No More Pretense: Mr. Huo's Daily Desire for Reconciliation (2024) is a nice romance drama with Wang Haozhen (as Huo Ling) and Cai Caiyun as Xiao Bai in the leading couple’s role. The leading couple did a good job bringing their characters to life but the plot relies more in the misunderstandings to create tension than in the couple’s feelings for each other. The leading actors had enough chemistry to provide a beautiful and tender romance but they spent most of the drama with a stoned or emotionless facial expression towards each other. If one looks at the male leads body language and concerned looks at the female lead, anyone can tell that he has liked her all alone. Still, the drama has a very nice ending. Enjoy it!
The drama can be found on YouTube under the caption: “After dealing with his 38 affairs with other women, she filed for divorce and he regretted it” or “My Ex-husband's Regret【Full】Stupid women live for love, now I live for myself”

This drama is not for everyone! The female lead, Su Xiang (played by Chai Hui Xin),Is a wife that has spent three years of her life at home without being properly introduced to society because she's mute. For most of the drama the Male lead, Fu Han Chuan (played by Shu Tong), keeps hurting her and denying his feelings for her in front of friends and family, but will not give her a divorce because . without letting anyone know, he has fallen in love with his wife. The problem is that his actions toward her can be taken as a good example of: There are loves that kill. He is steadfast on his feelings for her and rejects other "better" women's advances and protects his wife from others' wrongdoings, he is overly passionate about her but, without acknowledging his feelings, his passion is emotionally overwhelming for her. It took too long into the drama for him to confess his feelings, making the drama a bit tedious and redundant.

Miss Unwieldy is a really nice miniseries that brings about the antics of the privileged class and how some choose to betray and hurt even their own family members for the sake of power. The leading couple both suffered injustice at the hands of family members and had to fake disabilities such as amnesia and mental defect for the leading lady and wheelchair bound mobility for the male lead. The male lead, Huo Mu Huan (played by Yu Luong) has been taking care of the female lead Su Nuan (played by Yang Mei Mei) since she became disabled and retrograde amnesia and was betrayed by her sister and was forced into married a guy that mistreated and took advantage of her. While Mu Huan was lovingly taking care of “Nan Nan”(Su Nuan), he fell in love with her, and vice versa. They join hands to take revenge on those that wronged them and had their happy ending. The main leads have a very good, heartwarming chemistry and their romantic scenes, although not many, were nicely played. Overall, this is a nice and entertaining drama to watch. Enjoy it!

This drama is a real disappointment compared to all of the other remakes of the Taiwanese original story “The Prince Who Turns into a Frog” with Chao Zhang as Shan Jun Hao/Dang Ou and Joe Chen as Ye Tian Yu. This drama should not be considered a remake but a spin-off. The writer and director turned a nice romantic comedy into a Slap-Kiss lakorn with no redeeming qualities since, after recovering his memory, the male lead becomes a tyrant toward the female lead all the way to almost the end of the drama. Overall, the drama lacks progressive character development, the resolutions came too fast and, even with a happy ending, it doesn't leave a satisfying feeling. If the viewer wants to see better versions of “The Prince Who Turns into a Frog”, skip this one and watch:
The Prince Who Turns into a Frog (Taiwanese original story)
Waking Love Up (Chinese remake)

Warm Time With You is a really cute miniseries that, if it would’ve been longer, it would have made a really good drama. The leading actors did great delivering their characters in such a short amount of time and they had very good chemistry. So did the supporting actors. The plot could’ve used longer episodes in order to flesh out the characters, close loopholes in the storyline, and allow the supporting actors more time to get into their characters, which most of them still did a great job. If the viewer is looking for something short, cute, fun, and entertaining, this is the drama to watch. Enjoy it!
Side note: The translation is terrible, but one can figure out what is been said by following the characters’ body language and the plot. Still, there is “something lost in translation”!

This is a great drama. This drama is well casted with excellent writing, directing and performances from the actors. The set design and wardrobe are beautiful. Although I think that Kim Yoo Jung is a fantastic actress, Hong Ra On should have been played by an older actress; her age gave a sense of fragility to the romantic scenes with Park Bo Gum (the Crown Prince). Besides that, there is great chemistry among the lead actors and the entire cast did a great job creating a very good drama. Enjoy it!

The drama Listening Snow Tower (2019) is a good Wuxia, Martial Arts, Fantasy show, but it really lacks on the romance department, especially from the leading couple, unless the viewer is looking for a couple that sustained a non-existent romantic relationship marred by the constant mistrust from the female lead towards her “lover” and protector. There are constant explanations from the supporting characters about the actions from the leading couple towards each other and constant afterthoughts and flashbacks. The story and action elements of this drama are solid, engaging, and very entertaining, but the writer plagued the story with unnecessary death of central characters. Wanting to portray the pugilistic theme as a breeder of cold, conning, and unwavering characters that keep backstabbing the Listening Snow Tower Master, the drama missed the opportunity to create a great love story, since he fell in love with the leading lady at first sight. The leading lady spent most of the drama being stubborn, undermining, and willfully misunderstanding the person that she was supposed to love. Not until the end, you get a short reprieve that allows the viewer to enjoy a nice ending. Overall, if the viewer is looking for a good action show and great supporting actors, this drama is quite entertaining. Enjoy it!

