WAIT, why they are still celibate even a year after? This is the most ridiculous “relationship” I have seen…
If even after a year of playing guitar you still need someone to fix your left hand finger’s positions, you better quit.
The clubs conflict drama is fake becaue it all was solved in university/college regulations many decades ago. No such conflict is possible.
Win’s character advising Toptap’s one to be straightforward and say about his new work proposal right away is really funny because he himself never follows his own advice.
The medical/fitness advice in BL series is as horrible as expected. As countless studies have proven by now, eating less short hydrocarbons is the only thing that really works. Physical exercises only have a small role in losing/preventing weight gains. So the couple, as depicted in the series, eating junk food during the nights is completely destroying the effort. Besides, if you are dieting, the best advice is to choose the supper as your main dish of the day because it is the closest to sleep. it prevents you from being unable to sleep due to hunger during the first days of the diet, when you accommodate.
Finally on this topic, running was found not only to be not effective in terms of the weight issue, but also irriversably harmful to your knees and spine even in good sport shoes. This is because evolutionary humans are built to be long distance walkers, not runners. If you want to have a “cardio”, never choose running, choose gym equipment that simulates you walking up a hill. You will thank me thirty years later for this advice.
This series does solve the issue of actors’ Drake and Frank couple, whose story did not end with anything reasonable in the original series, but the behaviour of Drake’s character is not believable. There is no reason why he would refuse to have fun with a cute lad; especially because it would have helped to forget his unrequited love. The fact that he does not love Frank’s character is irrelevant. Most hookups happen without any love at all, it is not even remotely required.
WAIT, why Bright’s character has to move out just because he has decided to train for a couple of weeks in a different place? This drama is fake. Though the characters are not doing anything with each other, so it should not matter, really.
A PSA, children: never go to music thinking you will get famous and rich. The probability of that is extremely low, so most of the time you will be getting rock bottom wages. So only go there if you are personally absolutely crazy about playing music, and it is more important to you than ever having even half decent income. I am serious: most musicians are dirt poor, live below the proverty line because they are too many people who can play guitars or drums or sing somehow. And the demand for live music is low. Even the incoming abundance of fake neural network music that will lead to the increase of interest in live performances will not help much. Still too many musicians.
Another PSA: real life is not a BL series, so long distance relationships hardly ever work unless you or your lover is rich enough to do regular visits. A those visits should happen quite often. Granted, now long distance relationships are a bit more feasible than, say, twenty years ago even without personal meetings because video calls are available, but not by much because intimate contacts are most often necessary for the feelings to not die out. Those additional stimuli reenforce and keep up your love. Otherwise, attractive people around you or your loved one would trigger a new feeling. And you should not blame yourself or your partner for that because it is only natural, this is how physiology of love works in the brain.
WAIT, why they are still celibate even a year after? This is the most ridiculous “relationship” I have seen in a BL series.
There are zero chances that two healthy young males would ever miss the opportunity to have fun with each other. Every day or more often. There are no headaches, “I am not in the mood”, periods that poor lasses have. Males ALWAYS want to have fun.
Yet the series (well, starting from the original series) shows Win’s character pushing Bright’s one away, even though in reality he has about as much or even more desire to have fun. Win’a character does not even watch pron.
The main couple has only had one drunken half kiss in the original series. This franchise is chasing China in censoring BL.
No wonder some complain about the lack of “chemistry”. The couple is afraid to express even most basic behaviours dating people do.
So maybe Win’s character was castrated due to a trauma or an illness, and this is the key to understand the their relationship? In fact, this would have made the franchise way more interesting than what we have. People with such issues do exist and their plight is never explored.
In a believable scenario Win’s character would never avoid a possibility to have fun with Bright’s character long before any dating status. But Win’s character has written as if he a lass who needs to be pursued and is not interested in fun more than once a month maybe. And that fun in reality would not start with a kiss, that most often comes later. Males are not about kisses as much as females.
Will the BL industry ever come up with a love story that is believable?
Mostly no, because the genre itself was initially conceived by Japanese straight female manga artists for straight female audience (BL is a literal translation of the original term Shonen Ai). So it needs to be nonsensical in terms of how males behave.
Also, since almost none of the BL actors are gay/bi, and it in intentional for companies like GMMTV to avoid drama that could come up from actors actually being interested in each other, they do not care, either.
