You're welcome ! :) I think you really don't need to worry about that. I haven't spend a single year since 12 years without having to struggle choosing what were my favorites dramas of the year. So, enjoy without worrying ! Dramas are great really !
I’ve also been a drama fan for 4 months, but I still love almost every drama I have chosen to watch. However,…
I mean it depends on the tastes of course, but I think popular dramas are not the best. It's okay to watch it, i'm sure you'll find gems elsewhere. I've been watching dramas for 12 years now, and while i had few times i couldn't find anything that would interest me, I never really stoped neither. I'm sure you will keep finding things to your taste.
Maybe you just need a drama break ? When it happens, i go for variety shows. You seem to like korean dramas... But korean variety shows are so funny too ! And if dramas and variety shows are not working, I go for movies ! Movies are amazing too !
If really you insist on watching dramas, maybe you should watch some from a nationality you don't often do.
Question : would you guys recommend rom-com dramas after a break up ? I never had to be in this situation, so I don't know, but I thought people after breaking up would rather not watch anything with romance ?
Dakara Watashi wa Oshimashita is damn good...you won't regret it! :) I see you have Naked Director in your PTW…
I actually love the AV theme ! At least I thought it was great in Mosaic Japan. I've watched it when there were no subs so i didn't understand all of it, but some dialogues were great. I'm really curious about this one. Not sure to like it, but at least the AV theme is quite unusual, so it has more potential to surprise me i guess. :) I'll try to watch it soon ! Thank you for the recs!
I haven't watched many jdramas this year, so I think i won't be able to participate in the MDL award Japan. If someone got few recs. I dislike episodic dramas, and i mainly like Slice of Life dramas, and enjoy sometimes a bit of a comedy.
I think i'll watch Dakara Watashi wa Oshimashita this week tho. :)
I think the series choosen are better for a bigger audience instead what you have choosen. The series are good…
I completely agree with you on how the fans shouldn't discard dramas filmed before 2012.... while still feeling dramas in general got better within the years. According to my taste at least. I don't agree with you for Boys Over Flowers vs HDL / MLFRS, while those are not on my "favorites dramas" list, I have more affection for those, but i won't go in details with it because you have already your opinion anyway and it's ok to not like it. Everyone has their own taste after all !
I understand your point anyway. I feel this especially with japanese dramas. I can't get enough of old japanese dramas, even those i had not seen before so i'm sure it's not because of the nostalgia effect, but i hardly can remember recent jdramas. Still, a question of taste i guess.
But yeah, i also regret that we don't talk enough about old kdramas. Like we do, but it's usually about those "classics" that everyone have watched already, and not so much the "underrated" one... But i guess it could also be because it's harder to watch it legally or even stream it at all.
I agree to some point. I can think of few second male lead syndrome (Jeongpal in Reply, or Taekwang in School 2015 for exemple, but again in this case it's mainly because i hated Nam Joo Hyuk's role)... Then again, are they really considered the second male lead ? Does ending up with the girl makes your the second lead ? Because i'm pretty sure their characters were way more important than the guy the girl end up with. I can think of Surpluss Princess too, when i definitely had a second lead syndrom, but then the girl end up with him... So yeah. Idk. But most of second lead are annoying "nice guys". Meh. Kind of disgusted me. It makes me think of all the annoying boys we meet pretty much everyday. Meh.
I used to watch a lot of korean shows, but nowadays I don't follow any programs every week. Still, when i'm really in need of a korean variety show, I usually go for Knowing Brothers. It's often the same jokes, the same games, but it's still entertaining. I'm also enjoying the banmal, which makes the guests more comfortable than the usual program.
B1A4's episode is never mentioned but i remember laughing so much at this time. I loved Seventeen's episode too but i may be biased. (Not criticizing your list, just adding with my own taste haha).
I don't know why, but this article made me want to listen to Ueda - Love in snow... AND I CANT FIND IT ANYWHERE.…
OOOOOH ♥ Actually i've went on that link this morning, but it didn't work so i thought it wasn't working anymore, but i guess it was just a problem of device or server. Thank you ! :) ♥ ♥
Everything was perfect from the 1582 stage. I think it's the most memorable solo of any member (even if Nakamaru is my favorite).
KAT-TUN was never my fav johnny's group, but they will always have a special place in my heart. I'm surprised to see i've seen everything from Yukan Club to Nobuta wo produce, and then pretty much nothing ? (well, except Boku unmei no ito desu and Henshin Interviewer no Yuutsu that i've watched because i was missing Nakamaru but i just couldn't get into it).
Kizuna was the second japanese song i've learned the lyrics of (after V6- Feel your breeze) haha. Makes me nostalgic. One of my favorite KAT-TUN song is Rescue tho. It's one of the rare jpop song I made my kpop friend like haha.
Thanks for the comment! It all depends on the taste of your friend. Who knows? Maybe he'll like Bayside Shakedown…
Right, i was definitely disappointed to not see more domestic production on the list, but well... I haven't seen Antarctica but... definitely not on my "to watch list" lmao. Maybe one day when i'm sick. Hahaha, you might be right. I think i'll give it a try first before deciding whether i put it on the list or not. :)

I've add Kinou Nani Tabeta to my "plan to watch list". Thanks for the recs!
Just share your 2019 favorites ! :)

edit: guess that's not what you meant, i had missed your earlier recs

I'll check it out soon !
