*sigh* Episode five and the writing is still bad. Most of the episode seems like filler. I don't feel anything about Kim and Sun. They don't have charisma and Sun's character isn't very consistent. Also, if he eats one more apple off the floor I'm going to scream. I think he'd be better off chewing on aspirin, though I'm sure he'd constantly drop them too and Kim would have to pick them up for him anyway. They are such an unlikeable couple. Rain and Phayu are the one bright spot in this series..
Ugh, it started out rough and it's not getting any better except for the Phayu/Rain chemistry. I'm a big OhmFluke fan, but the writing is so bad for their characters that it's hard to watch even at 2x speed. I thought Sun was going to be bright and sweet, but in episode 3 he seemed pushy and obnoxious. If I were Kim, I'd be completely turned off. I guess episode 4 was supposed to be about fan service, but I kept thinking about vomit. Ah well, I'll keep watching and hoping for the best.
This had great pacing, chemistry and tension. The side couple was a nice counterpoint as they were a bit quirky. I had to take off a point because the conflict in episode 10 was so contrived and ridiculous. But I had to give the point right back when I saw Wayne Song and Huang Chun Chih in episode 12. I even cried. Yes, I have a scar from HIStory3: Make Our Days Count that will never quite heal. But that scene was good medicine.
The series has slowly been improving. Yoon is believable as Kamol now and he's bringing the chemistry. Ton portrays Kim in a bland way, though. There is no charm or chemistry from him. I get that the writing is bad, but he just seems to be going through the motions. At least they seem more comfortable in their physical scenes now.
The acting was excellent, the story was interesting, but the writing fell off a little in the last two episodes.…
In episode 15 when they find Shin Myeong Hwi in his home and realize the evil spirit is in his son, why didn't they just carry him to the car and all go back to the noodle shop together? They already knew they weren't going to be a match for him unless they were all together. And why didn't they tie him up?
Also, I wish the writer had come up with a more clever way of defeating the evil spirit in the end instead of So Moon just suddenly becoming super powerful after they all got beaten up.
I felt empathy for Ji Chung Shin considering his childhood. He still had a bit of goodness in him that made him want the kids to be happy. I feel like that should have been recognized in the end. He could have be given a chance to reconnect to his child self. He probably would have still ended up where he did since he was so damaged, but at least that part of him would have been acknowledged.
The acting was excellent, the story was interesting, but the writing fell off a little in the last two episodes. Still, it was a pretty satisfying series.
I can see why this is only six episodes. It barely has a plot and they are stretching it out as it is with repetitive scenes. The writing is bad, none of the characters are likeable in the first two episodes, there is no chemistry between any of the couples. I just feel awkward watching this, but I'm hoping BounPrem have some entertaining scenes at some point.
I feel like UWMA gave us two awesome ships with a well written series and now both ships are expected to carry poorly written dramas (this and Oh! My Sunshine Night) and it's just so disappointing because we expect better for these couples.
The writing is bad and the editing is strange and choppy. And speaking of choppy, Fluke's terrible haircut is distracting. The focus on the apples is a bit ridiculous. Yes, they are a good part of a healthy diet, but they can't be used as medication in an acute situation. The first two episodes were boring and I don't feel anything for any of the characters yet, but I'm continuing to watch because I loved OhmFluke in UWMA and I'm just hoping we get some meaningful scenes in future episodes.
Everyone was so good in this and the character development was excellent. Even though the plot is so far-fetched, the actors really made it believable and I got totally immersed in the story. I feel like I've been through the ringer, though. in need of a support group, I think. :p
This seems more like a parody that is making fun of BDSM. I laughed through the bedroom scene. I really can't take this seriously. It looks like the director has no experience with this genre and the actors really aren't selling it. Did they not have any workshops? There is no chemistry. I think if the directing was going to be this bad, they at least needed to cast a harder, edgier Kamol instead of baby faced Yoon who looks so awkward with a whip in his hand.
I am really impressed with the acting while swapped - speech, body language, posture. Wow! The leads did an incredible job. The ending was unexpected, but didn't ruin it for me.
So... this whole drama was obviously just an advertisement for Vibie, but even commercials are written better…
When they went the "this was all a bad film" route, similar to the "it was all a dream" trick, I thought that maybe, MAYBE the last episode would have some good acting and real chemistry. NOPE! It was cringy and awful and made me wonder if these good actors were actually losing their skills. I think they were just directed to over-act for comedic effect, though. I hope. I think my Kim/Cop ship is over at this point. I'm ready to see them paired with other people.
So... this whole drama was obviously just an advertisement for Vibie, but even commercials are written better than this drivel! I'm just astounded that someone got paid to write this script. Someone got paid to approve it. I'm wondering just what the actors were thinking when they first got the project and read their horrible lines. Were they forced into it by their agencies? The last episode was a lot of cringe and I hope to immediately erase the whole series from my mind asap.
I've noticed in a lot of BL lately that the main couple includes one person who emotes well and one who is stiff and awkward in their role. Boss had chemistry, Peter looked like he didn't want to be there. If Poon had been played by Force who really carried Enchante, I think this would have been a more enjoyable series despite the bad writing.
In the original manga, it doesn't develop like in episode 9/10 where Amagi-Shachou keeps pictures of Satou-San…
THANK YOU FOR THIS! The end of the drama just did not sit well for me, I was expecting more character development and a sane, if not sweet, conclusion which did not happen. Although I loved most of the episodes, I wish they had kept it more true to the manga in the last two. At least with the information you provided, I can imagine the ending it should have had.
This started out creepy with lots of cringe, then got interesting and charming, and finished with a collection of gratuitous scenes. Nuea/Toh were very cute and I appreciate what an oddball Toh is, but I would have liked to see some character development. Sky had great chemistry, but I didn't feel much from Khaojao. I wish they had explored Intouch and Daisy more. If they were going to give a character a conflict, they should show the resolution coming about rather than them just snapping out of it. Som and Tor were basically sounding boards for the other characters with no bond between them. Overall it was entertaining enough, but I had to finish on 2x speed.
The best thing about this drama was the chemistry. But the story had little substance. Instead of giving us endlessly repetitive Kuea/Lian scenes, a vague and confusing Diao/Yi storyline and a practically nonexistent Syn/Nuea pairing, I wish they had included the full storyline of Diao/Yi. That way every Kuea/Lian and Diao/Yi scene would have had to be meaningful and integral to the storyline. There would be no drag or repetition as there is a lot of story to cover. It could have actually been interesting and captivating. Instead, Diao and Yi just felt like a loose thread the entire series. I watched at 1.5x speed and it still felt slow. If they are saving the Diao/Yi story for its own series, they're still not justified in giving us a fragmented plot in this one. What a waste of potential. I did appreciate the production quality, the message for equality at the end, and the cute cameos. I'm hoping Zee and Nunew will appear together in a better storyline in the future.
Also, I wish the writer had come up with a more clever way of defeating the evil spirit in the end instead of So Moon just suddenly becoming super powerful after they all got beaten up.