One of the very few exceptions is series Make It Right, which is from Wabi Sabi studio.
Another issue is that all of the BL series does not care that most gays are universal, not top or bottoms.
Also, it is extremely annoying that everybody in nearly every series is an heavy alcoholic.
Of course, a former kind of girlfriend pops up in the series with the whole fake drama coming out of it because the BL couple has forgot to say to the lass that they are dating, it was a “misunderstanding”. This plot trope is as overused as it is stupid.
Also, the show gives bad examples of handling dirt and sharing makeup. You should never touch your face, especially eyes, with dirty hands. And you should never share makeup.
Actors Drake and Frank couple is not believable because you can not turn off your love to someone (Win’s character) just because you lost a bet. This story line had to go further to be convincing.
IS IT THE LAW of the genre that at least one of the lads is the straightest thing until he meets “the right…
So the whole dynamics is not believable.

To be fair, wether Bright is a bad actor or not is not just about this series alone. Because the director has…
Win calls him “stiff” in the series. Buy maybe he is stiff anywhere, I do not know. I see that people say he is not a good singer, but I did not listen to him singing enough. But maybe no one in his band with Jeff Satur is as good as Jeff anyway.
IS IT THE LAW of the genre that at least one of the lads is the straightest thing until he meets “the right lad” and all of a sudden turns gay?
Yes, it is. But no matter how often I see it, it does not cease to be ABSURD. This is the same idea that some ignorant parents have when their sons say they are gay: “you just did not meet the right woman yet”.
In reality no matter how good and “right” a lad or lass is, s/he can never change the sexual attraction the lad has. It is fully hardwired in the brain by puberty as the latest threshold, so you can never discover attraction towards a different gender than what you were attracted to initially at any later point. It is medically impossible.
The only believable scenario for all of those countless BL series with this nonsense is that every person within every BL pair has always felt the same sex attractions set since puberty — be it gay or bi — but the difference could be whether he was embracing it or trying to be in denial.
But whatever comes later can never be a surprise in the lads’ ages those series explore. The stories are not about 14 years old, except for maybe Love Sick (2014; 2gether is the same story but from a competing film studio) or Cause You Are My Boy (2018) with some characters.
In my opinion, Bright is a bad actor who lacks expressiveness.
To be fair, wether Bright is a bad actor or not is not just about this series alone. Because the director has instructed the lad to play a bit of a cool and aloof type, which is not expressive by definition.
There are a lot of real life people who are not readable much as to what they feel and think, so this character is believable in this aspect.
However, if there is another series where his character is clearly meant to be theatrical, but Bright has failed to deliver that, then it can be reliably said that his range is limited to playing a restrained type.
I did not yet watch any other films or series with him, so I have no opinion yet.
NOTHING BL happens for the most part, but I do not count it as a drawback: it does not even needs this. You almost…
At some point I nearly thought that the plot twist is going to be that Ohm’s character would turn out to be Singto character’s son. That would even explain why Ohm’s character is gay because children of gay people have higher chance to be gay, as per studies. But they did not go this crazy.
I am not buying the apology of the old man murderer at all, because if he was, he would have surrendered to police with a confession, and would have been in prison.
And he has not done that not only twenty years ago, but even now, after being confronted.
Besides, the murderer has probably killed the parts, too. That whole family was dying in droves.
So no justice was carried.
They named Singto’s character Med, which means a pill. This is too much on the face for a character who has died because he took a wrong pill.
Obviously, this series is GMMTV’s supernatural competition to Wabi Sabi’s Until We Meet Again, though a lighter one.
the pinned joe rogan quote on his twitter shouldve clued us in loljokes aside damn i am so lost so let me rant…
There is nothing homophonic in either Rogan or Trump. Both are allies for decades. Trump was hosting gay ceremonies in his mansion when Obama and Hillary were still denying them of human rights (they did turn around later only because public polls have showed societal attitude change).
Just because someone follows certain politicians doesn’t mean they agree with them. People do it to stay informed,…
To be fair, is nothing “right”, let alone “far right” about Rogan. He was a major supporter of Sanders when he was running, and Rogan critiques Trump’s immigration policy theatrics.
A VERY naive rendition of how criminal organisations operate (not this way at all), but cute, I guess. But I wish…
Obviously, criminal organisations are not roaming in cities and killing random people right there in mansions and night clubs. Things are way more smooth and discreet. Targets are usually lured out and/or kidnapped and disappear for a “talk” or forever.
