Title Queen of Tears Spoiler
I'm 20 mins into ep 14 and just curious to know... does anyone else think it's weird that Hae In's parents are…
Yeah, that's my big complaint. Since the drama is so well written, for them to not think of a clever reason why none of the family accompanied her feels like being whacked over the head. Like what?! Really?! Not even the aunt?? Give us something plausible, not just HyunWoo will take care of it.

Also, why is HyunWoo making a video to introduce himself to her? He should have been recording all their memories that they were making since HaeIn wanted to treasure them. And they should have made a video together where she tells herself who everyone is and what their importance is. Writing things down is not proof, she needs to hear it from her own mouth. If I were undergoing that surgery, the first thing that comes to mind is to make a video to myself, it seems like common sense.

This profile pic of him with the orange shirt on... doesn't look like him. I totally did not recognize him. Just why? Why is this photo representing him? There are so many infinitely better photos to choose from!

I feel like I just watched a drama about immature infatuation written by middle schoolers. JiHan was a manipulative psycho from start to finish and AhJung is perfect for him because she never questions his character. DoHan was basically a support role that was played from a straight perspective. His resolution was totally unbelievable and ridiculous. The first six episodes were great and then it went straight downhill into meaningless, shallow drivel.

I was afraid things were going to get draggy in the middle, but nope! Nice twists and turns. The characters are all consistent and entertaining. The appearance of Vincenzo was awesome, and the reference to SJK's other roles, hilarious.

This was thoroughly entertaining and I especially enjoyed the dark comedy, just wish there had been more of it in the second half. The writing, directing and acting were excellent. The first sex scene was totally gratuitous and too graphic for me to watch with my mother. -_- If not for that, I would recommend this drama to people I know. lol. And there was one plot hole towards the end, but it didn't bother me that much.

I'm curious to see what they do with the drama. The webtoon is really boring, flat, unoriginal and the ML is immature and does not respect boundaries. If the writer builds an actual story around the basic premise and gives the characters some depth, it has potential.

I'm just wondering, why in the world would HyunWoo keep the divorce papers? Someone as meticulous as he is would have shredded them when he found out HaeIn had only a few months left to live. I can't imagine he thought it would be too much work to write up the paperwork again on the off chance that she will live so he must preserve the papers in his safe. But I guess they were needed for the plot. I'll just pretend he shredded them and since the family watches him like a hawk, someone investigated all his trash and taped it back together again. :p

I feel so sorry for Baek Hyun Woo, but I have to say, I do like all of the characters for being the quirky, dysfunctional messes that they are. This drama is perfectly cast, I just hope that the comedy doesn't dissolve completely as we get more into the episodes as has often happened with other dramas.

Thank you! I've been trying to make the point that friendship is also a relationship and being best friends is supposed to mean something and involve communication.

JiHan is a horrible brother. He acted on his feelings for his brother's fiancee while under the impression that…
First of all, they did not protect DoHan his entire life. AhJong protected him for two years during high school because it never interfered with her own interests. JiHan made decisions based on his own greed, deciding what DoHan's life should be even though it wasn't what DoHan wanted.

I'm not saying they have to give up their love. I'm saying that JiHan is horrible for betraying his brother and AhJung is horrible for making a commitment, signing a work contract, and then reneging on it before she even had feelings for JiHan.

A friendship is a relationship too. It's also built on love, trust and communication. She made a promise to take care of her best friend temporarily and then went back on her word without telling DoHan what was going on.

The fact that you think it's a matter of DoHan not standing up for himself goes to show how the writers failed to address a huge concern that impacts LGBTQ+ individuals. If people are not educated through the media and entertainment industry, the harsh reality of a marginalized community will just not sink in for the general population.

I understand that you think DoHan is the horrible one, but your argument does not sway my perspective in the slightest. It doesn't seem that my reasoning appeals to you either so we're just going to have to live with having different opinions.

I think the confusion comes about because sexuality is not black and white. It's a spectrum, but society only normalizes being straight and pressures everyone to conform. When all you hear growing up is that there's only one way to live and be happy, it takes time to realize what is truly in your own heart.

People don't choose to be gay, they are born into their sexuality. Perhaps if this was portrayed more accurately in the industry, there would be more compassion and less ignorance surrounding this issue.

Title Wedding Impossible Spoiler
JiHan is a horrible brother. He acted on his feelings for his brother's fiancee while under the impression that…
The main problem is that LGBTQ+ people are discriminated against and persecuted by society making someone like DoHan resort to a contract marriage in the first place. So it seems plausible that he asks his best friend for help. AhJung agreed to it, she was not forced. True, she said she had never had feelings for anyone and would help DoHan in the meantime. The problem is that when she became infatuated with JiHan, she didn't tell DoHan what was going on. She stood him up, didn't talk to him, kissed JiHan on the street for the paparazzi to see, spent the night out with him, and still didn't communicate with DoHan before he found out another way.

And if by GUY you mean straight, of course DoHan is not going to change his sexuality by marrying AhJung. The whole point is that she's the only one he can marry because she knows the truth. Otherwise, #1 - his grandfather will arrange a marriage for him which would trap him in a lie, and would be terrible for the woman who thinks she is getting into a real marriage. And #2 - he needs the reporters to stop coming after him because they'll eventually expose his secret. No one should be outed against their will.

