It’s the script, the first few ep. was shown how ML is prejudice towards FL and treated her unkindly. Then SML came along and he is so far kind and sensitive to FL. Now FL lost her memories, and ML discovered her strengths and start liking her, and being jealous towards SML, so I feel some of us felt SML deserves FL more. lol. It’s how it is, viewers’ perception tends to be easily affected by what we see.
So maybe you want to watch on and decide how it is for you.

I know what you mean about LSS’s acting. Her current role/acting feels the same as the past two WuXia I watched her in recently, ‘Kill my Sin” and “My Journey to You”. I get disconnected. I dropped the other Fox spirit stories very fast, at least this one still keeps me interested so far.

They are both human, however FL by genetic has a special blood hence her magic spell can do more for the demons as shown in latest ep.