Tay’s character Shin did not have to flee with other two main characters, of course.
The assassins that were shown to kill whoever right on the spot fumbled a murder in a silly way because they wanted to pose or talk in this case.
They asked for only a million baht from a filthy rich person? This is just $30K, you can not do much with it, the more so split into two parts.
Instead of killing the two extortionists right away as he was ordered to do, the assassin has randomly decided to disobey the order and ask again what to do with them. But even then he has decided to hold speeches instead of murdering them right away.
The way the extortionist lad had all of a sudden become a noble knight towards a cynical thieving whore is not believable.
The same goes for Tay’s character. He has only knew both extortionists for like five seconds but suddenly wants to risk it all for them.
In this series it seems like everybody starts to trust and care within like five seconds of knowing each other. No a random motel host is already refusing big money to save the fugitive trio and wants them to help with killing her husband, even though she could have got the money and kill her husband anyway.
WAIT, the motel hostess has killed bee husband holding a gun with her bare hands, with the bulk of biological traces on the trigger belonging to her, not the fugitive lass. Is she insane?
WAIT, why did the fugitives come to a brother of one or them? That would be one of the earliest places to search for both the police and the criminals.
WHAT? The hitmen were photographing all of their victims both alive and then killed and stored it on a flash drive? Impossible, no one have done anything like that. What usually is a incriminating evidence that theoretically can be loaded to a flash drive is financial transaction data for tax evasion, kickbacks, offshores, etc.
COME ON, why did they make Tay’s character confess and trying to kiss someone without coming out first and establishing that the other lad is also gay/bi? This scene was absurd, not believable.
Why did not they leave Tay’s character in a secret place before coming to another crime boss to negotiate?
Why the trio has lots of silly dialogues during actions scenes when they have no time for this?
The security somehow disappears from the building, so the trio can easily escape and two enemy assassins can come right to the boss to shoot him. Hotels now only allow to enter staff who has IDs with biometrics.
OF COURSE, when there was a chance to fight back against at least some of its pursuers, there were dramatic poses and speeches, but action, the assassin was not killed.
A VERY naive rendition of how criminal organisations operate (not this way at all), but cute, I guess. But I wish they would have made more efforts in the research and consulting about this.
But, of course, we are in the fantasy BL world, where things do not have to make sense, so the drawback should not preclude anyone from enjoying the series. After all, in 2025 we had snake-breeding gay gangs in Revenged Love series, and it was still fine, LOL.
AN INTERESTING note in regards to the waiter ladyboy, played by Jenny:
The actor is a boy, hence the “boy” part in the “ladyboy” term, and s/he is using male pronouns just as fine as female ones and has no plans for any transition surgeries. Except for added boobs nothing was/will be done.
So no need for any Western worries about misgendering or anything. The Western issue is, as always, hubris and arrogance, trying to apply or install whatever “norms” it currently has to other countries and cultures with zero respect or care about how people live and think there, hence no concept of what “ladyboy” is.
But, of course, there are ladyboys who are that only as a transition state, as shown in this series on the example of this waiter character. Some people do want to have surgeries and become females.
Though it is not that common in Thailand as there is less pressure on people to conform to a specific gender and role. No one really there is looking at ladyboys and immediately thinks “Why did not you do the surgery yet?”
The clubs conflict drama is fake becaue it all was solved in university/college regulations many decades ago. No such conflict is possible.

This does not make those films bad. The Godfather, for example, is great.
So it is not a reason to lower the rating. Howver, there can be other script issues that lower the rating.

I do not know Chinese, but his account on Weibo seems to abandoned, right? I see posts from 2019 or 2021:
https://weibo.com/u/2016826997
For some reason, it does not show full year under posts in Activity tab, so maybe I am wrong.

You almost get surprised when the BL aspect kicks in in the second part of the series.
Just friendship already fully enough for the story to work.
Just watched 3 Will Be Free series, and the chap was a hundred percent believable. Impeccable performance by the actor.
If so, then maybe you could still watch the series and enjoy the sight, regardless of how silly the plot events or how tame the performance are?
I am watching 3 Will Be Free, and our ladyboy is good there. Not theatrical or anything, but precise up to the character.
