Marc’ character is a bit too hostile in the beginning, and both in the main coupe were not charming enough to…
Marc’s character is supposed to be poor, but he is rich as his family is paying for a spacious single patient room in a pricy private hospital.
Why the other lad is questioning doctors even though he is not a relative? This is a gross violation of medical standard of care and privacy.
You can not save money from working on a parrliing lot, this is too silly. And there is not need for that because, as we discussed earlier, Itt’s family is rich.
That Pai character is suicidal maniac, always wants to go under any passing car.
The lass situation and “misunderstanding” is stupid.
The story of tutoring a GPA 2 student to nearly 4, what is required for a high profile university, is not quite believable.
If you are locked in a classroom, then you are in trouble. There is no toilet or even a bucket to go to when necessary. Also, nobody who wears glasses would ever fall asleep in them. An earring can not just fall off of an ear just by accident, especially the one that requires piercing.
There is no real drama about who the club room would belong to because both lads are of the final 12th grade, so it is pretty clear that the tutoring that was given both a punishment and an incentive was not a selfish act. Besides, the fact that Pai’s club was rewarded with the room does not mean he was requiring it, especially because the tutoring was a part of his punishment anyway, and it was known to Itt from the very beginning.
Wait, a lad finds sex boring? It is not believable.
The nerdy types do not win contests like Sun and Moon. Also, top performers do not have to be nerds. Most of them are not, so they are great at socialising, public speaking etc and this is how they win contests. Nerds do not win those. No way this Pai character with no charisma could have ever won.
Those who strain their arms are not put on beds in hospitals.
Itt says “it is over between me and him”, but nothing has ever even started to happen to begin with; this was funny.
I am not buying the drama between the main couple. There was no need to be hostile for one lad to help another. Just regular love and support would do as good or better.
COME ON, it is not believable that Pai’s mother would lose consciousness over him kissing a lad. Also, it is not believable that the mother would say “everything can change”. People might think that the same sex relationship is wrong, but they do not go with that other nonsense; it is not 198p any more.
And, of course, the breakup for no reason in the end is annoying.
The main couple’s supposedly larger than life, epic, magnificent love turns out worth nothing because Pai, an adult, dropped like in one second just because his parents, who can not command him, has expressed a disliking of his love.
If Pai was this insanely fanatical about pleasing his parents, then he would not have the whole long affair in the first place. So as it is now this plot twist is just another attempt to drag the sceen time.
Marc’ character is a bit too hostile in the beginning, and both in the main coupe were not charming enough to captivate more viewers. And I am not really blaming the lads too much, it is the scenario and direction.
Yes, I am also praising actor Fiat in this.
Not sure how old the model is but AIDS does not lead to deaths for a long time by now. And even the pills to control it are not that costly.
The events are too much for a silly high school drama.
You did not immediately recognise him beause this is an old series before his prime and before he has did a nose…
Well, if I were to go more analytical and accurate, then things are like this: by statistics, about 95% of people are not gay or bi, and from the rest 5% about half exhibit behaviour quirks and features that would indicate they are gay/be (take Earth, the gentler one, or NuNew, Lego or Gun as examples).
The actors from those old series like this one can theoretically belong to the other 2.5% that are not detectable, so the only way we can learn they are gay/bi if they will ever indicate that through their explicit behaviour or statements.
So there is about 2.5% chance that they are bi/gay, but since many years have passed and they still have never indicated they have anything to do with the LGBTs (and some have girlfriend rumours), we can pretty reliably say that this probability is even way lower.
But you are right: technically speaking, they can still be bi or gay, it is just the probability is very low by now.
You did not immediately recognise him beause this is an old series before his prime and before he has did a nose…
In terms of entertainment, it does not matter maybe. But with LGBT people involved the stories could be more believable. This is why productions by other studios that do employ lots of actual LGBT folks, not GMMTV, often make more sense.
Zee and Saint (Fighter+Tutor) in Why R U were great together and I enjoyed the acting and chemistry. Zee was so…
You are right: of course, GMMTV never mentioned anything about Win’s character being asexual or neutered because of a trauma or an illness. For anything like that we would have to switch from BL series to LGBTA films genre.
I have only watched a few Korean BLs, but if the most of them are like 2gether and My Engineer, I would probably be quite annoyed. This is so beyond anything believable that only the cutest lads can make me watch it all through, though even that barely. I wish this site would have a tag like “The couple is in a distant relationship, even though they are not”.
