I've never been so happy for a series to end. It was bad cringe writing and directing to the very end and almost destroyed my OhmFluke ship. However, like an accident you can't help but look at, I kept watching. My reward was one scene in which Fluke had a decent haircut! But in the next scene, his hair is back to being a nightmare. Oh well, it was in keeping with the disappointing theme of the series.

It's interesting that they expect people to pay to see the finale in the theater after barely scraping through weeks of nothing happening in each episode. Is the drama actually well received in Thailand?

BL writers can only imagine one position for sex, and isn't a realistic one. You'd have to be precisely the right…
For a moment there were good emotions in their eyes and I thought there would be some bonding dialogue - I know, I forgot which reality I was in for a moment. This writer doesn't do bonding and whether they do dialogue or not is questionable. Then they proceeded with the awkward deed and all I could think of was the glass on the ground next to them. I thought Physical Therapy was torture, Oh! My Sunshine Night is worse.

WHY? Just WHY are there MORE episodes?? Don't extensions usually happen when a series is good and getting rave reviews? How is this disappointing mess getting funding for more episodes? Just who is sponsoring this disaster? The one good thing about episode 16 is that the horse didn't look stressed out for once. Its ears were actually somewhat relaxed.

This wasn't anything deep or meaningful, but it was especially charming. All the characters were adorable and it seemed to really capture that "manga" mood.

I love the characters and the progress and growth of the couples. The core of the drama still feels lukewarm to me, though. I don't feel any sense of danger or real abuse regarding the school, so all the student angst feels like an overreaction. I can understand that perhaps the uniform issue is supposed to be symbolic, but the way it's been handled doesn't move my emotions at all. In contrast, Not Me was very up front with issues and you got the sense that the characters were at risk so it maintained a good tension. In The Eclipse I was hoping that they would build some type of similar tension appropriate to its own environment, but so far it's kept to its baseline. Still, I'm here for the great characters.

This had potential, but overall felt like an immature middle schooler's fantasy that should have been wrapped up in 10 episodes.

The production quality is great, Phak and Phong are highly entertaining, and Mos is doing a good job of bringing Mangkorn to life. The only thing that bothers me is that Yai doesn't have the same vibe that he has in the book. ISBANKY is going through the motions, but he's giving off a whiny child feeling more than anything else which changes the dynamic for me. Hopefully things will improve.

After reading the comments, I thought this was going to be unbearable, but it wasn't that bad. The characters were good, the story was okay, and even though the editing and direction were a mess, I found the series entertaining. It delivers a good message, and even though people have complained about the homophobia and sexual harassment, I thought it was pretty realistic.

I found myself bored enough to search for how long a horse could live without water. If Snow White was in that…
Exactly this! You put everything I was thinking into words much better than I could have.

Just to be nitpicky, the last kiss was a bit stiff, like they were literally making their mouths stiff which looked a bit awkward so the ending note wasn't as sweet as I wanted it to be. I think they needed a bit of workshopping, but I still appreciated that we got a kiss. The other thing that threw me off was when the director said he was 16 in another universe. What 16 year old can suddenly step into a 40 year old director's shoes and be able to do the job? Ah well, my complaints are pretty minor and didn't really affect my enjoyment of the series.

I really enjoyed this one. There where some draggy parts and the ad placement was heavy handed, but I liked the characters, storyline, dialogue and production quality. Jimmy's performance was especially outstanding and I hope to see him in a lead role again soon!

That's a good point. I hadn't taken the possibility of government censorship into consideration. Although it's still difficult for me to be drawn into the story as it's being portrayed, it's helpful to keep that in mind.

Yes, the classroom scene was a good one and I do appreciate the character development that is going on.

No, I'm not saying that physical violence is necessary to show oppression. I guess the problem I have with the story is that I don't see wearing a uniform as a fundamental lack of freedom. Society has certain norms that we follow such as dress codes in school and at work, stores require shirt/shoes to be worn, and these things have not led to human rights being revoked. Not being allowed to voice opinions in class is more of a problem in my mind, but that isn't what the students are protesting about. If there was a rule saying that you cannot contradict outdated textbooks and students can report each other for even discussing updated information or ideas, then that would be oppression more in line with the 1984 reference. The examples of oppression I listed previously are things that have actually happened in some schools that invoke an emotional response in me. I'm not saying circumstances have to be that extreme in order to be counted as oppression, but the uniform issue just doesn't draw me into the story. I wish it did because I really want to enjoy the series and feel some kind of emotion about it.

Yes, I understand that the uniforms are symbolic, but I don't think it's enough to drive the story. The school administration really isn't being unreasonable enough to draw parallels to 1984. I'm just disappointed that I can't get into the story. I was really looking forward to this series.

I love the cast and the acting, but the story doesn't intrigue me at all. If the students were up against real oppression, it would give the story some tension. If they were being beaten, shamed, denied food, water and bathrooms based on their grades, then I could see why the rules should be challenged. But it all seems to be centered around uniforms which is so anticlimactic. And because that basic premise is so bland, I don't feel any sense of mystery about the curse or what happened to Dika. I expect them to be just as shallow as the rest of the story. I appreciate the relationships and character development, but as they occur in such a contrived setting, I don't have much emotional involvement.

I have to say, the comments here were way more entertaining than the drama. They almost made the time I wasted watching the series worth it.

I appreciate what they were going for with this production, but aside from the cinematography, it fell flat for me. I've seen deep, meaningful, intriguing storylines in films that I think this drama was trying to emulate. However, On Cloud Nine was a rather simple, shallow story that did not inspire me to have any emotional connection with the characters. I didn't sense a bond between them and felt that the actors were uncomfortable with their love scene which was not filmed with the same whimsy as the rest of the drama. It felt gratuitous and awkward.

Also, there were so many interminable pauses in practically every scene that I had to start watching at 2x speed just to get through it. But my biggest complaint is the lack of depth and meaning to the story. It's a 4 for me just because I appreciate the thought and effort they put into it.
