P.s. i also think his EQ is on the low side and he will not realise for a while the damage he had caused and will keep relationship with 2FL going.
It will probably take something like seeing his ex in intimate situation or similar to realise what he lost. FL has already passed anger stage and will try to move on, so I think she will try very hard to keep her distance, even if she still has some feelings.
Even if they get together, I can’t see how she can trust him again, one would always look over the shoulder after such complete disregard, humiliation and betrayal( and i am not talking about physical betrayal).

He got what he wanted, divorce and to keep his money. Lets see if this will make him happy.. i bet it will not. I also have an impression that his personality does not do well under pressure but when the pressure came off, he will realise that she is the one. While FL was aggressive and paid him a lot of attention, he was stepping back. Now she will pull back and i bet he will miss her.

You misunderstood me. I am not asking why he did not explain, i get it that he wanted divorce and that was his perceived way out.
I am saying that he could not emotionally and physically support his wife who he loved, nor did he want a child ( according to him it was because it would be too much work and stress), so how come becoming a surrogate father to a child that he met few times and has multitude of problems is doable and acceptable???

But how is taking on this difficult situation of a woman who has abandoned her child, who needs to build a relationship with her daughter and multitude of other problems is easier then situation with his ex wife and potential chid??

I agree, also husband knows about the cheating so this fracture could be related to heated discussion after that, we do now know. Females get violent as well and she did not want to use that” card” so there must be a reason for that

I agree with you to the point of her hatred does not mean anything. I think with the reveal in the court room she would feel betrayed even more. All Her angst, her life and her betrayed trust, all of that is still there. He did not say that he did not cheat previously when she was asking and no doubt crying, but it came up in the court room because what? he wanted to help his friend?? It does invalidate her as a wife and a partner when he could just put her aside like that and cause all that pain.
