Or I am thinking it could be that FL’s parents die and ML was there but couldn’t save them and FL is going to hold grudges on him. Another cliches plot in XianXia. Either way, such plots can be draggy to see😅.
Watched this on YouTube. a story with good intention to showcase racism and how Chinese were treated with cruelty in those times. However this drama tried too hard to add plots on murder mystery, with revolution movement, slavery, power and control; that it become a huge mess. Just watch with an open mind and for laughs. Chow Ren Fatt put up a good show. The pairing of Wang Bao Qiang and Liu Hao Ran is always fun to watch. But I am glad they wrote this story as a stand alone and not much relation to previous series. But this is definitely a little to serious to be featured during the Chinese New Year period.
