quiet fast. This one has aired 10 eps already and it's getting better and better, I thought this is no longer even possible. I'm sincerely happy for Jang Hyuk for choosing this project, finally something that gives him the chance to show what he's capable of doing as an actor. Lee Yeong Oh can easily enter my favourite drama characters list. Beautiful Mind is the perfect title for such a beautiful story. At this rate, I have the feeling I'm going to part in good terms with this drama when it ends which is something I've missed with the dramas I've finished recently... Beautiful Mind please keep feeding me beautiful thoughts :)
After watching this I've come to conclusion that when it comes to Kim Sun Ah she can absolutely have a steamy chemistry with any male co star. I don't think I've seen any other actress who can have such chemistry with every single male actor like her and of course I don't even need to say how great of actress she is. Loved Kim Sun Ah and Cha Seung Won and all the supporting cast here. One of the cutest ending, enjoyable drama :)
"his role portrayed by any other actor would have come across as sleazy and stalker-ish but with him there is an innocence and vulnerability that oddly makes you root for him and the couple." Wonderfully said!! Agreed!
"if however, you want to see the world from an alternative point of view or just really feel something down to your soul, then I highly recommend this movie." Again beautifully said! Great review thank you fellow Gong Yoo fan :)
This is a pithy tragedy, well written and wonderfully acted. It has similar elements to other Korean drama series I've seen, so this could have been your average Korean melodrama; however the sincere, soulful and heartfelt performance by So Ji Sub elevates this melodrama to the highest degree. It's definitely worth watching. I sincerely think and hope that SJS would go back to making melodramas. The reason I will always appreciate old K dramas is because they don’t make such stories anymore I miss such sincere real writing.
What a wonderful review for one of the exceptional classic rom-com! Thank you :)
I loved how well you described each character and I agree with everything especially Lee Hye Young as Seon Joo I loved her very much (whenever I see this actress again I remember her as Seon Joo). Dal Ja and Tae Bong one of the best noona dongsaeng out there and they are so lovable!! 22 eps never dragged and for someone who likes rom-com the LEAST this is one of the very few dramas that won my heart and I still love it :D
I suggest you try I Really Really Like You for Lee Min Ki (that's where my love for LMK started!!). It is also one of the few rom-com that I loved and gave fairly high rating to :)
Please ignore the negative posts here. If you like thrillers/action/melodramas with lots of LOTS of twists: Watch!…
I'm one of those who disliked this drama very much right after ep.4 everything went down the hill for me. My disappointment has NOTHING to do with the ending because I was irritated way before that. Also "romance" is the last thing I look at or care about rom-com are my least favourites LOL but I agree with this "MDL has a lot of members who are into romantic dramas". As for me, I have many issues with this drama "plot-wise" so it'd be nice if you don't assume everyone hates this drama for the reasons you've mentioned. I saw flaws and irritating stupid things in the plot that annoyed me like hell and I just couldn't overlook them.
Oh and on second thought Wanted is another thrilling drama that's airing right now and I was really worried it would be another God's Gift huge disappointment since the plot does sound somewhat similar but so far it's nowhere near it!! It's doing a hell of a job in the "suspense" and "thrill" part. If you haven't picked it up yet I suggest you do :)
It started well but then it lost intensity and then dragged for too long. There wasn't much story to make 16 episodes…
Finally a comment that I can fully agree with :)
Thank you CatoCat! I will just add that I don't even consider it a "good timepass". No good amount of Acting, Music, Direction will ever make me overlook how bad, wrong and empty this plot feels.
Pain. My one word review for this drama. I won't get into the moral issues about extra marital affairs because…
Thank you so much for writing this! I'm happy to see someone else understood the ending and the beauty of this movie :)
The feelings you went through its what the movie wants you to feel but I thought it will be hard to get through people, I'm glad to see I'm not alone in this.
"There are so many layers to this drama. It's definitely not a typical one" very well described! Although I'm certainly not a fan of both IOTL and TWTWB which is why I had my doubts but the writer certainly impressed me here! I loved this one a lot and I think this review says it all, so you got one vote from me :)
And may I suggest that you check out Memory? That is if you haven't seen it yet. Memory is as emotionally striking as this one and won my heart in comparison.
This is one of the few dramas that I actually do not like to refer to as “drama” because it just too sincere and too slice-of-life material to be categorized as a drama. If I would summarise it in one word... such a REWARDING story!
All the guys are giving PSH lovey-dovey eyes and I don't blame them :D I am shipping her with everybody. Even…
Haha thank you! You have no idea how giggly I got when I saw those STH sweetheart reunion even if it isn't "romantic" this time xD
Sigh! Unfortunately I can see the signs too... Kachiiing my friend love triangles ruin my enjoyment and wear me out! I know when it comes to K dramas with a "romance" in the genre it is almost impassible not to have one but I will still hope for a love-triangle-free drama maybe one day my prayers will be heard! Beautiful Gong Shim and now this, it does seem "nice guy" is a new trend?
I was excitingly waiting for Lee Sung Kyung's next project since I loved her so much in CITT, but got disappointed with this choice of character (not that she had different options when it comes to 2nd female character). I think Seo Woo's hatred towards Hye Jung is unjustified now (considering this is not a makjang lol because nothing is justifiable there). Her reason is very weak compared to her previous fellow 2nd female characters tbh. Is it her job that she is afraid of losing to Hye Jung or is it still about Ji Hong? She is interested in someone else now though.

I don't blame them either even I have those heart shaped eyes for her right now lol! But I sure hope the drama isn't going to make every single guy falls for her, I don't even want Yoon Do to fall for her please no love triangle or love square... I think it's enough that the drama chose to go with the annoying/jealous/evil 2nd female character cliche.
@#$%^& In Chul how much low can you get exactly? That is so low and so cruel! Not being honest to your wife before getting married about something like this is unforgivable! Urgh I never felt like punching a character in drama like I do now! So despicable. Also Sang Tae's attitude is starting to annoy me, there is no need to cut all ties with the grandparents he can cut them with him alone if he wants but he shouldn't interfere with the kids relationship with their grandparents he has no right.

It's strange that someone would down vote your view when everyone seems to love this drama...
Yes it's this one the one you linked with Lee Sung Min as the lead ^^
You're in for emotional ride, I sure hope you enjoy it as much as I did ;)
