That would have to be a modern drama or older historical dramas. It seems a lot of these companies use dramas with bigger stars to promote their next favourite actors on the roster.

It happens. The first time I saw the ep and the later eps I was like thinking the same thing. What would an older gentlemen have in common with a burgeoning young imperial guard but then i re-watched and it made sense. Makes the friendship with Haishi all the more legitimate

Ep6 says that the carriage belong to Marquis Wuxiang and Haishi says "that his 14th son Zhou Youdu is handsome and graceful. If he had not been with you, the fruits he received would've filled several carts," Unless, the subtitles for my region of WeTv are incomplete then that indicates he was in the cart. All the same, at least we know he has a friendship with Zhuoying which should be fun to watch.

I just realised who Zhou Youdu is. He's the son of Marquis Wuxiang who shared a carriage with Zhuoying when he placed 1st in the imperial exams. Zhuoying said the girls and women were throwing fruits at him because he was so handsome which Haishi quickly rebutted with the fact that Youdu was the one who dazzled all the women not him lol
