This is a philosophical drama that explores “the rational investigation of the truths and principles of being, knowledge, or conduct” of the main and supporting characters. Through the fantasy element of the creation of a voice activated AI apparatus, the leading man, Moon Ha Won, is comforted as he creates an application that will help patients that have gone through traumatic events as he himself has. This drama evolves in super slow motion due to the unresolved feelings of important characters which, in one way or another, get their lives entangled through their interaction with Kim Ji Soo, an ephemeral character that leaves a complex and almost disturbing experience on everyone related to her. Then, there is also the lead female character, Han Seo Woo, which on the drama’s synopsis, is described as a person with “an open and optimistic mindset, believing that all things happen for a reason”. Most of the time, Seo Woo was ridiculously unreasonable, intrusive, impulsive, and insecure. Also, she develops a bizarre connection with Kim Ji Soo just after a few brief and almost nonsensical exchanges. Although the lead couple has good chemistry, their beautiful connection and developing love is wasted by Seo Woo’s antsy feelings toward Ha Won and her constant running away from him. Overall, the producers, writers, and editors missed to bring out a meaningful drama out of a potentially great story. Was this review helpful to you?

Zong Cai Fu Ren Wo Dang Ni Le (2024) is a great romantic comedy miniseries. The story is about the leading lady, Wen Yan (played by Han Yu Tong), who dies after an accident with a broken heart after her husband refuses to see her but, immediately, she finds herself alive and well being reborn a year before her death; thus ensued her determination to move on with her life without Shi Mu Bai (played by Sun Yue), the man that she has liked since childhood. Although the drama starts with a heartbreaking moment, the plot sticks to the comedy genre. The female lead transforms into s delightful force to be reckon with. The male lead, who, after her rebirth and insistence in getting the divorce, finds out that he really wants to stay with her, turns into a lovesick puppy and pursues her incessantly while protecting her when she’s in treble as she deals with her own troubles with her family. There is a non conforming antagonist that is always annoying the female lead and loves to slap but, it so just happened that the slapper keeps getting slapped by the female lead in a ridiculously funny way. The cast did a great job bringing their characters to life and, although there many misses of intimacy for the leading couple, their interactions are somewhat sensual, heartwarming, and funny. Sun Yue is great on the role of the pursuer that really loses his “dignity” in order to get back with her and Han Yu Tong is fantastic on both the naïve woman in love and clever force of nature roles. Overall, this miniseries is well done and entertaining, enjoy it! Was this review helpful to you?

This is yet another version about the female lead (FL) gets together with the male lead (ML) after her scumbag fiancé cheats on her with her sister. The ML is her fiancé’s uncle who falls in love with the FL and pursues her constantly. Even though the ML realizes her love for her later on, he’s always been protecting and caring for her. The downfall on this version is not the acting but the way the FL’s character was written and her obsessively strong feeling of responsibility for her deceased mother even when she knew that she didn’t love her fiancé and that he didn’t love her back. On top of that, no matter how much the ML did for her, it was not until the very end that she became secure enough to believe that he truly loved her. There is also the terrible and absurd behavior and actions from the ML’s father. Although the drama has a happy ending, the way the story is written for the FL makes the drama’s romance tiresome. The ML’s character was much better written and Shen Hao Nan did a good job in his performance of Lu Zhao He (ML). Was this review helpful to you?

Miss Unwieldy is a really nice miniseries that brings about the antics of the privileged class and how some choose to betray and hurt even their own family members for the sake of power. The leading couple both suffered injustice at the hands of family members and had to fake disabilities such as amnesia and mental defect for the leading lady and wheelchair bound mobility for the male lead. The male lead, Huo Mu Huan (played by Yu Luong) has been taking care of the female lead Su Nuan (played by Yang Mei Mei) since she became disabled and retrograde amnesia and was betrayed by her sister and was forced into married a guy that mistreated and took advantage of her. While Mu Huan was lovingly taking care of “Nan Nan”(Su Nuan), he fell in love with her, and vice versa. They join hands to take revenge on those that wronged them and had their happy ending. The main leads have a very good, heartwarming chemistry and their romantic scenes, although not many, were nicely played. Overall, this is a nice and entertaining drama to watch. Enjoy it! If the audience is used to short dramas, it will find that, although A Love Journal is a SUPER fast miniseries, it is really entertaining. It is even surprising that, in such a short time, the drama resolves the business aspects in a satisfactorily way and the lead couple has very good romantic chemistry. The leading lady works for a rival company and keeps that fact from her husband which gives way to the appearance of an antagonist from her company. The leads have met before in their high school days and seemed to have developed a nice friendship on that time. Even though the second leading couple doesn’t have the best romantic development, it is cute to see them together as the drama nears its ending. The drama starts as a marriage of convenience but, during the cohabitation, they gradually fell in love with each other. It also has a very nice ending, enjoy it! Was this review helpful to you?

Great adaptation of the Japanese shōjo manga series Hana Yori Dango and, to concur with other reviews, the best so far! Not having read the manga or watched the anime, I am not sure if it is close to the original work but, having seen all five drama adaptations (Japanese-Hana Yori Dango 1 & 2, Meteor Garden- Chinese and Taiwanese, Boys Over Flowers- Korean and, F4 Thailand: Boys Over Flowers), this is by far the most enjoyable with characters that are not over the top and that are more relatable. The drama is fast pace and the amnesia plot, although it was present, got washed out quickly and made the ending seem rushed. The cast did a good job bringing their characters to life and the chemistry among all characters was great. The leading couple also had good chemistry. Enjoy it! Was this review helpful to you?

This is a nice drama to watch while waiting for a great one to come only if you don’t mind:A series full of misunderstandings.
A drama that, although is focused on romance, the lead male is full of justifiable distrust since the lead female is constantly doing things that will cause the lack of trust and then complaining that he doesn’t trust her.
A main couple that has a lot of tender moments but there’s no thrilling chemistry between them.
A leading lady that cannot put her thoughts together to give a reasonable explanation to each one of her actions that were causing the male lead to mistrust her.
And last, but not least, even if the drama has a happy ending, it is wasted on the male lead trying to woo her as if it wasn’t not good enough that he left everything behind to follow her.

“Some Day or One Day” is a thrilling fantasy drama with a really nice steadfast romance that transcended time and space. The actors did a great job bringing their characters to life and the leading couple excels in making the viewer believe that there were really two different characters, especially Alice Ke as Huang Yu Xuan /Chen Yun Ru where her roles were as different as night and day. Greg Han was also fantastic on his portrayal of Wang Quan Sheng/Li Zi Wei. There is also Patrick Shi who gives a great performance as the enigmatic Mo Jun Jie; and last but not least, Yan Yu Li as the antagonist and disturbing Xie Zhi Qi | Xie Zhong Ru. The time travel plot is carried very well, although a little bit confusing at times. The only thing that could’ve been better were the romantic scenes between the leading couple while kissing, most of the time the kissing seemed forced, but they make up with their great chemistry and understanding of each other throughout the drama. This drama is really entertaining, enjoy it! Was this review helpful to you?
