It's a good way to protect herself from further pain. I would do the same too. That one we can both live amiably while working together. But the trailers show that Shifu can't keep to his own words and his actions always portray him.

Exactly. So far, she hasn't strayed from her true self and continues to live well. That original madam from the fabric house shouldn't asked Haishi for advice after she was rejected from shifu instead of being a traitor.
Thoughts on ep 23 and 24:Zheliu and Zhouying: Honestly teared up a bit in their scene in ep 24 when she gave him…
I think they're saving the momentum for the big reveal of her gender when she enters into court. Even in the trailers, there's something majestic about it. And agreed, even after being rejected she's able to carry on. Most of these historical characters never end up well after rejection lol
As much as I dislike the actions of shifu sometimes, I have to keep reminding myself that this is a man whose seen and been through more than the average person. So I try to show him some kindness but he still makes me wanna throw hands too lol
Also, I wonder if Tilan's body is unable to bear children because of her uterine bleeding? It sounds like major damage to her. Seems cruel to make her suffer for so long if she's gonna die in the future (I'm guessing because it seems like she's not gonna be around for long). It seems her whole purpose was to humanise the Emperor but what would happen to him if she too died? Is that where Haishi comes in? As a confidant to him?
I have to commend Haishi's ability to look forward rather than back. It's quite evident in her advice to the Emperor. Life is short, why dwell on the things that make us suffer? Emperor needs to take heed of this advice and heal and be a better person overall. But I do like this interaction between Haishi and the Emperor, it's slowly building towards a trusted friendship.
Hated it..She didn't even watch it properly..And didn't comment on 3rd couple..🙄
Can't really be shocked tbh. She gives some of the most dense reviews and hardly has any insight into the original texts or delves deeper. I watched one review she did and she's very biased.
I think it's the general consensus that she was guilt-tripped into doing it by a combination of her home state's…
Definitely a combination of both. It's sad to see her have to live the opposite of her sister's life in the Palace. She is nothing but a pawn for everyone to use including people who are supposedly meant to be on her side.
I just want to post up an appreciation post for Big brother Shaozi. Everyone out here having relationships but he's running around doing all the extra leg work lol
At the start of ep 21 and still don't get why Consort Shurong purposely dressed as Zizan can someone explain?
Neither. I thought she was trying to impersonate her and try to convince him to send relief to her people but shit got out of hand. And now, I cannot decide whether she is part of a bigger plan but this relationship is toxic asf