Forgot to complement Win and Bright singing voices, they have beautiful timbres regardless of how good they are as singers technically. But the most beautiful BL singing voice timbre I have ever heard belongs to singer and actor Billkin (from the Sunset series). I can only compare his voice to some of the most beautiful K-Pop voices (e.g. old bands like Got7). Though, of course, I like Zi Yu (from RL), Huang Xing (from ABO Desire), Xu Bin and Zhang Jiong (from Stay With Me) singing, as well as the oldest active BL actor couple Singto and Kris.
I just learned Win has a young brother called Mick Metas, who unlike his older brother (and Bright) has no issues with kinship and affection, so people like his performance in last year’s Boys In Love series.
In regard to procreation, if we go into biology a bit, it can never be perfect because even most beautiful pairs give births to children who are often not beautiful simply because the genes in the zygote are combined in a way that the child will get his/her nose from the mother, mouth from grandfather etc, which, being beautiful on their own or in the child’s ancestors, can mismatch in the child and look awkward and not beautiful at all. Let alone mutations that can add a variety into the looks. But still, the probability of beautiful parents having beautiful children is higher, so it would be still great.
Yes, the Omegaverse solves the population issue, though only in the fantastical way. I only learned about this genre when I have watched ABO Desire, but this has seemed to ridiculous to me that I was wondering why and how people take this seriously. But then I remember people liking 50 Shades o Gray and Twilight universes.
I am not from the UK, it is just we are taught English English in schools, so lads, lasses, chaps, colours, rubbish, dustbin etc. I even remember studying the number of ways you pronounce the word “love” in various regions of the UK (spoiler alert: the only common sounds are “l” and “v”). Though by now I have lost the most of the proper English by consuming American media and American English subtitles in anime and now in BL series.
BTW, I have heard that the looks fashion in Thailand favours Chinese or Korean standards, rather than native Thai with big plump lips and everything. But then I watched actor Gun’s heavy makeup for the latest GMMTV festival. Are not they making his lips even bigger? Is this a new trend or what?
You did not immediately recognise him beause this is an old series before his prime and before he has did a nose…
Not a lot of people are bi — much less than gay/lesbian statistically — even though potentially they can experience the happiness from the both worlds. So I did not explicitly named the category for the sake of brevity.
Besides general statistics, the overwhelming number of BL series with relationships that are fundamentally absurd in terms how male to male attraction works proves that actors who play this nonsense are not even bi. Otherwise, it would have been hard for them to play it without ever saying anything about it to production teams. But they simply do not know and do not care how it all actually works.
Zee and Saint (Fighter+Tutor) in Why R U were great together and I enjoyed the acting and chemistry. Zee was so…
Yes, I was talking about common people reviews. Critic reviews are usually better than this. One could only tremble with dread imagining what general public reviews would have said about e.g. Benny Hill with his offensive, toxic, politically incorrect jokes, but some professional critics are still capable of separating their social agenda from the subjects of their analysis. So I guess you are right that this type of input about Asian dramas might have been good.
In regard to Win’s character in 2gether having zero desire of intimacy even more than a year into relationship, I got a reply that he is maybe asexual, which is a different valid explanation. Such people do exist in reality, but it is too bad the character got to behave like that not because an interesting theme is explored, but because he is written to be a prudish chastity fanatic who was waiting for the Thai marriage equality law coming into a full effect five years later than the events of the series or something. My Engineer series from the same year is almost as prudish, though it had lots of cute lads, including Inntouch.
I just watched Don’t Say No (2021) from the TharnType universe. I guess the main couple actors there is not active any more together. But I like both actors. And there was a new (I mean for me) actor Smart, also adorable. Though the series has become so dragged and stupid towards the end that I did not like it.
I also watched 7 Project with the debut role of Santa cutie. It was a bit sad, though understandable, how the views of the second episode were down fourfold because it was not a BL story. I remember actor Off complaining that no one has ever cared for his straight ships.
BTW, o/t, but do you know that I am even weirder than I might seem? I want our planet to have more beautiful people, so I do not really want any cute lads and lasses to be homosexual. Or, rather, even if they are, I wish they would have been able to procreate one way or another. Much easier to do for lesbians, so that is the hope. With this point of view it is funny and sad to watch BL series where everybody is all of a sudden gay and you know the whole community will die out soon enough. I am pretty sure some commentators would say I am suffering from “internalised homophobia” or something, LOL.
