However, this is what happens in real life as some people are like that.
So this alone does not make the series bad. For another example, in the best films ever like Godfather and many others characters do things as bad or much worse, like murder, and never apologise, too.
Fictional characters are not actors/idols who are expected to apologise for everything. They can be as bad as regular people can be in real world and as the story requires.

WAIT, what kind of “betrayal” Kan did to Earth’s character? Either they were married, or this is nonsense. Kan loving Earth character’s father is not a betrayal in any way.
The sound quality in this series is bad. So much noise. The overall production is very cheap.

The whole project of reassembling the evil artefact looked evidently unnecessary after the attack on the cloud clan in episode 11.
The cloud clan specialises in defence and that the ribbons help with barriers. But this all is a joke because the clan has immediately failed both in defence in general and with the barriers upkeep specifically.
Thus the events of the novel and the series devalue the very core of the word building the author was creating up to that point. It all had turned to be meaningless and it had cheapened the narrative, what is one of the known critiques of The Untamed.
Wait, why did the cloud lad who was always carrying an evil artefact piece with himself came out of the hidden cave and gave the piece to the Wen clan? He has devalued all of his clansmens’ deaths by doing this. They did not need to die at all, if the result is that the piece is not guarded and just given away anyway.

Why did the clan leader take his daughter to a far away land, a dangerous trip? Back in the day daughters would never be allowed to do such travels. They are not trained to take such hardships.

Why did not the clans get together to better protect themselves, united, but have spread to their residences to their could be defeated easily? Makes no sense.
What? Another clan leader was killed in like one second. Neither he nor his assassin wife were able to kill any enemies of note, not even tertiary grade captains from Wen clan. The series is always devalues its own world. The supposedly strong characters went away cheaply.
Their son is nearly always in a hysteria state, while in reality noble families teach stoicism.
Why is he crying about his core melted, if he was a useless weakling even with it intact? There would be still not way for him to succeed in revenge.
The sister is way too old to be not married, unless she is ill and can not have children.
The timeline titles like “16 years ago”, “7 years later” etc make no sense because the story within the huge flashback actually starts 32 years before the resurrection. It lasts to 16 years before, when Wei was killed.
It is not believable how no one in episode 27 who has known Wei for years and who can actually see that he was not in the wrong was really trying to defend him, except for some young lads from the golden clan.
The named brother of Wei Jiang could have decided to side with his saviours and Wei, but did not, which is dubious.
The Wen branch lass’ idea to surrender herself and her brother for killing golden clan people as an attempt to save Wei from future attacks makes no sense because it is obviously too late at this point. The only rational thing to do was to repent, living a quiet life.
No one else had to die after the tragic accident, but the whole Wen clan has died.

But there was also a 2024 scandal where a female producer has accused the lad of cheating with his manager lady, but also came up with her own set of abuse allegations. That did not work, either, becaue that producer lass has made similar accusations against her other former lovers.
The overall takeaway that those scandals were not conclusive in any substantial way for the cancel culture to work. Most people who were looking at those scandals were not buying it because of the lack of evidence.

I wrote about an 8 as a threshold, but now I found probably the holy grail of “toxic” series that people hate and downvote because of its content, not because it is bad: What The Duck 1/2. The average rating there is just 4-6.
The series is certainly not a masterpiece of anything, and it has some of the same stupid things other series have, but it portrays some of the most realist characters and things that can actually happen. It is not an easy watch sometimes, but I applaud it. And some of the actors are actually gay, which is rare.
This means that the ratings are really useless for me as a tool to find decent series. I have to watch myself even series that are rated 4, LOL.

The guy would not have been able to perform the act or even have a desire to do it. The authors should have made him only somewhat drunk, but then this plot would not make sense for a different reason.
Just as with the first series, the whole drama about becoming or not become a steward is a stretch because it is not a transfer to a different country. Lovers can live like that just fine.
Just as in the first series, it is distracting when they pretend to drive stationary cars.
