I'm a sucker for historical dramas especially when Dilraba is hail to star in one. I've always wanted her t o star in either a Qing era of Republic drama. What do you guys think?

Why do people bringing up the age factor like it's a big deal. Joe Chen is veteran actor and can act wonderfully. Why is it such a big deal that she's older?

To say that she "forgot traits of good acting" is more on your failure to recognise the nuance of her character (which if you read the novel, you would be able to deduce) than on her actual portrayal of the character. She nailed her character to a T because despite being a famous actress she isn't overly demanding nor is a pushover - just someone who knows her worth. Love 020 is harbours more on the nostalgic side for most because many watched it at a time they were young and idealistic so pushing it onto someone who might be matured and advanced would not be ideal.

I prefer YAMG because the chemistry felt more realistic and the slow burn worked more because the lead actors are two different spaces in their lives . I liked it as there was none of that cookie cutter shit but I guess that just comes with the expectations at my age but both dramas need to drop the "he's so handsome" trope. Realistically if YY wasn't a celeb, we wouldn't really be giving him a second look despite his good looks. Still don't understand the hype of Love 020 because the character interactions felt childish and cringe but I know a lot of the glow around the show stems from nostalgia! Both these shows should've come to to end at 24 episodes because it got draggy.