He's speaking mandarin and they dubbed over his voice. The Chinese campagny financing the drama imposed them to…
I did not notice the dubbing first, but I did notice that Mek’s voice timbre does not match his looks. But then I noticed the mouth movement mismatch. I wonder how the lad’s real voice sounds.
WORTH watching for some stupendous number of cute lads, though the drama in the end is stupid. Even in a small…
Why would the baby girl need an emergency room treatment? After a drowning accident, this is needed only when things go really bad and the patient’s brain suffers from a bad low oxygen damage that is often irreversible and debilitating forever, if not outright deadly.
But with the way the drawning was shown in the series, no medical help should have been necessary at all.
LOL, you do not need to recite War And Peace by typing on keyboard to cast a vote for an idol contestant.
As this was filmed, there is no way Ram’s father would not have noticed that he was followed by his son.
MORE PSA: if your straight friend comes to you to pour out his frustrations, do not all a sudden start to kiss him on the lips. It will only go against you. Also, do not do that even if he is gay.
That said, the story about Boss and Mek makes no sense because Boss is meant to be straight, but you can not turn anyone gay or vice versa. And the plot twist that Boss has also loved Mek all along does not sense because in such a case there was no reason for Boss to go to the greatest lengths to convince everybody that he is straight and pursue various lasses. It is not 1970s, so no excuse to be this try hard about it when you can simply date the person you love.
The social agenda in this series is really bad: good rich people are good, but bad poor people are bad.
Wait, why the medical lad is crying in his tent? It is pretty clear that the other engineering lad is crazy about him, so there is no reason to suggest that he would cheat. Well, unless the medical lad has all of the sudden understood that him curdling forcing abstinence on his boyfriend might make him want to satisfy his needs elsewhere.
If someone is switching off in the woods, he needs to be brought to a hospital, not just to a tent. Though there is no reason for King’s character to be in this state to begin with. A stick strike on the head does not cause this days after the event.
WORTH watching for some stupendous number of cute lads, though the drama in the end is stupid. Even in a small role like First is played by Ko Tanyadis, who is stunning.
Come on, making Inntouch play the role of Boss makes the story not believable. The lad would have zero issues getting as many lasses (or lad) as he would want.
As nearly always, the relationship dynamics is nonsensical and backwards. In reality, males first have fun with each other, very actively and as often as possible, and then MAYBE they decide to become boyfriends. And both partners want this about as much, it is not a thing that one of the males could be frigid and use any excuse to turn down the advances of another. Also, way more gays are versatile, not tops or bottoms, but you never see it in any series. Another shocker body size of a gay male does not correspond to its position. Rather, the fun body part size.
A PSA: never do this is the backwards order most series show: you might very well be completely incompatible in your intimate life needs with your boyfriend, so it only makes sense to try it all out extensively well before you ever think of changing your relationship status.
Another PSA: always use teeth protection when you do sparring in box or any other sport where you hit each other in the head. Though, much better yet, NEVER do any of these sports as they often cause irreversible brain degradation by the age of 50, suicidal thoughts etc., even if you stop decades earlier.
A final PSA: never set up open fire sticks nearby regular tents, which are made of oil and very flammable and toxic.
After this, I have watched a BTS commentary video with all of the staff saying they thought the series was doomed after they have watched the first episode. And most of them has said they did not understand what was happening there, even though they themselves were in it or made it, LOL.
WORTH to watch for a number of super cute naked lads in sexy scenes.
Wait, is not the normal course of action to call an ambulance, not run around with food? This is not a believable behaviour.
Also, blood is very low at calories, so you have to dry like thirty people a day to feed a person with it. Additionally, drinking blood often provokes vomiting, so it is not easy way to feed yourself.
Used guitars are extremely cheap, so no need to sort through rubbish.
There was no need to kill Boy chap, he was already tied.
Though this is a trash horror film, so my questios are as silly as this film itself, LOL.
Though this could have been made into a proper and quite good drama, if not the supernatural twist.
Why the other lad is questioning doctors even though he is not a relative? This is a gross violation of medical standard of care and privacy.