Who Was the First to Fall in Love (2025) is a nice rebirth revenge and romance miniseries with Yin Yi Bo (as Shang Yan) and Gong Fang Ni (as Ruan Zhi Wei) in the leading couple’s role. The cast did a good job bringing their characters to life and the leading couple had very good rapport and romantic chemistry. There are some cliché decisions that the female lead takes that are irrational but the writers seem to believe that it is pleasing to their audience, but it is not something that truly affects the drama’s outcome. Overall, the drama is entertaining, at least to see the lead characters together.

Drama title: Yu Ni Chun Se is a cute miniseries with Wang Hang (as Xie Yanning) and A Shang (as Su Wanwan) in the leading couple’s role. The plot is a nice and lighthearted one about two people that fell for each other during high school but get separated due to a scheming third party. They meet again after 8 years and; this time, the male lead is determined not to loose the female lead again. The cast did well bringing their characters to life but, the leading couple lacks in the romance department. It is difficult to feel the chemistry and the female lead plays the push and pull game while teasing the male lead constantly. Overall, if the viewer is looking for something lighthearted, this is a cute drama to watch.

Title: On a Springtime Love Affair (2025) is a miniseries with Cao Tiankai and Tan Xin in the leading couple’s role. This yet another version of the leading lady falling in love with her best friend’s uncle who fell in love with her when they were younger. The plot on this one has some nice changes but it still is an adaptation from the web novel "Re Chan Chun Ruan" by You Yi Li as many other ones. The lead couple has a good number of romantic scenes that could have been better but the leading lady, Tan Xin, was a bit too stiff. Cao Tiankai did better, but there were no melting “I’m so much in love with you” facial expressions between the couple.
In the meantime, this drama can be found on YouTube under the caption: FULL The rich girl escaped from control but was held in the palm of her uncle's hand#tvseries

Miss Qiao's Top White Moonlight (2025) is a revenge romance miniseries with Yang Han (as Qiao Rong Chuan) and Meng Lu (as Qiao Xing Ye) in the leading couple’s role. The cast did a good job bringing their characters to life and the leading couple has very good chemistry. The lead actors romance is slow burn but their interactions were emotionally intense and their romantic scenes were nicely done. Qiao Xing Ye was betrayed by her fiancé and mistreated by her family but that was the beginning of her fighting back the grievance that she suffered during her lifetime. Qiao Rong Chuan finally finds her, and once again, he becomes her greatest ally and protector while making sure that they will stay together for the rest of their lives. This drama, even with the revenge plot, gives the viewer a strong, zealous and heartwarming love story between Qiao Rong Chuan and Qiao Xing Ye.

Yao Qing Li (2025) is a romance miniseries with He Cong Rui (as Gu Heng) and Ma Qiu Yuan (as Shen Qing Li) in the lead couple’s role. The drama has a mystery subplot that involves the female lead’s family and a romance that starts with a misunderstanding. The male lead seems to be completely infatuated with the female lead but, as the plot moves forward, the drama offers a background knowledge of situations and actions taken by the male lead that give glimpses of how deeply he loves the female lead, which has liked him since high school times. This drama is one that could have skipped the supposed “toxic” male dominance and still give the audience the anxiety build up with the use of the antagonists. The lead couple has great chemistry and the female lead is great in producing the effect of submission to his advances while still fighting to stay restrained since he “has an engagement” with someone else. The push and pull relationship of the lead couple is more an attempt to provide a noxious setting to the inception of the lead couple’s relationship, but one can see how deeply the male lead falls in love with the female lead that, after all, caused and didn’t clear the situation by involving him from the beginning. The leading characters are both strong minded and passionate, but their real feelings ooze deep love and tenderness as the drama progresses. This drama is good and entertaining, enjoy it!
For now, it can be found on YouTube under the caption: In order to cure her brother's illness, the heroine spent a night with her brother's mortal enemy

Li Shao Qing Fang Shou (2023) is a supposed romance drama that falls more into the category of a male lead that constantly plots for the cruelest revenge against the leading lady while still being in love (obsessed) with her, and a leading lady that, no matter how terribly she’s being treated, has never stopped loving her husband. Of course, this type of dysfunctional relationship and mistreatment is all due to antagonists trapping the leading male into believing their lies and, once the truth is revealed, everything is glossed over by the leadings man’s remorsefulness and impudent (overly cute) attitude to win her over again. This physically and emotionally heavy plot is not suitable for a short drama since the bitter flavor of the brutal relationship doesn’t have enough time to be sweetened to leave the viewer feeling the redemption storyline and feel happy and satisfied at the end.

This drama could’ve been a well done drama if it was not from the fact that the female lead Ming Yue (played by Bai Yan) spent too much time been drugged, kidnapped, and carried by the male lead and others; and the male lead Li Chuan Yuan (played by Lu Shan Dong) was always there in the nick of time to save the day! There is a nice chemistry between the leading couple and the drama has a nice happy ending. The drama is a miniseries so the plot seemed choppy and there were too many characters trying hurt the Ming Yue. There is also a good amount of frenzied characters and over the top crazy female characters. Overall, although this review is seemingly negative, the drama is not too bad but, one cannot help to feel dumbfounded at the amount of kidnappings, slaps, and being carried up for the female lead.
