lmao, funny to have this article happen now, when yesterday's morning i just checked out the wikipedia page of the highest grossing films in Japan. I was searching for few movies to recommend to my friend, but I mainly watch Sono Sion's movies, Nakashima Tetsuya's, Kore-eda's and Takeshi Kitano's ? I can't think of anything else ?
Well, I never watched this movie though, neither the drama. Maybe i should give it a try but i doubt it's the kind of movie my friend would like anyway haha. Still missing old jdramas, so i think that will do for me.

Right now it feels like a creepy rom-com ? I'm loving it, but the main lead said in the first episode the drama was not a "love story"

Since some people were wondering how the drama is.. From what i watched, it doesn't take itself seriously. It's a drama based on entertainment, with stupid conclusion and just made to be fun.

I discovered Arashi thanks to dramas too, loved few of their characters, started loving few of their ost, and got to fall in love with them later.
This article was a fun read. It kind of makes me want to watch all of those again and to sing along all the lyrics of the songs.

I also loved Kotoba Yori Taisetsu na Mono. I was a kid when i watched Stand Up, Like... Really, a kid. All those sex related question didn't speak much to me, but I LOVED the opening so much, and it's pretty much what made me watch the entire drama.

And... Namida no nagareboshi ??? I honestly love this song so much. Plus both of the HanaDan ost ? Just hearing the song makes me nostalgic of my first dramas.

I can't totally understand. This is honestly one of the most annoying drama trope ever. It's crazy how those directors don't seem to get tired of it. Guys. You don't need to rely on childhood connection to make a relationship look great on screen.

I like it so far. Can't say if it will be a good drama or not, but i loved the atmosphere. You can feel the emptiness of the main character I think Ong Seong Woo is doing a great job. I could already relate to him in some kind of way.

I never put out comment to thank you guys for translating, but thank you so much for taking time to do it. 10 years ago, I tried to do it and spent sooo many hours on just one single drama episode, trying to find all those words i couldn't find the meaning of, trying to understand those weird metaphor i couldn't get... The result was so bad. In the end i was so ashamed of the result I was never able to finish watching the drama lmao. You guys are doing an excellent job, thank you for taking so much time to share with us those wonderful dramas. This is definitely not an easy thing to do. Thank you.

I really love Anata no ban desu. I love the pacing, and it feels like it's been a while since i've enjoyed so much a mistery jdrama (as i hate almost every episodic drama).
Thank god the main character is played by the likeable Tanaka Kei. His character is just... like... I know you're nice but like ITS SERIOUSLY NOT THE TIME TO ACT LIKE YOU'RE A CUTE 6 YEARS OLD KID. But i love how Ono (Room 301) is so creepy. I'm interested to see how it will go.
I'm a bit scared on how they will resolve the mistery. The ending might be disappointing; but right now it's still great !

3 years is a long but short time at the same time. As someone who watched dramas for 12 years, i've had few dramas slump. It's ok to stop trying new dramas for a while, it might be for only few days, few weeks, or maybe few months... But it's not that big much of a big deal haha. It used to be so weird and sad for me to not be able to get into any dramas, i felt like i lost the thing i enjoyed doing the most... But yeah, there's so many things to do instead ! Like you said, watching movies, watching non-asian tv shows too, reading, watching reality shows... It's ok to be in a slump !
Well, not saying it will definitely happen to you, but... Just saying : dropping is sometimes the healthiest. You may one day need to have a break to find passion again.

Q1) I have watched only 7 or 8 episodes of BOF. I really disliked everything about it, even though I loved Hana Yori Dango. Nevertheless, I feel really nostalgic whenever i see BOF content, because this period was gold. I'm sure everyone who's a bit into kpop or kdrama knows few songs of the OST.

Q5) I've watched Hana Yori Dango like i said yes, it was one of my first drama ever. I've also recently watched the Hana Yori Dango movie from 1995, just for entertainment. It was AWFUL. So bad. SO SO SO SO BAD. But it was a 1hour movie so yeah, at least i was able to laugh a lot at how bad it was. SO AWFUL.
For the japanese drama version, well, i guess i will always feel nostalgic whenever i watch it. The plot is terrible, but i still love it lmao. Makino is a good character though, i loved how strong she was, if you compare it to the korean version (imo). Domyoji was more entertaining too. And i felt that the way he was acting was a little bit more forgivable than Go Jun Pyo's. Oh also, i've watched Hana nochi hare, even if it's not the same but... yeah.
I don't think i'll watch BOF one day, because well... I MEAN IT WAS SO BAD AND EVEN AT THE TIME WHERE I WAS ABLE TO ENJOY REALLY BAD DRAMAS WELL, IT DIDNT WORK WELL WITH MY HEART. Plus.... Kim Hyun Joong... yikes. But i don't know, maybe i'll give it a try again to Meteor Garden when i want to watch something i don't have to be too invest into.

I never really considered Kisarazu cat's eyes a sport drama, but it's such a good one. I really miss their group of friends. I think i'll watch it again soon. Still one of the most hilarious drama.
