As much as I wanted to like this drama, there are too many ridiculous, illogical and nonsensical scenes that made this drama unbearable. Although the drama has a seemingly cold male lead, his character is truly soul-stirring, loving, caring, and the most understanding of them all. The female lead, under the pretense of been a feminist, comes out as selfish, shallow, and unable to fully love the male lead. As a detective type drama, the leading couple has smart deductible thinking and good chemistry; as a romantic drama, it’s dull and tedious to watch. Then the last episode tops it all with the most absurd twist that leaves the viewer frustrated and balked. Was this review helpful to you?

This drama could’ve been a well done drama if it was not from the fact that the female lead Ming Yue (played by Bai Yan) spent too much time been drugged, kidnapped, and carried by the male lead and others; and the male lead Li Chuan Yuan (played by Lu Shan Dong) was always there in the nick of time to save the day! There is a nice chemistry between the leading couple and the drama has a nice happy ending. The drama is a miniseries so the plot seemed choppy and there were too many characters trying hurt the Ming Yue. There is also a good amount of frenzied characters and over the top crazy female characters. Overall, although this review is seemingly negative, the drama is not too bad but, one cannot help to feel dumbfounded at the amount of kidnappings, slaps, and being carried up for the female lead. This is yet another version about the female lead (FL) gets together with the male lead (ML) after her scumbag fiancé cheats on her with her sister. The ML is her fiancé’s uncle who falls in love with the FL and pursues her constantly. Even though the ML realizes her love for her later on, he’s always been protecting and caring for her. The downfall on this version is not the acting but the way the FL’s character was written and her obsessively strong feeling of responsibility for her deceased mother even when she knew that she didn’t love her fiancé and that he didn’t love her back. On top of that, no matter how much the ML did for her, it was not until the very end that she became secure enough to believe that he truly loved her. There is also the terrible and absurd behavior and actions from the ML’s father. Although the drama has a happy ending, the way the story is written for the FL makes the drama’s romance tiresome. The ML’s character was much better written and Shen Hao Nan did a good job in his performance of Lu Zhao He (ML). Was this review helpful to you?

This drama can be found on YouTube under the title: “Revenge to The Devil” Blind wife found husband's conspiracy and took perfect revenge”. Although the subtitles are not the best, which is a disgrace for this drama, the plot is a very good and smartly written revenge drama with a much better ending. The leading lady, Ai Lin / "Erin" deftly played by Jiang Shi Qi, is a strong and intelligent woman that, after been betrayed by her husband in the most heinous way and finding tha her son Dondon has disappeared, she reaffirms herself and steps on a path of revenge. By a chance encounter, she meets Luo Meijuan, a woman living miserably under the shadow of an abusive alcoholic husband, and the two formed a bond and helped each other to get away from their respective malevolent husbands. This drama is very well casted with great performances from the main characters Ai Lin (Jiang Shi Qi) and Wang Dao Tie as Wen Rick, Ai Lin’s Machiavellian second husband and the unscrupulous Inspector General of their police Department. This drama is not a romantic story, it is a great story about a woman who will do anything in order to protect her son and avenge her husband’s betrayal. Overall, the cast did a great job bringing their characters to life and the drama is provocative and entertaining, enjoy it! Was this review helpful to you?

This drama has a good storyline but the execution was poorly done and it became increasingly boring. The female lead was a breath of fresh air but even her cuteness was not enough to develop a good romantic chemistry between her and the leading male whose facial expressions did not convey love and tenderness. Even if the drama has a limited timeframe, the acting could have been better. The actress that portrayed the Empress did a decent job bringing her character to life. Overall, this is a one-time watch while waiting for a great one to come. Was this review helpful to you?
