So we got a cut version on Viki and one can only follow the story that we see in official version. And in official version, while he would be considered at least her friend, she could not call him her boyfriend.
It leaves a gap in the story line in my view:((

There might have been but in the end, he did not. I think when he went overseas her gave up on her in his mind, he could have called her for example or emailed her but all it took is a blocked Weibo. He changed his mind only after talking to his mother and decided to go back to fix things.

Well according to the cut version we are all watching, they did not kiss. She kissed his chin while drunk and he did not respond, at all actually. If we would have a uncut version then, yes, may be. And she might have planned to tell him while she was waiting for him to meet her, but he never showed up.
And her change of jobs happened while he was overseas and they have not been in contact. He did not tell her about his plans to move overseas but everyone in uni knew about it, all his friends. So from her point of view, he did not even consider her as a friend and why would she?

It also make more sense why she got so angry with him leaving. Because if she kissed him and he did not respond like we have seen in the cut version and he is not her official boyfriend, she should not be too angry about him leaving like that. But if they kissed like it was in the cut scene, well a completely different story.
