I have to say that lately things got better in general at least for the Q part of the LGBTQ, because we have seen ladyboys (a separate category that is not transitioning to anything but embraces their own duality) getting series roles sometimes, not just to be a joke. But still not much of a progress for the T, the trans people, indeed, unless I missed something.
Why no drama still about people who discover their sexual duality or that they are the opposite gender mentally? It could be a powerful piece, and it does not need to be dreadful, it can be still be made into an accessible and enjoyable show.

6. So far the narrative is the conflict is a “misunderstanding”, that the army/government/rich are SECRETLY good while the ingrate plebs think they are corrupt as per usual, LOL.

But it is realistic that some naive brainwashed people could have been believing into this propaganda in 1969.

I know Thai people who are exactly ladyboys, not trans, and it is not a slur or transphobic at all. The Thai word kathoey means basically ladyboy, and has it nothing to do with anything trans. Those people are not transitioning to anything, they embrace the duality of who they are, and the term itself, be it in Thai or in English.
But, as I mentioned in the previous comment, I have seen progress so far in terms of ladyboys sometimes getting serious roles and treatment, but not so much actual trans people, which is a separate category.
Maybe I missed it, but no roles of note were given to MtF or FtM in Thai dramas still, so things are yet to improve here.

I don't think this goes beyond realism. This does happen as sad as it is.
Of course, lots of humans are cruel. But for me to fully submerge into a story I have to believe it can happen as shown. And knowing how this sex trafficking works even in places much worse than Japan this series is so beyond what could be real that it works against the message, it is exaggerated just too much.

The idea of a “deal” between two psychos to pretend to date each other so that neither of them would get to date the main lad is not believable because the man lad has agency even if the upper class treats him as a thing, and it clear that he was liking one of the psychos so it is really stupid that the psycho has refuses the opportunity for happiness.
The excuse the psycho provides is insane, not believable at all. I wish the writing was less absurd.
With one of the psychos being overtly violent the man lad should have recorded his threats to kill a person and file a report to police, but he did not, which is silly.