AhJung knew all this, knew it was a temporary contract marriage, and knew how important this was to DoHan. She was getting paid for it, so you can look at it as a business arrangement. She basically signed a three year work contract and immediately started reneging on the agreement before she even realized she had feelings for JiHan. If she and DoHan were such besties, I would think she would feel fiercely protective of him. She was supposed to sign the paperwork with him, but instead she flew off with JiHan for a date and ended up being photographed checking into a hotel with him. This was before they supposedly had feelings for each other. And she didn't even bother to call DoHan to cancel.

Title Wedding Impossible Spoiler
JiHan and AhJung are the worst. No, actually, the writers are the worst. The romance in this rom-com is what I…
JiHan is a horrible brother. He acted on his feelings for his brother's fiancee while under the impression that DoHan is straight and AhJung really loves him. There's no excuse for that.

AhJung is a horrible friend. She knows what protecting a gay friend entails since she did it for DoHan in school. For him to ask her to protect him again in adulthood, he was admittedly desperate and she understood his situation. Not only is it a temporary situation, she would also benefit from the arrangement and she made the commitment to her BEST FRIEND. But then she immediately doesn't follow through, doesn't communicate with her BEST FRIEND until she's already transgressed with his brother, and the reporter who they knew was watching them got ahold of the compromising photos because they couldn't bother to be discreet.

AhJung should have told DoHan that she was falling for JiHan BEFORE she acted on her emotions. But JiHan should have walked away before hooking AhJung in the first place.

Yes, DoHan might have been selfish for wanting to go through with the marriage anyway, but like he said, he's desperate and they've already made this commitment in front of his grandfather, the ball was already rolling on this. Ultimately it's not up to him and he knows that AhJung is going to do whatever it is that AhJung wants to do because that's who she is.

This drama could have addressed the LGBTQ+ situation in South Korean society, but it seems like there isn't even an LGBTQ+ consultant present. Throughout history, gay people have been getting married and going through the motions. They are regularly persecuted if they don't. Someone like DoHan is looking at this situation knowing he will lose everything, his family will be shamed, will reject him, the business will suffer and he'll never recover. The writers could touch on the fact that gay people coming out can expect to be ostracized, kicked out, fired, beaten, and sometimes even killed. That is why it's so scary and why DoHan is desperate and turned to his best friend for temporary protection. I know that no one is asking him to come out in the drama, but they have stated that DoHan needs to at least get married for a little while to throw off the reporters who are digging into his life so he's not exposed.

People who live in big cities in the West probably can't relate because they are used to a more liberal influence. Asia is a different story. Gay marriage is not possible in South Korea. They simply don't have the same rights everyone else has. They can be with their partner for decades, but if one of them ends up in the ICU, the other one is not allowed to visit them because they are not family. The drama could shine a light on the need for equal rights, but it doesn't. They just made DoHan gay to facilitate the contract marriage, there's no depth or meaning to the rest of the story.

Anyway, that's my rant. I really enjoyed the first six episodes when the FL was interesting and unique, and there was so much potential for the story. I think I'm extra disappointed that the writing took a nosedive because of the fact that I liked the beginning so much. I'm just going to hope to see these actors in better dramas in the future because this mess is not their fault; they're doing a great job.

JiHan and AhJung are the worst. No, actually, the writers are the worst. The romance in this rom-com is what I imagine a middle schooler would consider romantic. Scenes that are supposed to be warm and fuzzy are making me feel ick. The scenes where they show how AhJung and DoHan were besties back in school feel really discordant to their current friendship.

I really enjoyed the first six episodes. The FL was fresh and unique. But in 7 & 8 she turned into a typical, mundane FL character. I watched at 2x speed all the teen angst even though they are supposed to be adults. I'm disappointed that AhJung and DoHan's friendship isn't very close even though we're supposed to believe it is despite what we're shown. I've found no satisfaction at all in the last two episodes. I keep thinking of how I wanted it to go, how it could have gone, how much funnier it could have been, etc. The teaser didn't give me much hope for ep 9, but since this is only 12 eps, I guess I'll hang in there to see if any of the drama's initial charm comes back.

There were aspects to the story I really liked, but I can't decide if I liked the drama overall or not. The acting and directing were great, the story was both tiresome and meaningful, so although I'm glad I watched it, I can't say it was a fully enjoyable experience.

This is so much better than I was expecting. The writers have managed to make a common theme feel original. The FL is quite unique. Moon Sang Min is giving me Sung Joon + Mukai Osamu vibes which I find really engaging. They are all flawed characters, but I find them intriguing more than anything.

Title Last Twilight Spoiler
Absolutely love the series but can someone help me understand what was Mhok's mistake that they were all taking…
I think that they are equating pity with not treating Day as a sighted person. If Day could see, Mhok would have accepted the job offer because Mhok would know Day could take care of himself while he was away. But because Mhok thought Day, as a blind person, needed him, he lied about not getting the job. So that equates to being dishonest out of pity and Day would be afraid that Mhok would make future decisions with this mindset which does feel more like pity than love.
